Dear Marshall, Thanks so much for the kind words. Have missed you all too.
Have been suffering from a heart that’s I guess the best word to say is a Heart that’s broken. Was so hoping my Quiet could have lived a little longer. But, I am so Thankful for his long wonderful life. And, I Thank Darley boyond any words that I could say for taking such good care of him. I told Quiet before I left him that I would be back. Glad I was sitting near a chair when they let me know of his passing. Just sat down in shock. Guess I should have been expecting it. But I was planning to go see him again. I know though, he is Ok and I know God has him now and I will see him again. There is just a connection there with him from the first moment I met him. Can not explain it in any way. But, a huge connection. He was and always will be my favorite horse.
It was kind of funny, they told me when I was there that every horse out there would bite you but him. Love that Laugh.
Judy told me that he waited on me to get up there. I believe that.
They told him his biggest fan was coming.
Love him Always
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Peggy,
Sending you a great big hug. I agree with Judy that QA waited for you to get there so he could see his sweet Peggy. He was a sweetheart and so very handsome. You will see him again someday, but until then, Quiet is always there in your heart. God bless.
Hugs and Love

Nothing is so bedraggled and beaten down as a garden in winter. It promises nothing, and shows only wilted, gray and soggy leaves. There are no straight defined rows, no hint of green to show that it will ever be any different. But the Cherokee knows the difference. Long before winter-in the season of planting, we sowed the best seeds we could. As tiny and insignificant as they look, they will produce. When the best is planted and watered and cared for, the time will come to see the increase-to see a miracle. Life can be renewed and restored. Bedraggled and ridden down as life can be, don’t despair. Plant good words, plant good seed. Nurture them with warm attention and care. Be a perennial believer and watch those first warm rays of sunlight awaken your garden to the Season of the Green Corn.
Sweet grasses and seeds serve as perfume for body and spirit.

Happy New Year beloved Zenyatta, the Moss’, Team Z, Zenyatta fans, Coz, Ziconic, Vixana! The kindness, considerations and participation of the Moss’ and Team Z towards her fans is so deeply appreciated by us all. Thank you and Blessed and Happy New Year throughout 2017!

A million thanks for making Zenyatta so accessible to all her fans. I just downloaded her picture as my screen saver and I’m so delighted to see her lovely face every day. I met Zenyatta at Hollywood Park just before her move to Kentucky and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I drove back to San Diego with my right hand in the air so I could share her stardust with my 23 year old cat, rescued dog and 3 other rescued cats. I cherish the memory and love every minute that you all so kindly share of her. Best wishes to all of you, always.

Dare to believe in miracles. Look beyond the mud on the windshield, beyond the impossible, and know life is more than anguish and stress. Reach out to someone when your heart is too heavy to feel the sunlight or to taste the rain. Rid yourself of dark thought and melancholy. Open your mind to fresh air, to the unlimited music in your soul. Thoreau wrote of waking in the night to hear a strain of music dying away-travelers singing. He said his whole being was so expanded and infinitely and divinely related that he knew how narrow his own thinking had been. The Cherokee always teach their young to listen. We hear not the crash of cymbals or the noise that rides the airwaves-but the sweet song of the meadow, the even rhythmic sounds of nature. It is here where the dikanowadidohi angel sings.
Speak to yourself in spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Goodnight and sweet dreams Queen Z, Vixana, Coz, Zi and family in California as well as in Kentucky. Do you have snow? Enjoy your winter frolicking and stay safe, warm and cozy in your nice stall.⛄️
We are getting a bit of snow here in North Carolina! It sure looks pretty, but I hope we don’t get any freezing rain. Don’t want to lose electricity! It is supposed to get really cold this weekend — possibly below zero on Sunday AM and zero on Monday AM. It will warm up to the upper 60’s by the end of the upcoming week! Crazy temperature swings — I wish the 60’s would just wait until time for spring. Oh well, at least it is snowing now!
Hugs and Lots of Love, sweet girl. ?

January 7 Cherokee Devotional
The earth is too small for all the lonely people to have missed each other so completely. But the voice of loneliness seems to persist and deepen with every hour. The Cherokee elder teaches the young person, “Learn to know and like yourself. Learn to be your own best friend.” Learn the art of enjoyable solitude-of having lunch with yourself and being comfortable about it. A person alone is unique. A lonely person shows it in his haunted stare. Sometimes loneliness comes because we have not made room for anyone else. We need to stretch beyond our boundaries, step out of familiar territory, stop nursing emptiness and self-indulgence. Loneliness is looking for something to fill a void. Joy is expanding so that others want to share our lives.
May your way be blessed with life by the unifying force of the Great Holy Spirit.

Thanks, Shirlee.
Chrome is soooo handsome and look at him walking off of the van, not backing out!
Remember when he would only back off? He is a proud Champ now!
That S. American horse entered in the Pegasus, sure has a wild mane-do. Handsome boy, too. He is fashion forward.
Stay cozy and warm Z fans.
