Thinking of Kris Kin as his son Kris Spin wins in mud spattered style at Kelso. His sire was never really a success as a stallion and died tragically in Tripoli in 2012.I am sure he would have been pleased to see his son’s courageous performance.
Looks like another terrorist attack in Muenster several may have died as a van drove into pedestrians. The driver then got out and shot himself.RIP yet more innocents

So that’s what happened to Z-Princess? Poor baby girl. Kind of figured it was a severe injury like a broken shoulder or hip .. or her back. Up to now, one only heard she was euthanized because of a serious paddock accident.
Hi everybody does anyone know when they are going to name our Z17? Has someone come up with a suggestion for a name? We were all over it when Z Princess was born.
Traditionally, the Mosses do not name the colts/fillies until their first birthdays. Several suggestions have been sprinkled throughout previous posts by some of our Z fans — this is quite normal.
17Z is not a yearling just yet, but we all look forward to the official announcement. It won’t be too much longer so we happily wait. :-)
Waiting for the newest foal, while joining in the well wishes for our Queen Z on her April 1 birthday and mine, on the same day. Much love. You are the sweetest!
Three time Cheltenham winner and GN runner up Cause of Causes has been retired. This 10yr old son of the big D will have a fabulous home with owner JP at Martinstown.Live long sweetheartX
Buveur d’Air and Footpad are out of Aintree .Both scoped dirty.David and Patricia Thompson of Cheveley Park stud have bought GN hopeful Seeyouatmidnight.Thay also purchased Party Politics before his win in 92′
Paul Nicholls has sadly announced the death of his former stable star Silviniaco Conti at the age of 12 .Silvi had a accident while out team chasing on sunday with Charlotte Alexander.Vets initially thought he would recover but he took a turn for the worse and died this afternoon. So sad for Paul,Charlotte and Silvi.RIP brave, bonnie ladX
Although Barbara Wood shared the very sad news of Karen Gogue on face book, I wanted to express my sadness to one original Zdumpling and my sympathies to her family.
from another Zdumpling,

On this day in 2016 around 9.25pm a beautiful colt was born. His time here was short.God called him home to be with Z Princess but he left a large hoofprint in our hearts.Remembering Z16X
When are we going to get an update on Ziconic? I didn’t even see anything about his birthday, I was watching a video of him doing a timed work, and you could see he was really into it, and enjoying himself, but I don’t know how old it was. I know the last race was the first time I saw him not enjoying his work, They have to put him someplace in a race that he can win. I still say that once he gets to the winner’s circle, you will see a big turn a round. He works hard, and he needs to see results; he has lost confidence, and isn’t having fun anymore. I say, try blinkers, put him in a claiming race, where they can protect him, and maybe a up and coming jockey with soft hands, and has a way of connecting with a horse, and get the most out of them by that connection, instead of the whip; Ziconic seems to just give up with use of the whip. Find a jockey that can connect with him, like Victor did with California Chrome. Ziconic needs a gentle touch, he already has work ethics. Anyway, has anyone seen pictures of a birthday party for him?
ZI has had three works since his last race on 2/9/18. The works were on 2/24, 3/7 and 3/13. Nothing in April so far. Maybe we’ll have an update soon. Hope he’s well. Love and Hugs, JB
Dear Judy.Glad all is well with you and Lola.Still no signs of Glesni. As time goes on it becomes less likely we will see her again..A beautiful video of 3J up tonight she really is her mother’s daughter.Promises heavy going for Aintree.Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT and all the sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Hi all; I know I do not post too often any more. I wanted to share the deepest sad news of our Fancy (pants) at the CV horse sanctuary. Many may remember me posting stories in the past with what was going on with the horses and such.
This Tues am some one called the head volunteer to say Fancy was down. I got a heads up as I did horse duties and I met Jackie and the vet ten minutes after I had arrived.
Yes, Fancy nickered and turned her head towards me and I came out by her (as she was down just outside the stall) So sad to say the vet said Fancy’s heart was giving in so to speak. Fancy had the greatest heart of mind, still a beautiful horse, desired to get up but had no more energy because of her heart, so I blessed our dear Fancy, told her I loved her and just had to deal with it. I am still so sad and crushed by one of the kindest, gentle horses I had met, one I will always remember in my heart. It is always hard to see any loved one go. Never thought I would feel the same way as a dog or cat or loved one. When they are in your heart, it breaks.
Thank you,
Sally B
I am so terribly sorry and very sad that sweet Fancy has left us. You are so very right about their being in your heart and the heartbreak. However, they will always be there — forever in our hearts. Bless you for loving her and for the wonderful care you gave her.
Sending thoughts and prayers to you and all who loved this beautiful soul. RIP dear Fancy, there is another bright star shining tonight. I am certain that your beloved Sir was there at the Bridge to welcome Fancy home. ?
Dear Sally B,
My heart goes out to you. It is so sad when our beloved friends have to leave us. I am sure that Fancy appreciated all the love and care that you and all the rescue people gave her. You made her life here a better one and I am sure that she will greet you when it’s your time for your journey to heaven. Until then, you will always be in each others’ hearts.
I saw on Spendthrift Farm’s Facebook page today that Victor has been named to ride Bolt D’Oro in the Derby. I am a fan of Bolt, but not of Victor. Bolt is a really nice horse and does not need to be whipped as much as Victor does it in order to run his best. Too bad that penalties are not given for excessive use of the whip here like is done in Europe. If it was, Victor would be paying a lot of fines or serving a lot of suspensions…
I too believe VE over uses the whip. He was fined in Meydan this year for overuse and his use of the whip on American Pharoah in the 2015 Kentucky Derby caused a great deal of concern from some track officials, vets and fans. Love and Hugs, JB
Remembering the magnificence that was Sadler’s Wells and Desert Orchid on their birthdays today.37 and 39 respectively. They remain in our hearts forever.X
