Magician to stay in the US
At The Races 27 Oct 2014
Aidan O’Brien’s Magician will be retired to Ashford Stud in Kentucky after he attempts to defend his Breeders’ Cup Turf crown on Saturday.
By Galileo, the four-year-old sprang to prominence by winning the Dee Stakes at Chester last May and then dropped back down in trip to win the Irish 2,000 Guineas in fine style just two weeks later.

Experience may be our best teacher. But it is faulty reasoning to invite certain experiences just so we can learn. This is no different from intentionally doing something wrong to see if we can be forgiven. No one should take such gambles. If we have already survived some of our gambles, then we have reason enough to quit. We get by with few things that will not have later effect. Overall, what we put into life is what we get out. If we put in wrong, we get wrong. Believing we are invincible is great if we are on the right track. Gambling is not the right track. Gambling is foolishness, and our being so sure of what we can do is dangerous in the light of all we have to watch out for in these times. Think about it.
I wish to send a little message to my people. Tell them that I am dead.

Yes, he’s riding my gorgeous ♥ JUDY THE BEAUTY!! :-) I was happy with Johnny V but Mike did win on her at Del Mar this summer.

Queen Z looks so lovely in her picture. A little mud is good for the skin and hair. Love the red streaks in her mane. Guess she doesn’t realize how much we pay at the salon to get streaks like that since she does it naturally.
Z Princess is getting so big and looks just like mom. Wonder if they would consider naming her Z Princess?
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Kathy.Marty and I are well-prepared for Monday oh,why does it have to come around so quickly!Zoe is doing well with her “likes” The Bears lost bless her!All our other furbabies are well it seems Buster(the cat)is staying with his foster mum now,he’s so settled there.Tom is keeping Will’s red coat,he very rarely used a collar or leash. They played a record on the local radio station for him this morning. He touched so many people.Mango got a large donation last night enough to buy 4 carts! And she’s got a boyfren after all she told her mum she’s 21 now!!God bless them both.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Have a great week.Sheena.
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
Marty has the right idea hiding on Mondays. That’s one smart rodent! Zoe was so upset her team lost, but thankfully to offset that she crossed 10,900. Yay! That’s touching that Tom is keeping Will’s coat. So nice that they played a record for him. I read about the large donation for Freedom Wheels. That’s good that Mango has a boyfren. Such a precious little dog! Have a good day and a good week. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

♥ Thank you, Team Z, for your ongoing efforts in keeping Zenyatta’s loyal subjects involved in her life and that of her royal offspring. As Breeders’ Cup approaches, memories of her are alive more than ever in all of our hearts. ♥

Great article in the blodhorse on our beautiful Queen Z
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/features/long-live-the-queen-650
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
Wow!!!! This is an absolutely wonderful account of her great career and also her personality!! A must read for sure! Thanks Janet! Warning – get the Kleenex ready if you are at all emotional about our girl :-)
Jen
That scared the mess out of me! I saw the main page of Bloodhorse and almost passed out. I thought something bad had happened!
Max
That phase has been used since time immemorial as a sign of deep respect and as a blessing to the monarch. The UK national anthem currently contains these words – “Long live our noble Queen, God save The Queen”. Seems appropriate as well for Zenyatta, who needs no lessons at all in how to be graceful and regal.
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Janet and Z Fans:
Kudos to BloodHorse on this article. Well done and covers Z’s career in detail. Loved the mention of Kari B and I spotted AJ in one of the photos. Never will there be another like our Queen (well, possibly Z Princess). Love and Hugs, JB
Ingrid Arnone
Dear Janet,
Love the article, thanks.
Hugs Ingrid.

One of the best I’ve read!
suew/Va
What an amazing article! I loved every word! Sometimes I wonder if we truly understand how magnificient she was and is…all in one spectacular 17.1 hand package. She loved her racing career as much as we loved seeing her tear down that track.
Even now we should feel so honored to be a part of her life. Zenny will always be larger than life to me and I am blessed to be her fan
Kathy
Thanks, Janet! Read the article yesterday and promptly copied it. Never can get enough Zenyatta! She is the Queen. Long may she live! She is indeed the horse of a lifetime. I’m so glad I was alive for it.
♥ Auntie Judy aka JAG So. California
♥ Z Princess sure resembles you, Zenny! The young woman walking you sure has a big smile. I would, too, if I were in her shoes!!!
There will never be another BC race like when you beat the “boys” in 2009!!!! I was there, and those grandstands shook like a 6.0 earthquake!!!
Thank you, Team Z for sharing your “family” with us as the grow.
{{{Hugs}} to all, Auntie Judy XO
p.s. I look forward to seeing John and Dottie at the BC with his two entries. Safe racing.
Linda in NJ
Hi Team Z
I am also looking forward to seeing everyone at the BC.
A very exciting weekend coming up!!
I will look forward to your upcoming announcements

Fantastic article Bloodhorse. The photos are gorgeous. The telling of the tale captured the events so clearly. A story we all know by heart. When Kari was mentioned I lost it. I know the regular computer lab patrons are familiar with my emotional reactions (very quiet but no less sincere) where Zenyatta is concerned but this was so moving. Many of them frequently ask me about her. Most have never watched a horserace but they know about Z, Coz, Ziconic and Z Princess. This time of year is very difficult for me because in Coctober 2011 my Mom was diagnosed with cancer and she died exactly one month later. In my shock and grief I withdrew into myself but it was my love for Zenyatta and my appreciation for the glorious equine athlete along with the wonderful people that meet here that got me through that bad time. May all the horses and riders cross the finish line safely.
Holly Weeks
Blood horse did a great story on the Beautiful Zenyatta. I really enjoyed reading it and the pictures were beautiful!
She is truly a legend!

I really am a cheerful person. I promise. Jackie has destroyed the recliner arms upholstery. When Cotton feels affectionate she likes to gnaw on my hand. The weather is glorious and Breeders Cup is just days away. Wise Dan is HOY. You know I love my Mikey but I have to root for CC.

Jackie- a time out is in order. Straighten up and fly right!

MEET and GREET at the BC
If anyone on here (including you Team Z folks) is going to the BC and hasn’t heard about this otherwise, a group of us are planning to gather at Zenny’s statue at 10:30 on Friday morning. It will be fun to see some old friends and hopefully meet some new ones. If you have a “Dumpling Tag,” don’t forget to bring it. Hope to see you there!
Judy Berube From Rhode Island
Dear Sandy, Z’sters and Dumplings:
Wishing all of you a wonderful time at the BC. Will be there in spirit. Love and Hugs, JB

The countdown is on for the Breeders Cup. It is so wonderfully exciting and yet tense as I pray not one horse or one rider will be injured. God be with you all!!

My dear Zenyatta, Oh how I worried about you when running all those fantastic races. I just could not bare to see you get injured.
And although you are at LE having the greatest care in the world, I still will always pray for you; for your good health and happiness. You are the greatest horse love of all.
Love n kisses to you Z and to your young
