Happy Tuesday!
Ann and Jerry went to Kentucky to visit Zenyatta, 13Z and Cozmic One last week. Ann sent us a few clips from their time on the farm.

Many thanks to Mr and Mrs Moss, Team Zenyatta and the professionals at Lanes End for these terrific videos. Am just a teeny bit jealous, because (and I’ve said this before) – this site would never happen in Australia. But I’m so grateful to be able to indulge and get food for the soul from seeing this magical mare and her offspring. So thanks again.

Good to hear from you,Kathy R. How is our darling, MOL?
Pati- College Girl
Welcome back to your extended, and distant family from everywhere!
Any Nellie news??
Kathy R.
Dear Pati, Trina, Ann and Sheena (and any other Nelly/MOL fans):
Heard an interview on Skysportsradio with Nelly’s senior part-owner, Neil Werrett. The discussion initially was about the new acquisition for the Nelly team – a filly called Rowdy Belle, also trained by Peter Moody, who won first up a few weeks back and is due to return in a week or so. But it (naturally) went on to talk about Nelly. She’s doing really, really well – was at Peter Moody’s farm but is now at a “secret location” (?) and on the water walker because Peter (according to Neil) fed her too much and her weight has gone up. The connections are hoping to make their final decision on her first date in around two weeks time – aiming for a mating as close to September 1 as they can. Neil confirmed that she will go to a local, proven sire to begin with. ( In the past Exceed and Excel, Fastnet Rock, More Than Ready, Redoute’s Choice and Snitzel have been mentioned, but Neil would not be drawn on just who the first bloke will be.) He did say that Nelly is much more affectionate that when she was racing – loves being fed carrots (sounds like someone we all love!) and having children petting and being with her. Oh, the other point was that given Nelly is a big girl they don’t want a big stallion, for obvious reasons. So I guess we will have to just wait patiently! MOL is due back into work this week, and will retain Lauren as the jockey. And Hay List is also aiming at a return in the Spring. And one last little bit – Americain is on his way back after his time at Calumet. Hugs, KathyR.

So happy to be getting updates again.
Glad the Lauren is continuing as MOL’s jockey. I was concerned that she might be replaced.
Could Nelly’s team be waiting for Americain to return? Just a thought.
Also, Bullet Train (Frankel’s brother) is headed to Australia. Don’t have the time frame.
Hugs, Keta

Kathy R, Food for the soul so aptly describes this site. Thank you for putting it into words for us.

WOW how Coz has GROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ann was right when I heard her call to him “Hey, Handsome!”. I think he looks SO much like Vertigineux. And how exciting to see a training bit in his mouth!
And what more is there to possibly say about Our Queen? I know we are all prejudice but she just looks like the best Mom/broodmare ever. I mean BOTH of the colts you can readily see already have her demeanor and the actual DESIRE to want to be around humans. That is going to serve them so well in the future.
Ann thank you SO much for sharing your videos with us. You are absolutely THE BEST! I hope you know how much we all love and admire you. And thank you Lane’s End and your staff, photographers, etc. for continuing to share your interactions with Zenny, Coz and Z13 with us!
We are the luckiest fans on earth.

What a treat to come home from work and see these great clips. Thank You so much!!! Best part of the day…and it was a good day <3
Judith Ochs
Thanks so much for the videos. Missing Zenyatta so much – there never was and never will be the unique combination that is the great mare Zenyatta. I like seeing the babies – and we do not know what they will do or what they will be but we do know what Zenyatta is and has done. A very strange and wonderful time when you do not “know” someone but they are so familiar to you due to media. So glad I got to be aware of her and follow her for 2 yr. And so sad for those who do not know or recognize the greatness that can be present in some individuals whether they are animal or human. Horses are simply the most magnificent creatures.
Keta
Such lovely photos

Thanks for continuing to bring a smile to my face by sharing Zenyatta and her little guys! I saw most of her races in person, I met her in the Sherriff’s barn and now to be able to continue to follow her journey and the colts is such an amazing gift from the Mr. & Mrs. Moss and all the connections! God Bless you all and most of all God Bless our amazing Queen Zenyatta!
