Dear Sheena,
That’s great that Hovis has cross-country to look forward to. Not sure if I agree his mane should be plaited. Maybe he will avoid that with the missing chunk! TGIF everyone and safe trips to all horses and jockeys running this weekend.
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Hovis seems really happy these days :-)
Sally B. (Auntie cherishes Z and her young)
Dear Sheena, I have not gotten to read Hovis in quite a while. Thank you for the link.
I love you Hovis and wish the best cross country for you. Wish I could meet you some day! love Sally B

Opportunities abound to us every day. There is an opportunity to be sick, the opportunity to argue with someone, the opportunity to be discourteous, the opportunity to believe something that is not true.
Stop thinking you have had no opportunity. You have had every chance to do many things and some of them you have received. You were led astray by thinking you could not help yourself.
We can help ourselves. By the words of our mouths, by what we say, how we think, what we believe, we help or break ourselves. Victory comes because we are consistent in saying we are well, we are strong, we are enormously happy.
They told us not to drink whiskey, yet they made it themselves and traded it to us for furs and robes.

the Queen looks as regal as ever. Glad to hear she’s enjoying herself this fall.
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.I remember my mum and aunties telling me they knew a US serviceman during the war called Joe de Silva and he was part Native American. He had to be kept away from whiskey! There will definitely be an earthquake in Lincolnshire when Hovis goes out.Mum’s in Spain so she needn’t worry.William remains unchanged. There was a very nasty accident in SW France this morning 41 senior citizens killed on a day trip to the vineyards.Poor Jessie(Bear’s mum)is getting trolled now!How sick is that. They also have another horse called Booyah he was in a bad way when found He has asthma and cannot be ridden but adored his brother..
Our clocks go back this weekend and it promises wet and cold. It’s very mild today though.I saw our Nick Luck interviewing BB last night.Nick will be out for the Breeders next week.GH flies out tomorrow.Zoe had a great visit with Miss Barbie yesterday.I have always been a great believer in fate.If mommy hadn’t been late and used the other entrance??Everything happens for a reason.Mango had loads of mail last night and Scooter is donating a cart for the mission.Grampa is better and Judy and Nay are flying up early November.Fibbs was playing his guitar last night.I heard on the BBC world news there are 2 million of Marty’s cousins living in !!!Have a great Friday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
These new pics of Zenyatta are really great, aren’t they? Hovis is giddy with the thought of cross-country. Would love to meet him in person. Prayers continue for William. I saw the accident in France on our news. Very sad. That’s not right what’s going on with Jessie. My heart goes out to poor Booyah. Enjoy your extra hour this weekend. The excitement about Breeder’s Cup is really in high gear. Loved reading about Miss Barbie and sweet Zoe. She is such a little good will ambassador. Lovely tribute to Scooter donating the cart. I know Judy will be happy to get to visit her dad. Fibbs was very entertaining with that cute little guitar. 2 million…that’s a LOT of cousins! Have a great Friday and enjoy the weekend ahead. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Dear Sheena,
Read William Fox in a hole is still in a drug induced coma. Thoughts and prayers to him and his family. Eventing is so dangerous. Safe trip to GH and no rain. Gosden said the turns at Keenland are tight, GH is quite handy but he does not want rain. He had two canter works on the heath at Newmarket before he left, what a lovely boy. Gosden has not studied the competition yet. Not sure anyone is up to his level. So excited about seeing him in the US. Love the Hovis link, what a boy!!! Frankie is riding a few other mounts and Kierran Fallon is riding for Doug O Neil in the Juvenile. Despite not liking Keenland it is the heart of US racing very historic. I think that is why they went back to the dirt track. I have my Grey Goose vodka and am going to make my Zenyatta cocktail
for the weekend.
Love and hugs
Tizgood
Dear Sheena,
Forgot about the Pizza Man- the illiinois bred who won the Arlington Million, will run against GH, will he deliver a big deep dish chicago pizza or GH be able to over take him.
The Pizza Man is such a local favorite, but the GH has the class. It is going to be a great BC turf!!!
Love and hugs

There is a nice eastcoast/westcoast rivalry coming up between Songbird and Rachels Valentina in the Juvenile fillys. TP had RV work in company but the company could not
keep up with RV- should be a great race !!!!

Dear Tizgood.Latest update on William is that he remains “unchanged”.We are all praying for him and Alice.I hope GH will enjoy his trip to the US and he will need dry ground and he will perform well.We have been hearing about the violent Hurricane that is hitting Mexico.Bei-Bei is a real cuddly cutie now and certainly no butterstick now.We have our first races from Cheltenham tomorrow and maybe gold Cup winner Coneygree will take on Many Clouds in the Hennessy late November.HugsSheena.

Dear Zenyatta, such a nice way to start the weekend. I am so happy to see you. Such a beautiful picture of you above.

Dear Judy and Shirlee, Thank You so much for your concern for Night Prowler. I am worried as Javier seemed to pull him up in his last race. If either of you see anything on him please post. I believe Aug was the last time he was on the track to race.
Peggy (N) South Georgia
Dear Blue Grass Girl. If you see any Twitter post ever from Night Prowler’s owner Paul Pompa, Jr. talking about Night Prowler would you please please post here. He’s Big Brown’s former owner. Met Night Prowler in person in Florida as a 2 year old. Have followed him ever since. I am very worried about him. It’s been close to 3 months I believe since he was eased up in his last race. Thank You so much BGG.
Jan S.
She looks wonderful!

Love you Zenny! I’m so glad to see you looking healthy and happy. As I watch the Breeder’s Cup Classic next week I will be thinking of your amazing victory…you blazed a trail for champion mares to beat the boys. Let’s hope BEHOLDER can follow in your footsteps. As much as I love American Pharoah, I will be cheering for Beholder a little bit louder!

Though summer still lingers in the last of vegetables in the garden, cooler air pushes down from the north and with it the subtle changes that color sumac and woodbine with brilliant reds.
Some song birds stay during the winter, but their songs are different. This is the season of tart red apples and woodsmoke twirling through the tops of tall evergreens. It seems only yesterday that spring broke through with her wild colors and thunderstorms. And it will seem only another day until this season has passed and the woods will green once more, Use this tranquil time to rest and walk and to enjoy seeing nature in her bare bones.
The Indian, essentially an outdoor person, has no use for handkerchiefs; he was practically immune to colds, and like the animals, not addicted to spitting.
