Poor Zenny, she loves being a mother so much; I feel so sorry for her! I wish there was a way that she could feel all the love we have for her. God bless you Zenyatta!!
I don’t know why but I’m trying to post, and it says I already said it, and I checked, and it isn’t there. I’ll try again. Poor Zenny, she loves being a mother so much; I feel so sorry for her! I wish there was a way that she could feel all the love we have for her. God bless you Zenyatta!!
Now it was, after I put it in again, the other one showed up; sorry for that. It must be slow because so many of us are trying to post. She is much loved!
Dear Moss Family and team Z, I understand how you made the decision to breed Zenny to Into Mischief. Because Zenny loves Motherhood and rising her foals more than anything else in her life. I truly get that. I just had this thought all night that she might very much enjoy being a nurse mare to an orphan. I think it would soothe her pain at losing her own foal. But only if she’s healthy and if it would help her get over this. She so loves her foals. Thank you to you all for sharing her with us. We all love her so very much!!!
My sympathies to Zenyatta, the Mosses and all the connections at Lane’s End. Very difficult for Zenyatta to lose the foal so late, I would think. It is good to read that Zenyatta is well, however. My best wishes to her…
I”m overcome with sadness, but am holding my breath, waiting for Lane’s End or this site to provide information in hopes that the reports are, somehow, wrong.
Zenny is such a wonderful, magnificent being –my first hope is that she is healthy and OK. She certainly has the very best of care as well as the love of her many fans.
The thought of losing another foal is just so sad. Her babies extend her presence in our world, and give us a chance to dream about their future and wonder what traits of Zenny we may see as they grow.
Amazing that so many of us had the same thought about Zenny being a nurse mare. It just seems it would be a comfort but of course we don’t know all of the circumstances. Whatever is best for her is our concern.
My thoughts are with Zenyatta and her caretakers at this time. I have no other words , the sadness is so deep, please be well Zenyatta. The loss is almost too much to bear for your sweet motherly nature. A fervent wish for a complete recovery from this ordeal.
We all love you so very much.
With utmost love and respect.
My thoughts and prayers go out Ann and all of Zenyatta’s connections. This news is just devastating and unbearable. RIP Z18. The tears just will not stop…I love you Zenyatta
My thoughts, prayers, hopes for beautiful, magnificent Zenyatta and all, my heart aches for your loss and I pray Z is physically ok!!! xoxoxo I love you Z!!!
I feel so sad for Zenyatta and Ann Moss and all of Lanes End Farm. I pray that Zenyatta has a full recovery and will be out in the pasture soon.
I love you Zenyatta.
Absolutely heartbreaking news! I kept hoping it was a nasty rumor, until it came up on another site last night.
My deepest sympathy to the Mosses and all at Lane’s End who love and care for Zenny. Now we must pray that all is, and remains, well for Zenyatta. Power up, beautiful Queen, know that the whole world is sending you love and prayers.
Love and hugs to all here, from me, Boss Mare Sue, Barnaby and Traveller

No… I just can’t believe it. I don’t want to believe it.. not our Zenyatta ? I pray that she’s ok.. this is just devastating news and my heart is with the Moss’s and Zenny’s family connections. Beyond sad…..
Heartbreaking news. So very sad for Zenyatta (and Ann and entire team) she’s such a great mother. Bless her heart, I hope she’s ok. It’s worrisome. It would be great if she could be a nurse Mare for a needy foal, if she is up to it.
Dear Momma Z,
I am so sad that it is true that you lost your 2018 foal. My heart goes out to you, Ann and all of your team at Lanes End and Team Z. I will keep praying healing prayers for all of you. I also pray that you are ok physically and ok to breed again when the time comes. You are such a great mother! Please know how loved you are. May God hold you close until you are ready to move forward from the sadness.
Dear Sheena,
Happy Birthday to you. This is the earliest I can get to my home computer on work days. Other than the confirmation of the sad news about Zenyatta and her foal, I hope that you are having a wonderful day.
I’ve loved horses all of my life. Growing up in the 50s I watched all the great western movies and television shows. I had a stick horse that I rode daily in my yard. My family even had a horse for awhile though he was too high spirited for me to ride. When I got older I watched the races on LA TV and when I was old enough I started going to Hollywood Park, Santa Anita and Del Mar. I loved racing, jockeys and the wonderful thoroughbreds. My point in saying all of this is that with all my history with horses I have never loved one like I love Zenyatta. I can’t watch her races without crying. I pray along with everyone else that she recovers completely and quickly. God bless her and her owners.
I’m so sad to hear about Zenyatta’s foal. Last night I was holding out hope and prayer that the story was wrong but if it must be I am praying all is well with our Zenyatta. She is loved by so many; please be OK pretty girl.
My heart goes out to Zenyatta, Ann and Team Z. This is heartbreaking news. I was waiting to hear about her foaling checking here everyday of word. Hope that Zenyatta is ok. I’m sure she will wonder what happened to her baby. Hope she gets lots of love and attention from her team. May God keep watch over you. Will always love you sweet girl, in my thoughts and prayers always.
