Thank you for the wonderful and happy pictures of Zenyatta and Vixana. It has brightened my day.
My brother passed away early December so I needed something to cheer me up. I haven’t opened my emails due to a hectic schedule. A Zenyatta friend suggested I check out her website to cheer me up. And it has. Always works when I see her pictures.
So good to see her healthy and enjoying herself. She always loved being surrounded by people.
Praying for you and your baby’s health Zenny. Love and Hugs! Marilu
Dear Marilu,
So very sorry for the loss of your brother. Keeping you in my prayers, with love, Elizabeth PS Zenny’s website helped me so much when we lost my younger brother.
Thank you for another happy ending! Kennedy is a stunningly handsome guy. So glad that Ms. Fedorka was able to get him to safety and to a new career. Great story!
Dear Judy,
We all need 2nd chances and 3rd and 4th. Loved reading about Kennedy and his new career. So grateful for kind and loving people who help make other’s lives better.
We just watched the movie about ”Dream Alliance”. It is a wonderful movie about an amazing horse and his ‘humans’ and ‘second chances’. A true story. Hope you and everyone here on Zenny’s website get a chance to see it, if you haven’t already. Hope you have a wonderful evening. with love, Elizabeth
Dear Judy;So lovely to hear these stories of OTTB’s leading happy lives after retiring. Our Monet’s Garden has won the RoR horse of the year.He was a very popular grey and is nearly 19 now.Prayers for Debbie and Carrie.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Do you remember a colt named Tiznoble by Tiznow out of Tapit mare, Tamboz. He was out of racing for one year after he won an Allowance Race in December 2015 when he was two years old. I’m assuming he suffered an injury of some kind. I tried for the longest time to find out what happened to him, but had no luck at all. Then he showed up in the entries and I’m hoping he stays sound and well.
He returned to racing on December 15, 2016 as a three year old and won a $21,000 Claiming Race at Fair Grounds. He’s entered in the Woodchopper Stakes at Fair Grounds on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Godspeed beautiful Gray boy.
In response to Elizabeth from NM, thank-you! The picture of Zenyatta rolling in the dirt and Vixana is one of my favorites too. I also think the one of Vixana with the lips held up to her face is really cute.
What age are you? We can measure our age in years or in attitude. Some people with the most years are the youngest in attitude; some who are young in years are very old. But if we have an “old” attitude, can we change? You bet. Looking for help? Do it yourself. Take the bull by the horns and be your own best friend. Press in closer to that Almighty Spirit who gives life. Remember-age is just a word unless you lose interest in living.
Nobody knows when we die, maybe tomorrow or ten years.

The great and the good of the racing world gathered in Newmarket yesterday to bid farewell to Walter Swinburn .His photo was placed on his modest coffin. One of the most naturally gifted horsemen he missed the buzz of riding but his family meant the world to him as they helped him over come his demons. The choir sang for the choirboy one final time.
Now though he will not ride with us again,
His merry spirit seems our comrade yet
Freed from the power of weariness and pain,
Forbidding us to mourn and or to forget.
Reunited now with his beloved Shergar running free forever.RIP.
As you know JS used to give Z her Guinness regularly when she was racing. Thought you all would get a chuckle out of this article about other racers and their knocking back a brewski. Yes, our Queen is included in the article; along with ZI’s daddy, Tapit. Love and Hugs, JB
Ha-Ha! Thanks so much for the chuckles! Love this article. Makes sense to me that our equines would like a brewski — it is a grain product, isn’t it?
Thank you for posting this article, dear friend. Have you any snow in Rhode Island?
Oops!
I goofed — hops isn’t grain, but it is a plant, and horses are herbivores. I imagine a fermented product enhances their feed, too. Three cheers for Guinness.
Cheers and Hugs

It’s me again! Alcoholic beverages must have pickled my brain a bit. I must cancel my correction above — barley IS a grain obviously. Barley is an ingredient in Guinness and other brews. I miss my mind sometimes!

December 31
In life we experience brokenness, woundedness, and weakness. But take heart, life also offers healing. By living fully in the Spirit, we become stronger, more resilient, and more open to the healing that the Spirit continually offers.
As this year comes to an end and another year begins, remember to be as gentle with yourself and others as you would with the most fragile flower. Be honest but with kindness. Determine what causes pain and seek healing. Erase dark thoughts, and stand free and whole again. That is the gift the Spirit offers each new day, each new year. Claim it with anticipation, hope, and joy that you may live life in all abundance.

If, like a Cherokee warrior, I can look at the new year as an opportunity to stand on new ground, then strength and courage are on my side. If I have waited a long time for everything to be perfect-and there have been moments, brief as they were, that filled my expectations-then I can face the challenges. I will remember that things do work out, bodies do heal, relationships mend-not because I said it, but because I believe it. But it is time to make things right, to stay on the path. As water runs fresh and free from the woodland spring, so new life and meaning will bubble up from my own inner source. I will be still and steady, because there is nothing to be gained by showing fear in a chaotic world. I can turn from ignorance and prejudice toward a light that never goes out.
The death of fear is in doing what you fear to do.

This morning, snow wrapped every tree and rock in soft white, and promised to keep the outline of distant hills hidden against a gray sky. But it could not keep its promise. After a few hours the sun came out and turned it all into nature’s jewelry, beautiful dew gems sparkling on the grass. We can be so busy that we miss the little things that sweeten life, the way a pet waits to be noticed, the way an owl, a wahuhi, hoots in the woods, and a bluejay chortles in the middle of winter. It is a lovely thing to turn away from busy work to pay attention to our loved things and loved ones. We know how we wait to be told we are important. We should never wait to say or think something beautiful that will make someone’s day easier and more secure.
We do not want riches. We want peace and love.
