Zenyatta.com has been quiet for a few months. We’d like to assure you that Zenyatta and her filly are in good health and explain our recent absence. Ann and Jerry Moss have made the difficult and private decision to divorce. Discussions about the future of this website have been ongoing, and it has been agreed that Ann will be the owner and operator of Zenyatta.com moving forward.
Ann is dedicated to keeping the community informed and connected to Zenyatta and her foals. You can expect bi-monthly blog posts as well as our annual charity event and its beloved grand prize, an invitation to meet Zenyatta. We are also working on an update to the overall design and user experience of the website, which will be launched later this year.
Thank you, to all fans, for your continued support of Zenyatta and for your patience as we move through this time of adjustment. We’ll kick things off with a much anticipated photo update in the coming days.

The honor and its handsome trophy will be presented to Smith by Pincay on Sunday, August 20 between races at Del Mar racetrack following a salute to the rider the night before in downtown Del Mar at Del Mar Plaza that will serve as a fundraiser for the Winners Foundation, which for more than 30 years has aided those in racing adversely affected by substance abuse and/or mental health issues.

!!! *** ALL Queen Zenyatta fans – A must read about the very first days of Zenny.
(If the link doesn’t come through “live” then look it up: Sports Illustrated in their Vault area. It was printed November 1, 2010. The number of the file is 106000003 and the title of the article is “She’s the One”.)
The article includes how all the connections merged to be there FOR Zenyatta. KISMET
(It is my personal wish that those involved with this story reread it and remember their wonderful past. Maybe then they might rethink?)

I had the honor of meeting you and Z at Santa Anita and the Derby restaurant. I cherish my photo with Z, which John Shirreffs arranged when he saw I missed Z’s farewell parade. You were so gracious…Jerry too. I’m from Ky and I’m glad Z lives in such a beautiful place. She is a magical being and you must be too as they say look at the ‘other end of the leash”. All the best to you all! Hope to see you again sometime:)

Dear Dawn,
Very nice post! Love the “other end of the leash” reference. :-)

Thank you, Alys, for your wonderful photo of “our” three gorgeous gals!
We had the pleasure of meeting Ann and Jerry Moss at Zenyatta’s induction into the Racing Hall of Fame last summer. It was obvious to everyone there that Ann’s love and devotion to Zenny is bottomless. We couldn’t wish for a better Keeper of the Flame…
Forever and always, when we think of our beloved Zenyatta we will also think of Ann Moss and Team Z.
Thanks to all of you for recognizing how much we love the Queen…

There was no fairytale end for Usain Bolt tonight in his last ever individual 100 metres. He was beaten by Justin Gatlin but the race of the night for me was the women’s 10,000 metres where Almaz Ayana absolutely destroyed the field and she wasn’t even out of breath!!

Summer night in a stall at Saratoga
Knock, knock
Gun: Yawn. What’s happenIng? Hello.
Biscuits: You sleeping?
Gun: Taking a nap. You may not have noticed but I just won The Whitney. 6 lengths.
Biscuits: I noticed for sure and that’s why I’m here. Congrats my chestnut twin.
Gun: Thanks, Biscuits. I thought that you’d be here sooner for dinner?
Biscuits: I’m a little busy with my ice biscuits line. They are really selling. Big time. Also my horse jewellery line is picking up.
Gun: So that’s how that horse shoe got in to my tail?
Biscuits: I think that it added that “Je ne sais quoi”that we chestnuts all need from time to time.
Gun: You are different. That’s for certain.
Biscuits: Listen and learn. Life is too short to be gray.
Gun: We chestnuts don’t want to be boring?
Biscuits: Neigh x 10!

I was wondering how the people who come to this site think about California Chrome shuttling for stud duty. Myself, I’m against stallions shuttling, and doing double stud duty. To me, it isn’t natural, and too many have died from colic or what happened to Harlan’s Holiday after he finished breeding a mare while shuttling; it’s to much to ask of their bodies, and they have no break. I thought they cared more about California Chrome, and he certainly made them a lot of money, and probably more at stud. I think he is going to make a great sire, but unfortunately the people I thought were going to take care of him, are greedy. They promised his fans would have access to him, how is that going to happen if he is always in the breeding shed, and half of the time out of the country? All I can think about is the horrible condition he was in when he came back from England, I hope he doesn’t get into that condition again. They treat him like he is made of iron, but he is flesh and blood, with a big heart. HE DESERVES BETTER!
judy berube
Dear Roberta:
Totally agree! Love and Hugs, JB
Peggy (N) South Georgia
I totally agree too.
sheena.davies(wales)
You forget he arrived in England or the UK as I prefer to call it from Dubai and the trip exhausted him. Before you blame our English trainers find fault with his owners for sending him here. Some of the world’s most famous gallops were available to him and he was well cared for.We were all sorry not to see him race at Ascot but please respect UK racing as I do yours.I hope he returns safe and well from Chile.

Dear Ann and Jerry,
I am so sorry to hear about your divorce, but I am praying for both of you to be able to find peace and privacy during this time, and that both of you will find happiness after this. Thank you Ann for continuing to run Zenyatta.com and allowing all of us beloved Zenyatta fans to stay in touch with our Queen!!! It gives me something to look forward to especially with all of my serious health issues. I had the honor of meeting Zenyatta back in 2013 when she was in foal with the first Z Princess and was sharing her paddock with Life Is Sweet, another one of my favorite horses, and I will never forget seeing her reaction when she saw the truck I was in getting closer to her paddock and she immediately started making her way over to the fence line because she knew someone was coming to see her. Of course, LIS, wasn’t far behind either. Just absolutely one of the best days of my life. So thank you from the bottom of my ❤️! Prayers and good thoughts for you and Z, Coz, Zi, and ZPrincessTwo…who should be named Z Dorable!!! ????????????????????????????

To the Mosses, may you have peace during this transition in your lives. Prayers that happiness will find you both.
Thank you for the years of sharing of yourselves, Zenyatta and her babies. So many lives have been touched by Zenyatta (I never get tired of watching her races, and how much she loves her extended family) and all of her beautiful babies. This filly truly knows she is royalty.
Thank you Ann for continuing with the blog and keeping us updated with Z’s beautiful filly, and the foal to come! Horses played such an important part of my life when I went through my divorce. They have a way of touching your soul.
Many blessings,
Sue
