Happy Friday!
Mario Espinoza, who was Zenyatta’s groom throughout her racing career, was recently featured in TVG’s “Good for Racing” segment. It’s a must-see for Zenyatta fans!
We’re so grateful for Mario and the role he played in Zenyatta’s life before retirement.
Enjoy!

I thought this was a nice write up about our ♥ CoZ
Cozmic One and Second Start Theory:
“…it is too early to count out Cozmic One. A light may go off in his head for the next race, whether that comes this week or in a few weeks. Since his debut, four workouts show on his work tab, spaced evenly with seven to 10 days between each spin. With most trainers, that pattern signals a real run is coming soon. As noted though, Shirreffs trains patiently. Unfortunately, if he loses again another overreaction to wherever he places in his next start is likely.”

These points are well take, Even our recent triple crown winner was a dud in his debut.

The story reminds me of another horse who was considered “fat”, “lazy”, and “too pretty to do any good” who sent his trainer into fits of despair with subpar practice runs time after time until one morning, everything clicked and the horse set down a blazing time on the track and never looked back. His name was, of course, Secretariat. He’s your 3-times great-grandaddy, too, Coz! Don’t worry, everything will fall into place. You take your OWN time to figure it out! Just because your baby brother seems to be precocious shouldn’t intimidate you. You are Cozmic One and your own man!

Coz breeze like on belmont course, choose you liked speed on long courses and keep it constant, dont stumble in gate, breeze with friendly mates, keep safe distance to forward horse to horses in sides and hind horse, youtube ” hialeah park quarter horse jockey cam equisight ride the race in hd ” , i think you are 1 1/16 mile horse, choose speed lower than that quarter horses, dont breeze for long time near left fence, you are big, there is no free space there, to forward and to right side, choose races on sloopy cource, if it is need to breeze from gate #1 or course is dry and hard, breeze at lil lower speed, keep increased safe distance to all horses around, try dont to change lead legs often, try dont to change quiet mooving in turns, dont cut way of mates to left and guess situations when other horse can cut your way to left, see safe moving on way to track and from, care of back legs hooves and health, have bath,, say hello to Ziconic :-) ,, Zenny Ziconic Coz in summer try to be on air, kiss your soft noses

Are there any new pictures of the Two Princes anywhere? There were some beauties of Ziconic training last week, but I haven’t seen anything in a few days. Has the Sherriff’s barn moved to Saratoga for the summer?
American Pharoah is finally back home at Santa Anita. He arrived back at his home track in regal style, befitting his newly crowned status, in a “carriage” emblazoned with his colors and new title as well as a police convoy escort that is probably the same as the one used for the president of the United States on his visits to California. AP took it all in stride, of course. He came down the ramp, posed for his fans, accepted treats from his trainer Bob Baffert, nuzzled Brody Baffert, then went for a walk around the walking ring before his now ritual open to the public bath time! Whatta guy!

Wonderful video of Mario. It is so true Secretariat had Eddie Sweat and Zenyatta had Mario Espinoza. We are so Thankful.
Mario, Thank You so much for taking such great care of our girl.

I am so happy I got my power back on to say good night and then this wonderful piece.
We had a storm, I had no power for most of the day and evening. This is a precious video of Mario, the caretaker of Zenyatta. I was there with my friend that final race at the Breeders Cup, and although I was devastated for Z, I truly believed she conquered with her heart and power to win the race…she showed who should have won that race! But I do not blame Blame. I do cherish and will love Zenyatta forever.
Thank you team Z , Sally B

Our vitality does not go first-our interest goes. Dreams, one by one, that we let slip through our fingers, cannot be sustained and they drift. When that happens, what else is there?
Like rare pieces of old delicate lace, we fold away our dreams in tissue and forget them. Without realizing it, we have put away our vitality as well. Vitality-life, strength, creativity. Priceless interest must be restored if we are to be strong and healthy and able to contribute to our own benefit as well as others.
All living creatures and all plants are a benefit to something.

Dear Kathy.Great devotional!Happy national pink day! It’s sunny here today and the “bobs” are sleepy.Dad caught another shad yesterday. They are very well fed babies. At last I found Max and Mia they had a wonderful 1st birthday and Mia is the pink princess today. Is Zeus still on FB?So many changes there.Very quiet on Joey and no news from Mango of Judy’s return yet but Mr Fibbs seems to be getting back to normal after the glowing doughnut debacle!!Even Zoe’s dad has pink socks on I hope the temps have fallen there can you imagine if they had a power cut?.Poor Luni has had an upset tummy. Dexter is getting huge.Do you think it’s a good idea to have a large dog with those little ones about?A baby was attacked by a terrier over the weekend in England(can’t recall where) he died only 3 weeks old.Mother was out at 4.15am????Her Majesty and the Duke are beginning a 4 day tour of Germany.Heard the viewing figures fell for RA again.Should be back on the BBC!Commentators are useless.Hope you have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaX
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Happy Pink Day to you, too! I guess I’d better put on a pink shirt instead of the white one I’m wearing right now! lol Glad the “bobs” are doing great and are so well-fed. Sorry for the fish! Perilous time for them! I have forgotten to check on Max and Mia. Guess I got out of the habit since I couldn’t find them for the longest time. I think she still has Zeus, but who knows??? Mr. Fibbs is so funny. Besides turning into a dinosaur, I wonder if he glowed in the dark, too…Zoe’s dad looks very stylish and dapper. My dad was so funny. Back when we first started seeing pastel pink shirts for men, he wouldn’t wear them. He only wanted his white, blue or sometimes yellow. It would be disastrous to lose power in Scottsdale! The AC technicians must be the most popular people in town. I’m sorry Luni’s tummy is upset. I don’t think I would put a French Mastiff with Poms. I have to say though, Dexter seems pretty mellow. That’s horrible news about the baby being attacked. Bon voyage to Her Majesty and the Duke. That’s surprising the viewing figures fell for RA. I would have thought it would be very popular. Happy Tuesday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Thanks Team Z for all you do for Zenny’s fans. Indeed, Mario and the entire Team Z are all truly good for racing. My favorite description of Zenyatta’s gift was from Dottie: “Every time she crossed the finish line, she took all that’s good about the sport with her!” I still treasure Dottie sharing John’s goodbye to Z, before she left for Lane’s End: “There’s not one thing about you that isn’t exceptional…not one.”
Hugs to all!

We saw Mario with Z back by the shed rows at Oaklawn for Zenyatta’s 16th race.
We could not introduce ourselves of course because we realized we should not be there as we did not have the passes the others had standing around near Z. Mario was always with Z and you could tell he liked it. At one time he decided to take her for a short 35 foot walk and he was coming at me. I wanted to take a perfect picture, but he was coming and I kept stepping back, stumbled backwards and Mario smiled and then stopped a moment. Such wonderful memories!

Tears are not always shed because of unhappiness. Emotions are stirred by the tears of other people and by music and gratitude and love. Hurt and humiliation and despair are washed away by tears-because that is the healthy nature of things.
We have been told there should be an end to our grieving, an end to the pain that brings tears, but time eases those things and cleanses at the same time. Long-term grieving is not natural and should not be the authority of what we think. But Spirit knows what we need-if we will ask.
My brother, you can go into the agency if you wish; but I intend to work my way up to the Powder River country. I think it will be better for us all if the people are not divided.

Dear Kathy.Time is a wonderful healer. The whole family are at home on the Dyfi Glesni left them alone for awhile early but was near by.I can’t wait to find out the news is at 6pm!I am most probably wrong but guessing 2 girls and a boy.The females are larger in size maybe Bobby bach is the only male! It’s gone dull after a bright morning poor Judy and Nay driving home in all that heat 105F!!!Mango and her sissys are happy though.I am thinking Theba may be on holiday no posts this week.Marty’s on periscope now!Such a cute pic of the 3 of them together and Boo,Buddy and Blue having their birthday treats,Angel rose is very ill today bless her something with her immune system.Gosh, the Juddmonte is shaping up to be a top race this year.
My dad wouldn’t have been seen dead in a pink shirt he always liked white or maybe a check!Buckingham Palace is in need of a refurbishment so the royal court will most likely move to Windsor Castle. Many parts of the Palace haven’t had a make-over since 1952!Her Majesty occupies a 9 roomed apt there and there are 775 rooms!!!Hope you have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.Sheena.

Dear Sheena,
We will all be anxious to know the sex of the osprey chicks. I wouldn’t want to be traveling on a motorcycle in that heat. Very exhausting and uncomfortable! I can just imagine the happy reunion with the furbabies when they got home. I’m pretty sure Theba is on vacation. I’ll be excited to find out the situations that will be enacted on Marty’s page. Boo, Buddy and Blue were just precious in their picture. So sorry to hear of Angel Rose’s illness. She’s so tiny. I pray she recovers. I was haunted all day yesterday by poor Mason. I hope several will sign the petition I found. He deserves justice. RE Buckingham Palace, no makeover since 1952 is a long time! 775 rooms…that boggles the mind! Have you been there? It would be great to see. Have a good Hump Day. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Dear Sheena,
It is s very sad day, an end of an era, Sir Henry has died, Lady Cecil has retired and
Sheik Mo is buying Warrens’s place. Everything will change although Warren’s Place
will still be there. Don’t think their will be any shrine or remembrance of Sir Henry
there. So very sad when times change.
