    World’s Best Horse Race Ceremony to be Live Streamed

    Longines and the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) will provide a live video stream of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse and Longines World’s Best Horse Race Ceremony, which will be held on 24 January 2017.
    The ceremony is returning to the iconic hotel Claridge’s in London, England, and it will begin at 13:30 GMT/8:30 EST. The live video stream will be available at both longines.com and ifhaonline.org.

    January 18 Cherokee Devotional

    A certain amount of protection from the wind makes it pleasant to walk in the deep woods, even in January-Uno lv ta na. It is quieter and without the activity of other seasons, but the deer come daily to feed on acorns that litter the moss-covered earth. Timing is important, even though the Cherokee has been said to have a time of his own-arriving and leaving as he sees fit. But even nature gets ahead of herself or lags behind at times. Here in the dead of winter, a shaft of sunlight brings out tiny moth-like insects that dance straight up and down, going nowhere. Doing the right thing at the right time is all-important. We tend to get overanxious and want to push ahead when it is not the time nor the right thing to do. We are not programmed by nature but by Spirit, and from that comes the wisdom to stay or act.

    I beseech you…by everything you hold sacred and dear, abandon this wild visionary and desperate undertaking and return to your village.

    Coz :-) and Zi :-) horses are live souls, horses like their home :-) and their folks, breeding is how to breed young horses, how to teach them to breeze safely in heavy races, how to care of horses when they dont continue to take part in races, Coz :-) and Zi :-) dont change home :-) , trainer, groom, exercise rider, folks in your team and quiet good conditions of your everyday life :-) , i think about how is health of good kind Curalina :-) :-(

    A belated but very Happy Birthday to a legend in the entertainment field, Betty White!
    She celebrated her 95th yesterday and still going strong. She really is a treasure as well as a trusted friend to animals — she has been an animal lover all her life.

    Zenyatta, you two would recognize each other instantly if ever you were to meet and be old friends forever.

      Doc sure is a good looking pup. Thanks for keeping watch over the Moms and babies, sweet pups! Great they have an important job.
      My pups guard their snack barrel, now stocked with Dingos ( rawhides filled with chicken centers).
      Loving all of these new foal pics, too. That “cracker” with her lightening bolt, wow. Name her, Harriet Potter.
      Silver Max has a baby filly with a perfect crescent moon on her face. It will most likely fade but sure is sweet now.

      Interesting story! Dogs are so much smarter than many give them credit for! Especially enjoyed the part where she mentioned her phone ring is her dogs barking. A friend of mine has dogs barking as her ring tone. She laughs when she misses calls when we are at a dog show!!

      I sure hope Gunrunner gets to go in the Pegasus. He is a nice horse. Of course, I am pulling for Chromie and after him Keen Ice. I pray they all come through safely no matter who wins. It does seem that some of the entries don’t really belong but guess they have to try.

    January 19 Cherokee Devotional

    We have to actively resist the suggestion that something is going to make us sick. It is not easy to talk illness and poverty without believing strongly that we may have to deal with them. The easiest way is to cancel negative suggestions and claim what we want. Money, which is a de la in Cherokee, will run for cover if we continually talk hardship-and we know what happens when someone tells us we do not look well. We begin to take our pulse and wonder whether we should lie down. Too much sympathy and self-pity destroys our immunity to difficulty. When we shut down on it and begin to talk health and begin to talk about excellent opportunities, then we open the way to be well and prosperous.

    They came to you under the guise and pretense…and gained your confidence…they are enemies of you and your band, instead of friends.

    dear Sally and Judy i see :-) :-) , congrats to Palice Malice and Ekati’s Phaeton with beautyfull filly :-) :-) , Zi :-) well workout , Ziconic 3yo foal janu16 , 2017 santa anita five furlongs in 1,02:60 handyly 35th horse from 71 horses , four furlongs in 50:08 , well that time is in middle from 51:00 to 49:40 on four furlongs , Zi :-) by this way you can to breeze twelve or twelve and two quick breezes in year with no loss of your health , this is usefull in conditions of changing of weather on earth, not all horses could to tune work of their body to very hot summer of 2016 with everyday dry hard course :-( :-( , Zi :-) have good long rest, sleep in deep soft straw, slowly drink clean not cold water, eat green light hay apples pears care of your health, walk on air with groom, say to Coz :-) and stable mates too :-)

    Zi :-) lil correction to my tail, i had in mind twenty or twenty two workouts in year, twelve was number of races of mom Zenny :-) in one year, Zi :-) your legs are thin, your store of power is lower than store of power of Coz :-) and mom Zenny :-) , Zi :-) better more time have rest than breeze quickly , congrats to Bayern and Pastel Princess with beautyfull filly :-) :-) too

        Thanks for the great posts.
        Wow! After such a rough time in the gate, Buchiko did pretty well — she was mid-pack most of the way and managed to finish 4th in a sizable field. Good luck to her in her broodmare career; may she be well cared for and loved. No more scary starting gates for her!

        She is definitely unique and pretty. There should be a dalmatian companion in her barn! What a nice pair that would be.

      It was amazing they let her move over to a different gate and start from there, so at least she had a chance at the race. I wish her the best in her new job and it will be so interesting to see if she throws some spotted babies, too.

    The colt is out of the Slew Gin Fizz mare Look to the Stars, a half sister to multiple graded stakes winner and millionaire Isitingood (Crusader Sword) and to stakes-placed Thankyourluckystar (Tunerup). Look to the Stars has produced four winners from five starters.

    Thank you to everyone who is praying for Amy & me. Dr. Mike infuses Amy’s gland again, this time with a different antibiotic, so hopefully, this drug will cure the infection.

    January 20 Cherokee Devotional

    When we rely on other people for what we need to know, we are vulnerable to their mistakes. What others give us may be sincere and it may be genuine, but all information is a matter of how we read it. What one person says with one meaning may reach the ear of another with a different understanding. Wisdom comes from the same source regardless of where we hear it, but it is better to take words of wisdom and work them through our own minds for direction and understanding. When someone else has answers that seem to apply to our questions, we can be open and teachable, but not gullible. It stands to reason if we tune our ears to answers within ourselves, we won’t have to lean on outer sources for information.

    The British father…promised aid and assistance…he is at peace with the Great Father in Washington…and neither knows nor cares for your grievances…

      Correction: That should be Spendthrift Farm, no “s”.

      Lord Nelson is a 5 year old beautiful chestnut who was slated to run in the BC Sprint but was scratched due to a cut in his leg which was infected. He was treated with antibiotics to clear it up, but apparently, now he has laminitis. He is by Pulpit out of African Jade and has a very nice pedigree. Hope he gets healthy again soon.
