Happy Monday!
We’re happy to share a few new photos of Coz in training. The folks at Mayberry Farm call him handsome, personable, and lovely to be around! He’s pictured here with his rider Ronaldo, who has been at Mayberry Farm since Zenyatta’s training. His kitty friend, Daisy, is shown perched at her regular spot above Coz’s stall.
When we recently asked for feedback and suggestions concerning the Zenyatta Shop, we received such a wonderful response. Thank you! It’s going to be a fun year with new product releases down the line.
Last but not least, at the bottom of this post you’ll find a special note from Ann Moss. She wanted to share a very sweet moment with all of you. Enjoy!
The last time I had seen Coz he was running around in his own paddock showing off for us and his buddies in the paddocks next to him. A very happy young man. This is the first time I had seen him since he started on his new life with Jeannie Mayberry, getting ready for what he was born to do… race. His racing career had begun. Jeannie had given him the same as his Mother: the last stall where he has perfect view of the whole barn and even the training track. Made me weep with joy (which I’ve been known to do smile) to see him standing there as he let me kiss his sweet nose, this big boy already grand and majestic receiving his saddle and his rider and proudly doing his lessons.
Later in the day standing in a gentle mist visiting with Zenny, I suddenly felt inclined to show her the video I had just taken earlier of her boy and knew how proud she would be of him, of how well he was doing with all his lessons and how Jeannie had said he was so smart and kind and how wonderfully he moves… She suddenly started her dance and tossing her head and turning her head to look at my iPhone! She totally knew she was watching her son Cozmic One and she was very proud. She especially liked the video of him getting his bath and she literally licked my phone! Reminding me yet again how I have to pick up my conversation with her. That she totally gets and understands All. Of course she and I have had many chats on the phone over the years and he’s always been around nosing in on our conversations, so it totally makes sense but still stunned me as well. So I wanted to share these constantly amazing Beings with YouS :) and say again Thanks! for all the Good Thoughts Well Being and Love YouS send to Them =)

Dear Ann…your words touched our hearts. There is no doubt Zenny is an angel in disguise and knows more of everything going on in the world around her than most humans.
Thank you for sharing her life with us and the lives of her boyz. Coz is so much like her…he will always make us proud because we feel he is a huge part of us, too.
You and Zenny are true soul mates…we cannot imagine what it must be like to be so close to her. God Bless you, Ann and the Mayberry’s and, of course, the folks at LE who care so wonderfully for our Queen.

Dear Ann,
Thank you ever so much for sharing the news about your big handsome boy Coz and Zenyatta. Horses have a special way of connecting spiritual with us. Zenyatta is beyond one of those special creatures born to share her greatness with us. Thank you for being such a wonderful Mom and of course an inspiration to all.
Sincerely,

Dear Mrs. Moss,
What a touching piece you have written. Thank you for sharing your private moments with Zenyatta!!! You have a deep connection with her: you are truly soul mates. Was CoZmic One named after that connection?!?!?
I truly believe Zenyatta knew that was her/our first-borne. I think if he decides he loves racing, she needs a tv during the Triple Crown races!!!!!!!
You are a dear person, Mrs. Moss.
Thank you,
Mary in Boone

Ann Moss, you made me cry. Thank you! :) How magical and exceptional Zen is.

Zenny is pure magic! Her connections, especially Ann, so kind and wonderful to include us in the Queen’s life. I am so proud of Coz…I feel he is my own since I have had this unique opportunity to share his life with so many other adoring fans.
From what Jeannie has said, our Coz learned his first lessons well from his mom
I just love how Ann said she recognized the video of him!.

Wonderful, wonderful post. Great pictures with great subjects very welcome, of course, but it’s Ann’s letter that is so special. Truly wonderful and had me with tears literally streaming down my face as I read it. We lucky Zenyatta fans are so blessed by this Website and by everyone connected to Zenyatta and her beautiful family. She was not only a spectacular race horse, but she is proving to be a spectacular producer of really fine offspring, fine in every way! Thank you so much to the Z-team and to Ann for sharing that really tender moment with her wonderful mare.
Love to you all,
Virginia

Dear Mrs. Moss,
Thank you for letting us keep up with Coz and his Mom. She is so special and so exceptional I believe she did know that was her boy on your phone. I’m glad to hear Coz is so personable, too. If he can run anywhere near as well as his Mom he will be something special to watch on the track, too. I can’t wait to see him – but not as much as you, I’m sure!
Love and thanks,
Joan

Wonderful Ann Moss: Your “wonderful” comments brought tears to my eyes. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. Z is the most amazing girl – perfection – and I have no doubt she knows… So proud of Coz as he gets it and becomes his own horse.
Love to Z and Team Z for all you share. Truly special

Great post. I love the little note from Ann, and seeing Coz galloping and posing like mom. He’s beautiful.

Dear Ann; To read your part of this newest letter overwhelmed my heart. It is through you Ann and the love and trust Zenyatta has always felt with you, that Z was able to acknowledge her son Coz. UNBELIEVABLE!! Thank you Ann for letting us know of this. This means sooooo much to me!
I also believe that Coz is at a wonderful place for her training. I was lucky vacationing to visit Mayberry and met Jeannie and her daughter for the past two years. They are devoted and serious of all the horses entrusted there with them and their training and were very personable to me. I am unable to vacation this year but I do not believe I would be able to see Coz if I would have been able to visit.
It is a disappointment and yet, I understand because the Mosses do not really know me and I also prefer to know that Coz is protected at Mayberry because I love Coz; afterall, he is the son of the greatest race mare whom I love and cherish.
Hi to all Zsters and thank you team Z!!
hugs, Sally B
Zenyatta, goodnight and sweet dreams
lovenkisses on your soft nose, kisses to Coz and 13z

Here lies the reasons that we love Zenyatta so darn much.
Reading Ann’s comments brought tears to my eyes…once again…as she talked about
how Zenny knew she was looking at her son in the iPhone. I JUST LOVE THIS!!!

I also teared up. I understand completely.
The Giving Nature of the Moss’s, Team Zenyatta is unbelievable.

Looking at these photos of Coz …I would know those ears anywhere! He is so much like his mom.
Ann, thank you for your personal message. I have no doubt our Zenny knew this colt was her son. After all, like Mike S. often said, she is a gift from God.

Thank you! Dear lady, you and your husband are one in a million!
Zenny and her boys are also one in a million!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful touching story. You are wonderful and I know Zenyatta is so thankful for having you in her life.
I live in Anchorage, Alaska, but my love for Zenyatta took me to Arkansas to see her winning her race #16. My daughter bought me the plane ticket. I will never forget that day and will be eternally thankful to my daughter for such a gift. I also flew all the way to to LA to see her statue unveiled.
I cant wait to see Cozmic running. I’m sure he is going to be one of the greatest. I hope to get to see him some day in the future.
Love from Alaska,
Louis Carpio.

Ann,
I can not tell you in words what your note meant to me. I have been waiting and waiting for news, pics/videos of Coz. Praying that something would come out soon.
You touched me with your words so much, that I had to stop reading because the tears were falling. A simple woman I am, new to racing, never knew anything about racing. I was watching TV one day and just happened to see a commentary on Zenyatta. That was it, I saw her picture, her videos and just fell in love with her. I know I am one of millions, our love for her is complete, My dream is for one day to actually meet Zenyatta. Meeting Zenny is on the top of my bucket list. What a wonderful day that will be.
I didn’t know how much owners could really love their “race” horses. You and Jerry, share a part of your lives with millions of us and I learn something with each and every picture, post, blog, comment. You, Jerry, John, Dotty, Team Zenyatta have got to be the most giving loving people on this earth. The time you take, the care you show us is unbelievable to me. A scene from the movie Secretariat, comes to mind, when I think of the love you have for Zenyatta – It is the clip where Penny Chenery and Lucien Laurin are at the Belmont Ball the night before the race talking and he tells her he didn’t think a horse cares who its owner is….. he is not just a race horse he is Secretariat. Zenyatta is not just a racehorse, she is part of your family and a part that you allow us all to be part of.
Ann, Thank you so much from my heart for giving so much to me, to everyone, this part of your heart and soul.
Coz looks WONDERFUL! I join everyone patiently waiting to see him on the track. He has a worldwide family in all of us.
Thank you, Thank Jerry, Thank Team Zenyatta for everything you share with us.
God Bless You All.

Dear Ann,
There is NO doubt in my mind that Zenny knew that was her big boy. She has and continues to have a way about her that transcends mortal understanding. I remember her giving me the message from my horse, which of course, brought me to tears. She must be so very proud of Cozmic One, as evidenced by her dance. Thank you for sharing that magical moment with us!

Casey, we remember well the words you wrote about the tender horsey hug our Zenny gave you. What a special moment the two of your shared at a time when you needed it most.

What a glorious update on Coz and special note from lovely Ann. Thanks, thanks, and ever thanks!!!! Ann, I can tell Zenny loves you so much. From what I’ve seen on here, she has a different demeanor when you’re around–like a “lifted spirit”, so I know she’ll love the extra conversation from you. We Zsters love your words here too!!!!
I love little 13Zenariat, but I’ve said before that I can’t help Coz being my favorite (since his birth) and these pics are proof of why–he looks just like Queen Mommy. It’s almost a feeling of getting to relive Zenny’s career. I can’t wait, I just can’t wait.
I’ve done nothing but think of Zenyatta since watching the B**Clydesdale/puppy commercial over and over around 100 times. Whenever I see beautiful horses, I go into “grief-mode” over missing the Queen and come here and look and look. So these updates are everything to me. Apreciation to TeamZ–all of you. Be blessed.
Coffee is extra good from my beautiful Z mug and am enjoying it.
Laura
Dear Ann,
Thanks so much for your recent post about the incomparable Zenyatta. It’s wonderful to read about her response to the Coz video. Her intelligence is astounding and I doubt her reactions were just happenstance.
I really appreciate your husband and your — and of course Lands End’s — efforts to keep Zen’s fans connected with her and her growing family!
Kindest regards,
Laura Peterson

OMG…. that is fantastic….. of course she knows….. ! You are giving the world another dimension to the intellect and awareness of these wonderful animals…… that is so awesome!! Thank you……
Anne
What nice bone this boy has. He seems so compact and well porportioned. Thanks to Ann Moss for sharing Coz’s experiences at Mayberry’s Farm. We have all been lucky to have owners that still appreciate Zenyatta’s loyal fans. He certianly is a handsome boy.
How could he not be with a mom such as Zenyatta. I wonder if he still makes a lot of noise, as he did as a young foal. I remember videos of him squealing and letting everyone know he was there. Can you imagine him doing that on the racetrack. What a hoot that would be. ha…
Francine Iuliucci
Thank you all sooo much for sharing in the lives of these outstanding gifts from a loving God!! Coz is just so handsome. He has his mothers face!! I know he has her personality, also. I hope he learned her track “dance”!!! Thank you again Ann for sharing with us.

What a wonderful surprise this morning! Thanks so much to Ann and the Mayberrys. Coz looks so sturdy and strong as well as gentle of eye like mom. So glad he has a kitty friend to watch over him.
Blessing to Ann and Jerry for continuing to share their gift from God, Zenyatta, and her boys with us.
On another note. Here in Indy we are gearing up for another winter storm tonight and tomorrow. Don’t think it is ever going to stop snowing as more is forecast for Saturday.

Ann,
She is of course, special in every way, and it is wonderful to see the special relationship you have with her. March 8th, Coz’s birthday, will be here any day. It is so hard for me to believe he is now an adult!
Thank you for sharing. It makes our hearts sing!

Dear Ann –
Thank you so much for sharing that wonderful story with us. It ranks right up there with my favorite photo of you and the Queen. The one where it is just the two of you in the barn. It’s kind of misty and Z has her head laying on your torso. It was an incredibly loving moment, and proof that she is every bit as intelligent and loving as we think she is. You, too, by the way.
