RIP Discreet Cat.
The son of Forestry died from illness today at Darley Japan where he had lived since he was 14 — he was 20 years old. He won the Cigar Mile in 2000 and equaled the record time of 1:32 2/5 . Condolences to all connections.

Zellda gave birth over a month ago yet this site hasn’t posted one photo. Is the foal okay? Is Zellda okay? What about Zenny? I would think her foal would be on the ground by now! Will all the Zenyatta fans out there who have supported this site and Zenyatta over the years, one would think they would give something to the loyal fans, even if it is bad news.

So I’m wondering if Z had a foal this year. Tomorrow is June 1, 2023 and it’s hard to imagine that she will foal in June. If she foaled in May the Jockey Club rules for reporting a foaling are as follows:
Live Foal/No Foal Report (Mare Reports):
1. Reporting live foal information
This report must be filed no later than 30 days after the foaling date.
2. Reporting no foal information
This report must be filed no later than 30 days after the projected foaling date or in January if the Mare was not bred (mated).
Based on the above, if she did foal late in May, Lane’s End wouldn’t have to report the foaling to almost the end of June.
I hope we hear one way for the other soon. Regardless of the foal outcome my only concern is for the health of Zenyatta.

Oh my word, so according to Facebook she is gong to have a June foal. The photos of Z are beautiful. Praying for a safe delivery, healthy mommy and foal. So happy Team Z gave us an update

There are some gorgeous pictures of Z with Ann and Z looks fantastic, so fingers crossed for a safe foaling.
