My bad boy Charlie is at it again. He’s in “solitary confinement” alone in a small paddock because he’s been rearranging the other horses tails AGAIN. The boarders are up in arms about the damage he’s doing, so better that than the muzzle Angela had on him earlier this month. There’s little to graze now and after he munches the hay Angela puts down for the horses in the paddock, he gets bored and gets into mischief.
When I got to the farm today, he whinnied loudly at me. I imagined he was saying get me out of here and back with my buddies. I gave him some treats and he was content for a while. Angela said she will put him back in a paddock with Bentley next week and see how it goes. Love and Hugs, JB

I’ve been wondering about Max, too. Hope we get a post soon.
It’s wonderful to see how well loved she is by everyone that is around her, of course she brings it out in people; who could resist such a precious loving soul like her? When I see her interaction with people, it’s almost like a spiritual occasion. Like Ann said, she is a gift from heaven; and of course there was always those white feathers! If these pictures can bring such emotion, I can’t imagine the feelings that flow, when you get to see her in person; it must just be over whelming! WE LOVE YOU SO ZENYATTA!

December 24 Cherokee Devotional
To accomplish anything, we have to have clearly defined goals and know how to break them down into easily handled segments. But first, goals have to be realistic. We are not going to lose twenty twenty pounds in one day. We can’t plant a garden and get it to bloom in one week. Second, goals are accomplished step by step, little by little. Even though most of us have much to do and too little time in which to do it, even five minutes a day can help us move toward accomplishing our goal. Too often we think we must have big blocks of time to accomplish anything, and as a result we don’t do anything. So take five minutes today and see what you can do. And finally, the steps we take toward a goal come in an orderly sequence. One thing comes after another-and before you know it, you will have accomplished your goal!

Yep, home this year. Steve started a new job in May so won’t have vacation time accrued until May 2017. We weren’t off enough days to be able to travel north. So we’re having a peaceful, quiet Christmas, just the two of us and the pups. Will see my aunt tomorrow. Hurray for Milo! Zoe looks much better, thank God. I’ll check out that YouTube of Valegro. Upsetting news about Zara. Prayers for Carrie. Yes, Zenyatta looks wonderful. They certainly take excellent care of her at Lane’s End! I wish you a wonderful Christmas, as well. The death has been announced of Rick Parfitt of Status Quo.He was 68 and had been admitted to hospital on Thursday with a severe infection.His health issues these past years have been well documented.Medics had warned him his rock and roll lifestyle would eventually kill him.He gave up touring with the band this year after another heart attack.He joins a long list of celebrated musicians who have died this year.Much sympathy to his wife and family at this sad time.Now “Rocking all over the world”RIP The brave may not live forever but the cautious do not live at all.
Found an interesting article on some of Japan’s quirky racehorses. They have Sunday Silence in their pedigree, which may explain some of their attitude.
