Dear fans,
We are so touched by the flowers and notes left at Zenyatta’s statue during the Breeders’ Cup. The strength and compassion shown by this community never ceases to amaze us.
The 2014 Zenyatta.com Celebration was a huge success, and we can’t wait to share the final results. Auction winners have been notified, and we will be drawing our grand prize and bonus gift bag winners shortly. All winners will be notified tonight. Check your email!

The flowers in memory of Z Princess are beautiful. I love the tiara too; what a sweet gesture. A tiara for the princess.

It makes me happy to know that Team Zenyatta knows that we feel their sorrow and that somehow it comforts them.
That is such a wonderful display of love at Z’s statue.
Love to all as we move forward with Zenyatta, Coz, Zi, Team Z and Lane’s End.
Congrats to those lucky peeps who get to meet with Z and who get the auctioned items!

We are all so grateful and happy that we are allowed in Zenyatta’s. Thank you!

HeidiK,
Well said… my sentiments exactly.
♥ Auntie Judy aka JAG So. California
It was extremely emotional to see all the pink flowers. I brought pink roses and three cards. I couldn’t express myself on just one. As I sat in my car and wrote a sentiment on each one I had tears streaming down my face. ♥ Our Baby Girl is gone….
We had our annual Z Dumpling photo taken. There were lots of hugs and tears. But, we were also cheerful and happy to be reunited with our Queen. I have a photo I could share of the group. Thanks to Jeffrey Mallard who tolerates us LOL
I entered the contest. Hopefully, I won a visit to Lane’s End!
The mini crown and peppermints were placed there by Z Dumpling Karen Gogue. She also brought a sign expressing her love.

Loosing a horse is never easy, loosing a baby is heart breaking. I commend Team Z and Lane’s End, for their care of Zenyata and her Princess.
Deana from Texas
Mere words can never express,
Our sadness in hearing the passing of Z’s Princess,
Her life brought light to our souls,
Her beauty surpassed the best of foals,
I cannot imagine the loss that you feel,
But share the heartache and tears that are hard to conceal.
That curly main and dark thick lashes,
Were certain to melt a few hearts and the masses.
Your spirit reminded us all of Z,
So independent and full of life for all to see.
Your memory will remain forever in our heart,
As the beautiful little girl that is a work of fine art.
Run free little girl, as fast as the wind,
Your soul embraced us, your eyes a friend…soulful and kind.
Now you are an angel, a gift for Team Z,
That will protect and keep safe her racing siblings to be.
Zenyatta, Team Z, LE, and your devoted fans loved you…
Unconditionally.

To the Mosses, our thoughts are with you. Saw Mr. Moss on TV in an interview for a horse they had in one of the Breeders Cup races. He was very quiet and Ann Moss was not to be seen. The commentator only spoke of the horse he had in the race and JM said they were always hopeful of their horses performance. No mention of the princess on any of the TV coverage. Sincere sympathy to Mr. & Mrs. Moss.
Margaret
There was a super ugly thread going on, on Friday on HRTV’s website. I won’t repeat the gist of the commentators–just know it was so over the top ugly. Rude ugly allegations were tossed out without a second thought.
I started to call people on the slanderous comments. That just seemed to stir the pot unfortunately. It was very sad to watch supposed fans say cruel heartless ugly things not only about the Moss’s but they included Lane’s End.
It was sad week. I was heartbroken over the loss of Princess, same as most here. Just no words to describe the pain my heart felt. I’m not sure if others lost sleep but I wouldn’t be surprised. I took the loss badly.
But there’s was some good news that same morning before the announcement. Silver Charm is coming home! He’ll be at Old Friends around Thanksgiving. I don’t know how quickly he’ll be on any tour cause he has to go into quarantine for awhile. Not to worry it’s absolutely normal when shipping horses.
My heart still feels this whole unsettled sense of security. I hope my fellow fans, friends and Z family will hold on while life starts to settle back down. I just feel like I’ve been kicked in the chest double barrel by a draftee…
My biggest hug to Zenyatta who I know doesn’t understand any of this. But she’ll understand a petting and carrots! My best to ALL of Team Z. Without your hard work we wouldn’t have Z, to have seen train, race or even into motherhood. Special thanks to Dottie who worked as Zenny’s scribe. And to ALL at Lane’s End who have suffered the same tragic loss we have–I’m so very sorry. My best to ALL of you. We appreciate all that you do for the horses in your care.
LauraJ (Cincinnati, OH)
Silver Charm will be out of medical quarantine by the time he arrives at OF. Usually they wait a couple of weeks to allow the horse to acclimate before putting them on the tour. Depending on how he does, Big Silver Charm may be on the tour earlier, as he is not coming off track. That’s just speculation on my part, though.
Don’t let the internet trolls get you down. They’re sociopaths who delight in stirring the pot (research actually shows this). The people whose opinions count alrady know that there’s no fault to be laid. The Mosses will continue to be honored as the caring owners that they are, and Lane’s End won’t lose any clients over this.
Margaret
Thanks Laura. You’re right. It was people behaving badly. I kinda wish I had taken a screenshot of some of it. Not to add to the pain but to see if I recognized names from Barbara Livingston’s page. She has Unfriend Friday! It’s a hoot!
Yesterday was a triple crown of unfriend Friday friends!

I was moved to tears more than once, looking at all the beautiful flowers placed in memory of ZPrincess and sharing with friends all the wonderful memories of Z and her baby girl.

The generosity of everyone associated with Zenyatta truly goes above and beyond. Rest in peace Princess.

I will never forget you, Zenyatta, or your baby girl that was taken so early in her life. When I celebrate my April 1 birthday next year, I will say a prayer for ZPrincess and do a toast for you and me. I love you Queen Z.
Kathy
Oh, that little pink tiara for Z Princess. What a perfect tribute. Beautiful flowers. Crying again. RIP sweet, sweet Z Princess. We will always love you.

Thank you to Jane Wade for coming up with this idea to cover the Zenyatta statue with flowers on Breeders Cup weekend at Santa Anita. The generous gesture was made by so many Zenyatta and Z Princess fans who love and adore them so much. A beautiful tribute to a young filly that is gone way too soon. We shall not forget her in our hearts as she looks over us all from above. She is our Z Princess Angel now.
Cynthia H.
Yes, thank you for your inspired and beautiful idea, Jane, and for the many who helped to make it blossom. ♥
