Thanks, Blue. I really enjoyed reading about Danny’s new life. Morton Fink made the right decision. I am also interested to learn that Dan befriends heifers, something Ribot would not do.
Thank you. Sweet article. Charlie and Amy are wonderful horse folks.
Would love a photo of Dan with the heifers.
Precious how Dan talked to Charlie…it’s alright! Oh my heart!

What a heart warming article. Wish all of them were loved and treated the way Danny is. Glad he has some pasture mates even if they are bovines! Long and healthy life to Dan and all his human family.
Dear BGG,
So heartwarming to have read the update on Wise Dan. Great to see such kind and caring people like the Lo Presti’s making WD’s home so wonderful for him. Dear BGG,
Thank you for posting this! So glad that Wise Dan is sound and loving life. Nice, too, that he has companionable pasture mates, the bovine ladies. Danny is a stunner, and quite a nice personality, too. I liked reading about his “human side”. WD is obviously intelligent and not just another pretty face; although, his face and the rest of him is gorgeous.

Thanks for the heads up. Will watch this guy. I think he has a bit of the look of his broodmare sire, Big D. Could not tell if he was a big horse or if he has those Roberto ears.
Very interesting. I remember his mother when she ran in England. She was impressive. He doesn’t look as big as Big D or Zenyatta, but he’s definitely got her moves. Beautiful stride at the end. I’d say that he’s also got the family ears.
I read today where the Taylor Made folks said that she will probably just stay there to wait for her foal. For people close enough to get there, this means that in Spring 2017, you would probably get to see both Love the Chase AND her Tapit foal. Taylor Made is one of the few places that allows folks to visit the mares and foals :-)

We often come face to face with questions of fairness. What is right-right without question? Whom can we trust to be our champion when life seems to be a game based on personality?
German poet Goethe told us that one man’s word is no man’s word-therefore we always need to hear both sides. Who is fair enough to hear one side and want to hear the other? Who will speak for justice when we are unsure of ourselves? When there is no freedom to be truthful, there can be no justice. Only fairness and cooperation can bring about an understanding and a desire to make things right.
May the smoke rise like a cloud and carry away with it all the animosities that have risen between us.
-Black Thunder, Fox
Sweet girl, hope your baby is growing and you are feeling good. Sure looks like it in the pictures and video here. Could you perhaps arrange to have that little filly or colt in January or February or even March? They maybe will mature a little earlier and have more of a chance come their 3 year old season. Just a thought. Know he/she will come when it gets good and ready! Mind of their own just like you.
Dear Kathy.Personality is everything these days on celeb planet and politics too which I consider dangerous.Poor Mr Al sounds very sick he had several masses removed. It doesn’t seem good for a man of his age but he is tough and we must pray he can recover.I read the last epsode we only have the present moment yesterday is history now and the future has yet to come.If only we all learned to live in the present and not look so far ahead.Ray and Jack were enjoying their bones on the sofa.I have some friends who will not allow their dogs or cats on the furniture!I shouldn’t really call them friends!
Looks to be a good Clarence House on the 23rd Un de Sceaux is entered against Sprinter and Sire and Willie Mullins is thinking of having a crack at the British Trainers championship.I was watching a video of Kauto Star made when he died.I just CANNOT accept yet that this great horse is no longer with us.Mr Fibbs was enjoying his doughnut and Judy is very busy according to Mango.Still no news from Fubu very strange.I hope all is well there.Hope you had some rain it’s actually dry here so far but still floods up north.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
auto Star made when he died.I just CANNOT accept that great horse is no longer with us.
I’m so worried about Mr. Al. I join you in praying he survives. And poor little Zoe, I hope she’ll be allowed to visit him soon. I know she would be good medicine for mr. Al. We all need to live in the present. So many are stuck in the past, only remembering what once was…And then a lot of people think what they’ll do “one day.” The present is all we have. What a shame so many of us don’t know how to live in it! Ray and Jack O are so cute in all their videos. LOVE their peanut butter! My dogs can go anywhere they please. They are family members too! Get geared up to enjoy the great racing events coming up. So sad that Kauto Star is gone. I know you loved him so. I haven’t visited the ratties yet. Mango looks kind of lost in all the parcels they’ve received. Something very strange going on with Fubu. Maybe Kimberly’s arthritis is particularly bad…Yes! we got substantial rain. Also another earthquake this morning! 4.5 centered in Banning. We’ll get more rain later in the day, possibly some thunder, too. Happy Wednesday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Bullet Train’s yearlings are doing well in Australia. His foals are described as strong with great presence.Who knows the 3/4’s brother of Frankel who did all the donkey work for his famous sibling may turn out to be the better sire

You are so welcome. No doubt, AP is Horse of the Year. As you say will be exciting to see how the rest fare. Beholder gets my vote for older female. Love and Hugs, JB
Don’t be so hard on yourself. Self-condemnation is as bad as being indolent and lazy because it is so extreme and unrelenting. Though restraint doesn’t always sit well with us, at least it is more gentle and does not tear down the spirit. Recognize who you are-your own best friend. You are not simply an acquaintance. You are not someone you want to insult or hurt, and you certainly are not someone you want to compete with. Instead, you are a person with special qualities and special gifts, which need to be cultivated.
Go back in time and recall where you got in trouble with yourself. Did someone put you down? Whose opinion do you respect-the words of some outsider who has no tact, or the judgment of your own best friend? As time goes on, you will come to know who your true friends are. And you are the best friend of all.
In our sweetness and repose, we can’t help but wonder at the anxieties you give yourself.

Dear Judy B; Thank you. I was especially interested in Desert Tune. He has quite a few; wonder how they can treat each one as number one; yet it seems they do.

Dear Sheena,
I’m so worried about Mr. Kathy XOXO

Kingman’s first foal has arrived at John Deer’s stud in Chepstow. He bought the Exceed and Excel mare recently.Exceptionelle foaled two weeks early last Saturday but the little filly is growing by the day.
Bullet Train’s yearlings are doing well in Australia. His foals are described as strong with great presence.Who knows the 3/4’s brother of Frankel who did all the donkey work for his famous sibling may turn out to be the better sire

Dear Judy B.,
Thank you for posting the List of Eclipse Awards Finalists. I wonder how they will all shake out — American Pharoah should come out on top in his categories, but it will also be interesting to see what happens in the other groups.
