Zenyatta has stolen my heart among so many others around the world. She is an incredible athelete – the best I have ever seen in horse racing. I followed Seattle Slew & Secretariat, but by far Zenyatta is the best! I feel she has proven herself without a doubt by her winning record of 19-1 and performances. She has brought so many people back to the sport wanting to see her perform. Blame is a great horse, but the way Zenyata came up from the rear at the very end of the race to almost win is incredible. She has my vote for “Horse of The Year!” She has made horse racing exciting again. She will be talked about for many, many decades to come.
HOTY, it’s a non issue. Zenyatta is and will be remembered as the greatest horse ever! I would like to Thank the Mosses for sharing Zenyatta with all of us and also for being ethical horse breeders. THANK YOU!
I signed the petition last week. Zenyatta should get Horse of the Year for sure. She has done such a great job the last 3 years and deserves this more than any other horse out there. Don’t let Zenyatta get robbed again. Spread the word and tell your friends.
Sports Illustrated just said it– Zenyatta
should be Horse of the Decade. And who says
there can’t be a tie for Horse of the Year??
She transcends love & loyalty! Love you “Z” keep in touch.
In the New York Times today, Zenyatta is featured in an article by Maureen Dowd as one of the “Divas Who Dared”. Zenyatta is compared with Cleopatra as one of two enchantresses who knew how to win.
I first saw Zenyatta on 60 Minutes, and was awestruck with her magnificent beauty, grace, power, intelligence, gentleness… and became an instant fan! I’ve since learned of all her accomplishments, and felt priveleged to watch her run in the Breeders Cup Classic — even if her nose didn’t get across the finish line first, her performance was breathtaking! I signed the petition yesterday, Zenyata HOTY 2010!! Go Girl!
Zenyatta sooooooo deserves the HOY award. She’s brought more excitement and enjoyment to Horse Racing fans these past years than any horse has for decades. She’s a wonderful being and is loved by millions.
Z was Robbed last year of horse of the year, I could only hope that horseman stand behind her this year….she made our lives thrilling in less than thrilling timesin our country.
You should be HOY with now questions asked. Every race has been so remarkable, dirt or synthethic, girls or boys, you have been always raced with your heart. I hope voters will put politics aside and give you your due. If for NO other reason that to honor what you have done for the sport of horse racing!!
“Z”! You already are HOTY to the majority of the racing world. There is no title that can come close to capturing just how amazing you are and how much you have done for the sport we all love so much. You deserve and have earned this honor and award. (I only wish I could vote). ZENYATTA – HORSE OF THE YEAR 2010!
She has brought life back to the sport of racing which has not been here since Secretariat. She is one of the greatest of all time. It was a privilege being able to watch something so great. Horse of the year 2010!
Zenyatta deserves this more now than ever. she has done so much for racing and more than any other horse for the fans. she is simply the best ever and a once in a life time horse!
I signed the petition (I belive we are very close if not there for 5000 signatures).Zenyatta is what Seabiscuit was in the 40’s and Secretariat was in the 70’s…but even more….she is the ONLY female to win the Breeder’s Cup Classic – she has revitilzed racing…people that were never interested in horse-racing watched her….she is a character and a personality, and what appears to be the sweetest, kindest personality ever seen in a racehorse. The day after the BC, when all those people wanted pictures with her, she was apparently so patient and kind for hours on end….unheard of in a racehorse.
She is a rockstar and the Horse of the decade….the very least we can do is give her Horse of the Year.
Who else can break a Churchill Downs attendance record? Who else – stride for stride – whips the gas out of the competition? Who else can finish the last quarter mile of a 1 1/4 mile race in just under 24 seconds? Who deserves HOY? Try Horse of the Decade. Hands down.
I’ve already signed the petition. She should have been HOTY in 2008 but they gave it to Curlin who didn’t win the BC Classic. Well, in 2009 Zenyatta made the history by being the first female horse that won BC Classic, and yet again whatever reason…they gave it to Rachel who did not even show up in BC Classic. She’s done a lot for the horseracing business. She lost only by few inches…I think she could have won if the finish line was a little bit further. Sunday morning, a lot of people went to visit Zenyatta while Blame was spending time all alone in his barn. Of course Zenyatta is not only Horse of The Year but also ‘Horse of the lifetime’….
Hands down best horse in the race, ran the best of any horse in the race, and was easily the best horse in the United States during the 2010 season. If she didn’t get the award last year and WON the Classic, she should not be denied this year because she did not win it. No offense to Blame, but she is and always will be the better racehorse.
Zen girl is the ultimate! Even her second place finish in the BCC served to add impetus to her greatness. Let’s fact it, Blame is a great colt and has a perfect trip in the Classic. Despite all the obstacles she had to overcome in the Classic, her patented closing style takes your breath away. She would have beaten Blame had she not run out of ground. Another greater-than-Secretariat stride of hers would have put her ahead of Blame. Even though she technically lost the Classic, this was the race that defined her greatness more than any other. She has blood, bone, and bottom, style, and majesty all rolled into one big package–Queen Zenyatta!
If she does not recieve HOY, then racing is still just as sexist as it has always been. No other horse, filly or colt, has come close to her record! Not since Ruffian has a filly/mare been so successful and revived horse racing. Not to recieve HOY would be an absolute shame!!
What a heartwarming, wonderful story. She has become the darling of people everywhere and thus is truly America’s Horse! No other Thoroughbred did more for racing in 2010 than this beautiful animal. Long live the Queen…..who is Zenyatta!
Debi

More national attention for Zenyatta!
