    I just got to read the comments of Zenyatta being not groom for her birthday photo’s.
    Yes– Lanes End should have her looking clean and groom for us to see her.

      What an incredibly entitled comment that in no way takes the comfort and enjoyment of the horse into consideration.

      Charles and Lane’s End, please continue to let Zenyatta relax and be a horse. She has no need to be a ‘pretty show pony’ for her pictures. We appreciate the time taken out of your busy day to provide us with pictures and updates.

      That’s all I wish for Zenyatta is good health and happiness and an easy foaling in may.Too much emphasis is put on appearance these days.Let Zenyatta enjoy her life now as a horse.We must not forget that Lane’s end graciously allow us into their life with the Queen too and we thank them sincerely.

      Don’t worry about Z. Horses are happiest when they are outdoors grazing and rolling in the grass, sand and mud. I’m sure she is groomed often and then goes outside and rolls in the mud. She’s just being a horse. Love and Hugs, J

      Its comments like this that makes the Zenyetta team go “Why do we post?” Check out Black Caviar’s home page they hardly give out any new info because people were questioning their care of Black Cav, Beholder’s home page will go stagnant because of all the negative comments over their naming of her colt. You should check out Foal Patrol and see the mud on some of the horses especially Centre Court, she loves the mud, they believe in letting the horses be horses. The horses deserve it after the stress at the tracks. Mud is hurting them. You don’t want to see muddy horses don’t look. The farm is well qualified and has an excellent reputation. So please keep the negative comments in your head before this website goes stagnant. They certainly don’t have to keep us in the loop. We should be saying thanks for the updates and love love the pictures. Team Zenyetta is the best!

    Sad news from Jessie Harrington about Our Duke one of her stable stars;He suffered a massive heart attack after exercising this morning.Last seen at the Cheltenham gold cup he was only 8yrs old.Rest well your work here on earth is done.Greener pastures await.
    Also Dame Rose died in the first race at Cheltenham No details.She was only 5yrs old.Too hot for chasing today.

    The daughter of of Frankel and Arc Heroine Zarkava has won on her first start at Longchamp.Zarkamiya is owned by the Aga Khan.

      Has something happened to Sea Hero? Sea Hero won the Kentucky Derby in 1993 (Jerry Bailey jockey). Go For Gin won it in 1994. I know Sea Hero was still alive in January 2018. I was wondering has something happened to Sea Hero? I love Go For Gin also, just concerned about Sea Hero. He’s had the distinction of being the oldest living Kentucky Derby winner for a while.

        Dear Alice;

        I loved Sea Hero too. He retired to stud at Lane’s End and then was sold and sent to stud in Turkey in 1999. I cannot find any recent info on him. I guess there was no clause to have him return home.

        There’s a beautiful statue of him at Saratoga. He must be pensioned now, as he is 28. I think you’re right, unless something we don’t know about happened, he would be the oldest living KD winner. He’s a year older than Gin. Love and Hugs, JB

          Michael Bolton was happy to welcome Sea Hero’s Daddy, Polish Navy at Old Friends in 2009 and I remember reading he said he would like to provide a place there for Sea Hero as well, once he was pensioned. Maybe he might have some recent info on him.

          Sadly Polish Navy was euthanized at Old Friends in 2011 due to a hip injury. He was 27. Love and Hugs, JB

    Zenny looks her usual wonderful self and she’s clearly happy to be “just a horse” Nothing better than a roll in a mud puddle when you can find one on the beautiful Lane’s End property. No mature lady needs to put her face on every day, birthday or not, I certainly do not!!!
    Looking forward to the safe delivery of a healthy foal.

    Dear Judy.It’s been very hot in certain parts of the country today the hottest april day in 70yrs.The horses racing at Cheltenham were getting very distressed so the jockeys and vets abandoned a 3 mile chase Oh,some of the trainers were annoyed to say the least.Do these men put the thought of winning a race before their horses safety.I am deeply ashamed of them.A few hardened punters with the same view Dame Rose collapsed and died.It was sunny and cool here.3J is getting very ‘eggy’this weekend maybe.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX

A superstar in Australia, she currently holds the record for the most Grade 1 victories and has won the Cox Plate – one of Australia’s premier races – three times. Even more exciting and impressive is that she’d done it by beating all comers in open company races against males.

    A horrible incident at Santa Anita this morning as Xten and his rider collided with another in the group and came down.The rider fractured his leg.There was no obvious trauma with Xten but despite trying several times to get up he failed.Vets,exercise riders and staff at SA stayed with him for 3 hours but sadly he had to be euthanised.He was just 3yrs old.RIP

    Remembering our dear Many Clouds on his 11th birthday.Winner of the Grand National in 2015 he died after the Cotswold Chase on January 28th 2017 when he literally raced his heart out.Now running in greener pastures.

    Joe Farrell has just won the Scottish Grand National in a thrilling finish.Getting cooled down now with lots of water.Trainer Rebecca Curtis has never even been to Scotland before!
    Wishing CNSM well he is in hospital Self inflicted and Hovisis’nt allowed to visit!

    6YO gelding a multiple graded winner, highlighted by last year’s G1 Canadian International.
    Was just shy of $1M in earnings.

        Elizabeth II is the Queen of more than England, which is only one country in the UK. Do not forget about Wales. She is also Queen of Canada and other Commonwealth countries.

        • You should read some of the comments on the Welsh History FB today.A lot did’nt want her as Queen.If you read my comment above I included the Commonwealth.As you know I have always been a monarchist and am proud to be both British and Welsh.
