Happy Monday!
We’re happy to share a few new photos of Coz in training. The folks at Mayberry Farm call him handsome, personable, and lovely to be around! He’s pictured here with his rider Ronaldo, who has been at Mayberry Farm since Zenyatta’s training. His kitty friend, Daisy, is shown perched at her regular spot above Coz’s stall.
When we recently asked for feedback and suggestions concerning the Zenyatta Shop, we received such a wonderful response. Thank you! It’s going to be a fun year with new product releases down the line.
Last but not least, at the bottom of this post you’ll find a special note from Ann Moss. She wanted to share a very sweet moment with all of you. Enjoy!
The last time I had seen Coz he was running around in his own paddock showing off for us and his buddies in the paddocks next to him. A very happy young man. This is the first time I had seen him since he started on his new life with Jeannie Mayberry, getting ready for what he was born to do… race. His racing career had begun. Jeannie had given him the same as his Mother: the last stall where he has perfect view of the whole barn and even the training track. Made me weep with joy (which I’ve been known to do smile) to see him standing there as he let me kiss his sweet nose, this big boy already grand and majestic receiving his saddle and his rider and proudly doing his lessons.
Later in the day standing in a gentle mist visiting with Zenny, I suddenly felt inclined to show her the video I had just taken earlier of her boy and knew how proud she would be of him, of how well he was doing with all his lessons and how Jeannie had said he was so smart and kind and how wonderfully he moves… She suddenly started her dance and tossing her head and turning her head to look at my iPhone! She totally knew she was watching her son Cozmic One and she was very proud. She especially liked the video of him getting his bath and she literally licked my phone! Reminding me yet again how I have to pick up my conversation with her. That she totally gets and understands All. Of course she and I have had many chats on the phone over the years and he’s always been around nosing in on our conversations, so it totally makes sense but still stunned me as well. So I wanted to share these constantly amazing Beings with YouS :) and say again Thanks! for all the Good Thoughts Well Being and Love YouS send to Them =)

I always look for updates on Zenny and the boys. It makes my day. I always knew that Zenny was special and she continues to prove it daily. There are plenty of smart horses out there but I think she has them all beat by a long shot.

So happy to know Zenny is doing so sell, and that her boy is a chip off the old girl! I hope he continues to make her proud but mostly I wish him a long, healthy life with owners who give him the best care and all the respect he deserves, and who never risk his welfare. These creatures are so magnificent and give so much pleasure, they all deserve the best of care, always.

These updates always make me smile. He is just gorgeous. Reminds me of his beautiful Momma. I am so thrilled to see her living the sweet life, having babies and enjoying herself and now to see her babies growing and thriving. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Wow! What a wonderful way to start an otherwise dreary week! Coz is so beautiful, and it gladdens our hearts to know that he is also so kind! But he would naturally be, given his parents!
Thank you, Ann Moss, for updating us in this way. Maybe Zenny is trying to tell you she needs her own cell phone. That way you could ring each other up anytime. Too cute.
Anyone who says horses are just dumb animals is..well, dumb. They may not speak English, but they speak in many ways.
DmamaKlock
They certainly do speak to us and they also know who loves then, and they love us back

OH MY What wonderful pictures…he is truly his mothers son…so glad he is performing well.
Ann: thank you for such a beautiful note…I sit here w/ tears in my eyes…certainly can feel your love for your babies…Z, Coz, 13 and 14 to be. I would expect nothing but a “dance” from Zenny when it comes to her babies…she is SMART and knows ALL.
Thank you for sharing such special feelings. You and Jerry are always in my prayers. God Bless you ALL!

Thank you Ann for sharing such a joyous event in little Coz new adventures. It sure has put a smile on my face today to see this posting. We have so much snow up here and bad weather daily that to see him with the green grass is wonderful. Here’s to many happy more future posts on how his new life is advancing. Cheers :)

As always love the updates on Zenny and her handsome boys. Coz is looking
fabulous. A big thank-you to Ann Moss for sharing that moment she had with Zenny.
I know Mama Z is very happy to hear about her boy and proud as well.

it is a testament to a breeding program when the mare not only excels on the track but as a brood mare. Zen’s sons are gorgeous. Just saw a video of Eblouissante and she reminds me a lot of her big sister Zenyatta.

It looks like training agrees with him. He looks happy, calm, and relaxed. Whether he’s a star on the racetrack or not, it doesn’t matter. We love him! Thanks for much for the update!
Susan Jelmini-Haynes
So very handsome and alert. I can hardly wait for him to start racing.
Bridget
So wonderful when humans “get” that horses love to look at their loved ones on iPhones! They LOVE it! I show my beloved quarter horse BIG pictures of Zenyatta, and he goes for her nose to kiss her every time. He LOVES her!
She must be so proud of her Little one. When I showed the horses at my barn a video of Coz when he was a baby.. they all turned to see my computer with delight!!!!

Thank you Mrs. Moss for your very personal post. Loved the picture of COZ and of you and Mama Z. Made my day.
Janie (in L.A.)
Thank you Ann for that sweet update about Coz and his precious mom, Zenyatta. The image of her dancing and kissing the phone made me want to cry – what a sweetie she is! And of course she understands you when you talk to her because she loves you so much – you’re HER mom.
I’m glad Coz has a cute kitty pal and I love the picture showing how he inherited his mom’s ears… I can’t believe he’s going to officially be 2 next month or that Zenyatta is going to have her third baby beauty soon – time is certainly flying!
Ron
I love seeing the progress Coz is making in the next part of his life, racing. It almost makes me emotional seeing my favorite mare have these amazing boys and see them start the next chapter of their lives. Thank you for the updates!!!! Ron

Dear Ann:
What a joy your post is. We always said that Zenny is magical, so I am not surprised in the least that she followed your conversation about Coz and the video of him.
It was really something when the day came for Coz to leave Lanes End to begin his career as a race horse. How very exciting that day was!! I am so happy to hear that he is doing well, smart and mild mannered like his Mom. I know he will also make his Mom proud.
Thanks again for the photos and for the update. I’ll say one more thing, there will not be a racetrack large enough to accommodate all of us that will be there for his first race and probably every race after that too.
With so much love,
– Linda

Hi Linda
Amen to your comment about no “race track large enough” to accommodate the fans. I have a feeling it will be the East Coast…. lucky YOU!!!

Living only 10 minutes from Churchill Downs & with the Triple Crown nominees having been released this weekend I was thinking maybe next year Coz will get to make the trip to the Derby. It would be fitting that he wins at the track Zenny lost her only race. Regardless of how I would love that to happen I know you will make the best choices for Coz. Thanks for sharing these 3 wonderful horses with all of us.

Awwww, Coz is such a big boy. So handsome! I’m over the moon happy about the Mayberry’s response to him and how they regard him.
Ann, thank you for sharing that Moment with us. Very special indeed and of course, Zen knows all. I got a chuckle out of her licking the phone. Too cute!

He is such a handsome young man! Maybe it is wishful thinking but he also has the look of his maternal grandmother, For the Flag. Glad to see him so happy.

I hope Zenny has a filly this time. Does Z13 have a name yet?

Ann, you not only get it with Zenny but with all of us Zenny lovers as well. You know just how we love to hear such touching things about those special babies of yours that we love.
I still think it was Coz making one last call to his precious mom when the trailer was pulling out for Florida. Glad Zenny got to see him on your phone.
Thanks again and again.
