Happy Friday!
We’re pleased to share photos of fans Jackie Camacho and Allison Folkman visiting Zenyatta at Lane’s End Farm. As the winners of NYRA’s Meet the Legendary Ladies sweepstakes, Jackie and Allison received a trip to Kentucky to meet both Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta and a two-night stay at Stonestreet Farm.
Jackie became a fan of Zenyatta and watched many of her races with her sister who has since passed. She takes the little pig figurine pictured here on all of her adventures as a way to honor her sister.
The next opportunity to win an audience with Queen Z is just around the corner… Stay tuned for details about the upcoming 2016 Zenyatta.com Celebration.
Enjoy!

John Burroughs said that we can fail many times, but we don’t really fail until we blame someone else for what we’ve done or haven’t done. Once we fail we tend to think we can do nothing right. We condition ourselves to fail when we relive what happened in detail over and over again. The only real losers are the ones who call themselves losers and deny there is any help. We change by saying we are changed and then acting on what we’ve said. Speak the true word to yourself and stop looking for sympathy. Don’t be buddies with those who believe nothing is good. Shake off excuses and go free. Being free is worth everything we put into it.
Good words do not last long unless they amount to something.

Dear Kathy.Late today PC playing up I am using my windows 8 now. There is snow somewhere today must be Scotland.Oh,the winter is here.I was listening to bit of PMQ’s today Mother Theresa had a black&white suit on.She performed quite well.Still no news of Fubu I put a message in.Getting worried. Were the cubs playing last night?I don’tthink things were going well for them.
I had to laugh at Loki hiding under the covers on the bed Katie used to do this often brought back a lot of memories.I was watching a programme last night about Oak trees and they visited Salisbury cathedral where the oak in the roof is 800yrs old They certainly built to last in those days.Ray and Jack O were enjoying themselves.Black Caviar certainly has a cute foal.Almanzor and Minding will fight it out for the Cartiar award.Thistlecrack is taking to fences in Chepstow next week.I am sorry he didn’t stick to hurdles. We shall see.Cheryl said Ray has had a better week but difficulty in sleeping. He has an apt this week before chemo next Friday.Excuse any mistakes I may have made!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and SugarSheenaXOXO.I sent you the link of the reception at Buckingham Palace for our Olympians last night.Gosh,William is losing his hair poor George has that to come.Charlotte loves horses unlike her mum.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Wow…snow already in Scotland. We will be in the 90s the next few days! Mother Theresa must’ve looked very chic. I love black and white outfits. I’m worried about Fubu, too. Much too long since we’ve heard anything. The Cubs lost to the Dodgers last night. Sorry for Zoe but I’m happy. Love seeing cats under the covers. I know you were thinking of Katie. An 800 year old oak…INCREDIBLE! Lots of cute pics of Ray and Jack O They sure have a lot of fun together! Yes, have seen pics of Black Caviar’s foal. So, so adorable! All my best to Almanzor, Minding, and Thistlecrack. That’s too bad that Ray is having trouble sleeping. It’s so upsetting that he’s having to go through this. Thank you so much for sending me the link of the reception. Too bad William is going bald. At least the little Prince has lots of hair now…The Royals are such horse people. Must be awkward for Kate! Happy Hump Day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXOXOXO

Annie is due back next month with the champion hurdle on her agenda and Sam TD hopes to return mid November.

The hills of autumn have a smoky look, a blue haze that hangs suspended along the horizon. On a sunny day, the sumac and woodbine vie for the brightest shades of burgundy and red. When the clouds move in the colors are muted and blended like an artist’s oils, and no less beautiful. Sound, when there is any, vibrates on the ear like faraway music. The only continuous noises are the twigs and crisp leaves that crunch beneath the feet. And then comes the surprise of a wild gobbler calling the hen turkeys to follow. The sun is warm, the air cool, the fragrance of wood smoke wafts through the woods.
Nothing compares to autumn in the quiet woods. All other seasons have their pleasant qualities, but peace is a special quality of autumn. It is time for praise and thanksgiving-a time for saying blessings over this land and its rich harvest.
While we sat watching the herd, father said, “These horses are godlike, or mystery beings.”

Dear Kathy. It’s 34yrs today since my favourite aunt died and we used to love walking in the woods(always trying to catch a falling leaf) the weather was beautiful that week unlike today. It was really cold out this morning. There will be a minute’s silence across Wales tomorrow in memory of all who died in the Aberfan disaster. The coal tips have gone now and the hillsides are green. There are otters and Kingfishers back in the River Taff.Life goes on.
I couldn’t stay up last night for the debate but could see the beautiful blue sky.I heard they both performed better.Poor Mr Fibbs has a criminal past according to the papers and he is still trying to explain about the photo in the baff.We all know Fibbs is squeaky clean unlike others I could mention!
The Russians are heading for our coast I hope they don’t plan to invade,It’s ridiculous that there are young men posing as children to enter the UK.Some say it’s because of their suffering since does war affect your height and now the pathetic PC brigade say our magistrates are too old and too white!!!!I shall not express an opinion here.
Mother Theresa is in Brussels today(we are still in the EU)Sam cam is into fashion now and Call me Dave finishes with politics altogether today.Rough Quest had the most marvellous retirement at his old trainer’s yard.He wasn’t responding to treatment for an infection and they didn’t want him to suffer.Mick Fitz used to visit him regularly.
Zoe’s cubs won last night gosh how often do they play? Our footballers would survive!Hope you have a lovely day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

Makybe Diva has a filly foal by Brazen Beau.Born on October 15th she is a real cutie.
Another offspring of the mighty Frankel has won.He is called Cracksman and John Gosden is going to aim at a mile and a 1/4 with him next season.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Oh, I’ll be thinking of you today as you recall your fond memories with your auntie. She sounds lovely. Tomorrow will be a somber day. RIP all the victims of the Aberfan disaster. I for one am glad the elections will be over soon. This has been the nastiest campaign I can recall, and I’ve been around a long time! Poor Fibbs and the smear campaign. Politics is a nasty business! Wow…keep an eye on those Russians! Maybe Mother Theresa will be able to stop into a chocolatier for some Belgian chocolate! Lucky Call Me Dave finishing with politics! I’m glad Rough Quest had a wonderful retirement at his old trainer’s yard. We never want to see them suffering. Yes, the Cubs have won 2 and the Dodgers have won 2. Not sure when they play again. You have a lovely day as well. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Someone said that if our capacity to acquire has outstripped our capacity to enjoy, we are on our way to the scrap heap. If that is true, it seems that many of us are headed for the scrap heap. Why is it we collect so many things-clothes, TVs, cars, toys for the kids and grandkids, and on and on? Are we so empty inside that we have to keep trying to fill ourselves up-but nothing works?
So how do we get things into balance? First, simply stop-stop buying, gathering, amassing. Most of us have plenty of stuff. Second, reflect on what you want and what you truly need. Third, consider sharing what you have with others. Fourth, take some quiet time each day. Go for a walk. Look out the window at your garden. Hold a kitten. Do something you really enjoy doing-and let yourself enjoy it fully. Finally, ask the Spirit to help you to truly enjoy life each moment of the day. Ask and you will receive.
You might as well expect rivers to run backwards as any man born free be contented penned up.

So very sad to hear the news of Moscow Flyer’s death at the age of 22years.He had lived at the INS these past 4 years.A great favourite of mine in the 2 mile chases winning the Champion Chase in 2003 and 2005 also back-to-back Tingle Creeks. You have gained your Heavenly wings now dear one.RIP much sympathy to all your wonderful connections.

Dear Kathy.A beautiful but sad day here in Wales. The Prince of Wales has been visiting Aberfan this morning and then I heard the news of Moscow’s death. He had a wonderful life at the INS and looked so well.No cause of death announced yet.
I had a very late night big mistake to turn on to BBC1 the speeches from the gala dinner.I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.Was I right in thinking those wealthy peeps only raised $6million please forgive if I heard wrong. The ordinary folk from the UK raise millions for our “Children in Need” in November.Who was that lady in the red dress behind them? She must have caught a cold in her chest!!!My God I thought our politicians were brutal and bitchy but yours take the biscuit. Our Mother Theresa is still in Brussels and Mr Tusk has said
not to worry they will look after her!I could see Hollande kissing her on both cheeks.Remind him of the battles we won Theresa!Good to see Wimbley getting better but his legs aren’t 100% yet and he doesn’t like his yucky medisin.Judy has been too well again something with her legs.Maybe the steroids she’s on.She must realise it takes a long while to recover from pneumonia and rest as much as possible.Still no news from Fubu but Felix is slowly heading for 90,000 likes she was showing off her floof yesterday.I hope all goes well with Ray’ sfollow-up appt today.Have a great Friday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Yes, I know this day is bringing back so many sad memories. I feel for you. RIP, Moscow. I didn’t turn on the news last night. Good thing! Yes, it was $6 million. They must’ve spent all their money trying to get their person elected! I don’t know who the woman in the red dress was. It was rather low-cut! That’s good Mother Theresa has people looking out for her. I was so glad to read that Wimbley is so much better. Judy will learn that you don’t bounce back quickly from pheumonia. There are many people who succumbed to it! The news can’t be good from Kimberly and Fubu. Wish we would hear something. Congratulations to Felix! Yes, saying prayers that Ray has a good follow-up appointment. I heard from dear Zoe this morning! She wrote to ask me if today’s Devotional meant she couldn’t have any more new outfits. I told her NEVER…she has an image to maintain. It just meant that Mommy and Daddy have to get rid of more of their stash! Have a great Friday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

On this day in 1966 an avalanche of sludge from spoil tip no7 demolished a farm cottage then travelling at 30-40mph slammed into 18 houses and Pantglas junior school. The time was 9.13am and 144 were killed 116 of them children.Today we held a minute’;s silence for the dead and the Prince of Wales laid a wreath at the cemetary,I have posted the link on my FB.No one has been held accountable for this disaster although we know the fault lays at the door of the NCB.Now the tips have gone and the hills are new and green and dear.Children play again but the Welsh nation will forget those dark days in October 1966.RIP
