Visited Charlie today and when I went to the paddock to see Ruby and Diamond, much to my dismay, discovered that Jackie left the farm two days ago and is boarding Ruby and Diamond elsewhere. Angela was not aware that this was going to happen. Apparently, Jackie is boarding Ruby and little Diamond at the stable where her sister boards her horses. Very disappointed, Will miss the little darling very much; was looking forward to seeing her grow.
Charlie is doing great. He was in the paddock with his Buds. He came right over to me and I managed to feed him some carrots, carefully, over the electric fence. Unfortunately, Deb is on Prednisone as a result of a severe Asthma episode earlier this week and was not up to riding him today, so we just watched Hudson and Amanda during their lesson. I did take some nice video of Hudson jumping. Will post when I finish putting it to music. Love and Hugs, JB, LM, PC, HT, Cap, Herc and all the Sweeties

Fantastic! Can see, HT striking a red carpet pose as she walks off the trailer.
Tell the girls to enjoy their day trip.
Happy birthday, Peggy N! I’m a little late to the party, but here is a repeat performance of your poem from a year ago.
A Birthday Poem for Peggy N in Georgia
( May 29, 2013)
’Twas on her adored Misty,
A Shetland, black and white,
That Peggy N first learned to ride.
Those two did click—
For Misty, Peggy was IT!
No one else would she abide,
So no one else could stay astride.
I don’t know if Misty others would kick
Or bite,
But she certainly all other riders would fight,
And she’d buck them all off, lickety-split!
Thereafter came Rebel, a chestnut Welsh,
Ridden almost daily
Throughout those years,
And Peggy had with Rebel no fears,
Riding gaily
Even o’er the freeway overpass,
Till one day it came to pass
That Rebel did rebel
With a vigor that Peggy couldn’t squelch.
As Peggy does the story tell,
When they were out exploring,
Rebel started to run—well,
May I say like hell?—
Straight back to the barn,
Across two roads roaring
At top speed,
Taking no heed
For their safety,
To Peggy’s great alarm.
When they at the barn
Did arrive,
Blessedly both still alive
And having suffered no harm,
Peggy, who’d been scared to death,
First sought to recover her breath,
And then it did employ
To thank the good Lord for their luck
In not getting by a vehicle struck.
In subsequent years
More horses, of course,
Would come:
Flicka, a bay,
And Big Boy,
A handsome
Very light gray,
Like Hansen today,
Each a full-sized horse
Who brought Peggy great joy.
In recent years,
It’s been her cats
Who have brought her cheer,
Most especially,
By golly,
The heaven-sent Holly,
A loving dark calico,
The sweetest kitty
One could ever know
And the darling of Peggy’s heart,
Though one must confess
That at the start,
Holly wasn’t quite
Sure
She’d found
The right address,
And her anxious purr
Came mostly from distress.
She’d arrived as a stray
Late one night
Looking around
In Peggy’s carport,
And in the usual way
Of a stray,
Scampered away
In fright
When approached outright.
Yet all the same,
Back she came
Night after night–
Peggy and she each
The other did court.
Then came the night
When Peggy her did sight
Not very far,
Just beneath her car—
Peggy down did reach,
And by golly
That dear Holly
Decided ’twould be folly
To take flight
For this might
Well be
The very lady
Whom she,
Sent
From heaven above,
Was meant
To love.
Thus did Holly relent
From her fears
And consent
To Peggy’s soft caress.
Thereafter she was ever present,
And the years
Did their love did cement.
Holly saw Peggy through
Her dear dad’s Alzheimer’s and death,
Her mother’s ailments,
And Peggy’s own
Dreaded cancer treatment.
In those years,
Whenever Peggy felt blue,
When she cried
Due
To being full
Of fears,
Or did with pain groan,
Holly was by her side
To cheer her friend in need,
And industriously she’d
At Peggy’s trouser leg
Pull—
’Twas Holly’s way
To beg
Her dear Peg
Not to be sad
And to say
You’re not alone—
I’m glad
With you to stay
Come what may.
Sadly, once Peggy was cancer-free
Following her surgery
(She’s now been three years
Cancer free,)
Holly exited this earthly sphere,
Leaving Peggy in tears.
Nonetheless to Peggy it’s clear
That the Rainbow Bridge is no chimere—
She and Holly will reunite
When she too takes that angel flight.
Till then when she will reach
The heavenly stairs,
Peggy does us beseech
That we keep her in our prayers.
And meanwhile,
Our Peggy N
Again
Does smile.
She tells us exciting tales
Of her adventures at the Ocala Sales
And her visits to see
Pops at Old Friends,
The great A P Indy
At Lane’s End,
And Quiet American at Darley.
Peggy also delights in Z’s community,
Especially
Therein to meet and greet
Her twin
Under the skin,
The lovely Dawn Conrad–
Both are people-persons without a trace of rancor
And firmly anchored
For many years
In their happy careers,
Each as a banker!
Both have fought the cancer canker,
Both of course
Love the horse
And additionally have been so lucky
As to visit horse farms in Kentucky,
Which they again wish to do.
We hope this dream for both will come true–
We wish them longevity and all good things too!
OOPS, please erase that first “by golly” from the poem above. I don’t know how it snuck in there! HugZ to all, especially to our Peggy N, the birthday girl.
I so happily have to add Coz to the horses I have so fortunately met. I have to thank Ann, Jerry, Jeanne, Margarita. What a treat we have in store for us. He is absolutely beautiful.. Looks so much like Bernie and Zenyatta. Lane’s End, The Mayberry Farm everyone has sure done a great job with him. You can sure see the love there in him that Ann, Jerry everone has given him.
I feel so fortunate to have gotten to see him. He’s a Darling.

Hovis has me laughing out loud, again. Too funny; among the many gems, “if found please do not return to sender”, referring to his Mum. Thank you for sharing Hovis here. Love and Hugs, JB
I thought I had all of his “unique names” for horses and riders under control but apparently not. Anyone know who Yogi Bear is? Wonder what’s up with Aunty Becky? So much mystery surrounds our boy :-)
When we have lived a long time with trouble we learn to recognize it a long way off. Sometimes it hides behind the look of serenity, sometimes in laughter-but nearly always in the way a person jokes. It takes some understanding, some go li s di yi , some recognition or reckoning, to sense the pain that is so well hidden. In such cases, it often takes one to know one. We need each other. This unusual ability to see and form a kinship with another person makes us friends and loving partners. We have to be true to ourselves, to keep a part of the innermost heart sacred. A friend knows and respects in us what he, himself, must have as well.
I speak straight and do not wish to deceive or be deceived.

Dear Kathy. We are having 2 whole days of summer over here before the return of the rain!!!I found Tommy and Chip,Chip has a gorgeous girlfriend Baylee a long distance relationship!Poor Fubu has lost 9ozs his vet is worried and the tumours are bleeding,he is such a brave cat I hope Kimberly doesn’t let him suffer too much.it’s a very hard decision I know but you have to have your pet’s best interests at heart. He’s having a Lion King themed birthday party hopefully the stronger drugs will help him.
Great pic of Glesni feeding Monty on the nest!!!Blue 24 is still around but they seem to have set up boundaries now and each knows how far to go.
Marty looked so cute in his bearskin maybe a knighthood someone suggested!Sir Marty has a certain ring to it!Joey gets a wonderful life at the studio doesn’t he?His likes are rising fast these days.Have a wonderful Friday.Hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.
Enjoy the days of summer! Chip’s little girlfriend is gorgeous. And doesn’t Chip look handsome in his little vest? Very worried about poor little Fubu. He has to be in so much pain. I understand not wanting to let your beloved pet go, but when they’re suffering you want that to end. Heartbreaking. Glesni and Monty are such a great couple. Glad to hear of the boundaries. Sir Marty! LOVE it! Joey is indeed a pampered little guy. Quite the personality. Tom always seems so annoyed but you know he LOVES Joey. I think it’s all an act. Darling pic of Ray’s and Jack O’s paws. So endearing! Have a great day and enjoy your weekend! We’ll be leaving Sunday for a little break at Silent Valley. Back home on Friday. I’ll post the Devotionals ahead of time. Hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy

I can’t get enough of these wonderful pics! Z Princess is such a girly girl! I have a feeling she’s going to have a big personality like her mother! :) And how fun to get to see Life Is Sweet’s colt. Wonder if they know what fabulous mothers they both have?
Hugs,
