Happy Friday!
We’re pleased to share photos of fans Jackie Camacho and Allison Folkman visiting Zenyatta at Lane’s End Farm. As the winners of NYRA’s Meet the Legendary Ladies sweepstakes, Jackie and Allison received a trip to Kentucky to meet both Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta and a two-night stay at Stonestreet Farm.
Jackie became a fan of Zenyatta and watched many of her races with her sister who has since passed. She takes the little pig figurine pictured here on all of her adventures as a way to honor her sister.
The next opportunity to win an audience with Queen Z is just around the corner… Stay tuned for details about the upcoming 2016 Zenyatta.com Celebration.
Enjoy!

Let me be your friend. I must have your permission to be a true friend, just as you must have my permission. But what does that mean? It means that we respect each other’s privacy and honor each other’s trust. Being a friend does not necessarily give permission to ask any and all questions. Curb the desire to know until your friend gives you permission to ask those super-personal questions. Your friendship may need to grow closer and with a deeper sense of trust before your friend will open all aspects of his or her life to you.
What does it take to be a true friend? A true friend knows how to touch without violating, to love without smothering, to care without constant pursuit, to give freely without wanting an immediate return. A true friend also cares enough to defend a friend against unfair comments, to stand alongside a friend during a time of crisis. Friends are not jealous or envious, nor are they judgmental. For a friend, no thanks are needed-just love.
A child is the greatest gift from Wankan Tanka.

Dear Kathy.Such an inspirational devotional devotional for a Monday.True friends are indeed very rare.I have always respected other’s opinions as I hope they do mine.I always wait for my friends to tell me rather than ask.
The ballot papers are out someone in Oregon has already added Fibbs name.It looks as if you have many others to vote for too.Poor boys had a baff and on a Monday too1Fibbs has to be prepared for the big day! Were the cubs playing last night again?Miss Diane and Zoe were so excited they beat the LA dodgers?Am I right?Over here Jose Mourhino’s old team Chelsea thrashed Man U 4-0.Not the “special one”any longer.
Many comments on the scene in Poldark last night but I was disappointed as I told Judy.We loved Demelza’s right hook though one of the most realistic I have seen on TV.Only 2 episodes left Aidan is already filming the 3rd.Do you remember the little foal Breeze from 3 years ago who was given a huge teddy bear to snuggle up to.He still sleeps with his teddy.I posted a pic of him on my FB found it on Hovis’s page.I watched a great video of Kevin Richardson the Lion Whisperer last night.Seeing him sitting by the side of fuly grown male called Bobcat was amazing.Take a look at his page.Still no news of Fubu or Henri and what has happened to Joey’s page?Abby had a great birthday.Limato has been entered for the Breeders cup mile where he will have to take on Tepin.I pray Aidan changes his mind about Found.
Milder here this week and dampish.Did you get any more rain?Manthlet gave a reading in Grosvenor chapel yesterday then had lunch in Notting Hill.Maybe you remember Ca me Dave and George Osborne were called part of the Notting Hill set..Our clocks go back this weekend the long dark teatime of the soul. The China Horse Club have bought a share of Chromie saw a video of him training yesterday looking fabulous.Remember to turtle.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I’m running late. Can’t tarry for very long. Yes! I see the ballot with Fibbs on the list. It’s a happy day! The Cubs won a couple of nights ago. It’s all over for our Dodgers. Maybe next year…Lots of rain here as well as thunder and lightning. I’ll look for the foal with his teddy. I saw that post with the lion. Have to run for now. Have a great day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Hearty Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs on winning the National League Pennant!
On to the World Series now to see how they stack up against the Cleveland Indians.
Good Luck!
Marshall (NC Broad)
I forgot to note that this is the first time the Cubs have taken the Pennant since 1945! Seven decades is a long time, but not as long as 1908 to 2016. They won the World Series title in 1908! I think Cleveland won the World Series in 1948 so both teams have had a long drought.
Cheers!
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Marshall.I know someone who will be very happy with the cubs!!!Hugs Sheena.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Excitement is certainly mounting here in Cleveland as the city gets ready for the first World Series game tonight AND the first Cavs game of the season (also the unveiling of their championship rings!!). Both venues are very close to each other – can’t even IMAGINE what it will be like with all of those people there this very chilly evening!! I’ll be watching from the comfort of my couch :-)

Dear Sandy,
Good Luck to all!

The winner carries with him the quiet knowledge that though he has heard every argument, faced every opponent, felt every criticism, there is no turning back and no accepting defeat. Telling a winner that something is impossible is like waving a red flag-a ga da ti. He insists on going ahead, learning all he can about the challenges he faces and then persisting until there is nothing left to do but win. Every winner knows in his heart that he is not alone. His spirit and his dream merge so that even a loss will only be a delay. What we put into an idea, what we dream it can be, what we believe in and work toward is likely to make it take shape.

Dear Kathy.Lovely devotional.Feels milder today more comfortable.I posted a link to Fuzzy Bear on my timeline he is into property.Shows pics of him on his polo ponies. So great to see Subzero on his Melbourne cup tour he looks wonderful for 28yrs of age.I love how grey horses become whiter as they grow older. It was a joy to see Monet out parading at Aintree this weekend.
Sad to hear Bobby Vee has died.Part of my youth he had alzheimers.Zoe is well prepared for more games with the cubs she was up very early praying! She looks gorgeous in her Halloween dress.Still no signs of Fubu,Henri or anything on Joey’s page.I hope all is well with Theba.Boo is supporting the cubs what a cute photo of him with the cap covering his eyes.
The ratties are holding a unicorm conbenshun Mr Fibbs’big day is drawing ever near.He will make an excellent president.Racegoers will have an extra treat at Chepstow today with Silvi and Ptit Zig having a racecourse gallop for Paul. Our first big jumps weekend with the Charlie Hall coming up.Looks as if Ray and Jack O have been getting lovely weather.Sad about the accident at the theme park on the Gold coast 4 were killed.I think Prince Charles will refuse to give Andrew’s girls “jobs”.I recall Beatrice having about 15 holidays in about 9 months a couple of years ago.Just like her dad “air-miles Andy”The new online shop will be open at the Dyfi this weekend calenders all ready!Have a great day.Love and hugs to you.Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXOXO

Dear Sheena,
I remember Bobby Vee — very good singer. Alzheimers is a most cruel illness.
Rest in Peace, Bobby.

Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Zoe shared the Devotional on her FB page! Will have a look at FuzzyBear. Wow…28 years old…Congratulations, Subzero! Glad Monet had a nice parade. Today is my cousin Laura Lynn’s birthday. She was born in October, I was born the following April. We grew up together, always felt more like sisters. RIP Bobby Vee. Zoe is always a joy. And her clothes are just breathtaking. Very worried about Fubu, Henri and Theba. Boo looked fabulous in that Cubs pic. I hope the ratties’ conbenshun is successful. Hopefully all the bath scandal has died down. Good luck to Silvi and Ptit Zig. Enjoy Charlie Hall this weekend. Ray and JackO need to enjoy the nice weather. Winter will be coming before we know it! We had a lot of rain the last 2 days. Way more than we’ve seen in ages! Hadn’t seen the story about the theme park accident. Will look for it. That will be very contentious between Prince Charles and Andrew. The girls better update their resumes! I hope the Dyfi makes a lot of sales. Happy Tuesday! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXOXOXOXO

Dear Judy:I hope you are recovering from your cold.We don’t get antibiotics for colds anymore and I hate them anyway.I have heard a few get colds after their flu jabs.
I hadn’t visited Prince Fluffy in a while a very sad day for them one of the horses they rescued died of a heart attack and on the day they buried him one of the little dogs Blackie ingested some poison she was too ill to travel the hour’s journey to the vet so they had to euthanise her.Marte sees so much suffering with the horses she has become quite immune to it but she went to pieces when Blackie died.So sad for them.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

After a long dry spell, what could be as satisfying as the rumble of thunder declaring the end of a drought? Rain, like a gauzy gray curtain, sweeps across the valley and raps on the roof, and the desire to stand at the window and watch is overpowering. The rain after a period of drought is a great blessing.
Blessings come in many ways and after many different kinds of “droughts.” For the drought of loneliness, there is the blessing of the preacher who stays to talk; for the drought of sadness, there is the blessing of the friend who makes you laugh; for the drought caused by conflict, there is the blessing of peace that comes with the gentle-spirited; and for the drought of the blues, there is the blessing of those who cheer others. Who do you know who might be experiencing a drought of some kind? What kind of blessing, what kind of rain can you be?
The earth is under the protection of something which at times becomes visible to the eye.

Dear Kathy.Yes,we all suffer from droughts at one time or another although we never go long without rain over here.We have been known to have “hosepipe bans”.
Henri is back!Life has been too monotonous to post and something about a trip to China!Poor Mango was up early for her flight to NYC and she is not a happy bunny!I didn’t Judy had to retire early because of a nasty accident.Mango gave her a purpose in life.I am getting confused with all these games! The cubs lost last night??Football and Rugby are a doddle compared to your sports!Mr Fibbs bisited Clebeland and keeping losing his hat when hitting the high notes!
There was a beautiful video of Subzero and Graham on his FB.I remember Kathy R talking about him once but I wasn’t on FB then.Graham always says he has 2 sons and a daughter and cannot envisage life without him.He would rather go first. He enjoys a beer after his outings.Wonderful to see the bond between them.they were comparing Kauto and Dessie on our FB today.I remember it took awhile for Kauto to become popular but Dessie was adored from the start.I hate comparing great champions but each to his own I suppose.Manthlet is off on her travels again 4 days in Chicago then Miami and then the Caribbean!I don’t know if Fuzzy Bear is travelling with her.Fabulous to see the Golden Eagle chick fledge last night on Autumnwatch. It was through Springwatch I got to know Monty and his first partner Nora.He has taken me on an incredible journey ever since.I hope Judy B is recovering missing her posts.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
That’s great that Henri is back! A trip to China sounds super exotic! I hope Mango can nap on the plane. Those early morning flights are killer! I wasn’t aware of Judy’s accident and forced retirement. She certainly has poured herself into Mango and her mission! The Cubs did lose last night. Poor Zoe and Mommy! Would love to hear Fibbs’ singing the national anthem. Yes, it’s always wonderful to see the bonds between people and their beloved animals. Manthlet surely gets around a lot. Good for her! That must have been wonderful to see that eagle fledge. Yes, your journey with Monty has been wonderful. I wish Judy a quick recovery. We all miss her posts here. Happy Hump Day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Dear Friends I am still here. A friend very kindly brought me to town so I could vote and come to the library. There was a line at the polling place which is unusual for our area. The ladies are very efficient and the line moved quickly. I will be glad when this is all over. The weather here in Deep East Texas is spectacular. I can’t wait for the BC. I will never be able to catch up on all the posts. What a blessing it is for me to see the lovely photos of the most perfect horse in the world. Zenyatta.. Nobody ever looks unhappy in the presence of the Queen. Coz looks gorgeous. Of course, he always has. Whatever lies in his future as long as he is content then I am happy. The same for Ziconic. Before they were born until the end they will be loved. Love and heartfelt prayers to you all.

Dear Vicki,
I am happy to see your post! Hope you are doing okay; we have missed you. So nice that your friend could take you to the polls and the library. I know I will be most happy when November 9th comes — this election campaign has been an endless nightmare.
Our weather here in NC has been gorgeous recently, too. Beautiful “October Blue” skies and mostly fine autumnal temperatures. I can’t believe we are at the end of this lovely month though.
Please take care, and we will look forward to hearing from you again soon.
Hugs and Love
