Tuesday I will be having surgery on my shoulder.
Thanks to all the connections that helped me have a successful year.
See you in 2017
Hello everyone and to you Zenyatta, you prankster you! Good to see that you are keeping up with the latest in hairstyling, practicing on Ann. What a team! So good to have a belly laugh, thank you. :-)
It’s been awhile since I’ve chimed in here; nice to read what everyone has been up to, including the links. Want to wish all of you all over the world a very happy holiday season. Zenyatta, hope your barn is very festive for you and your friends.
And, a belated happy birthday to Barbara Wood. Hope it was a good one!!
When something has been trying our souls, it is hard to come up and breathe fresh air. Something hangs a rock around our necks and we sag, droop, moan, and argue with frustration. How nice it would be to go to the garden, a plot of ground yielding fresh vegetables or an arbor covered with roses. But winter doesn’t afford us such pleasures-unless we have captured the essence of these things in our minds to relive when we need them.
The need for a good memory is not just to recall a name or a face, but to bring what we need into vision. It is the Native American’s way to go into a field of no particular beauty simply to pay attention. We mentally record the colors, the shapes, the birds and their songs, and then when we return to our homes, we recite to ourselves or others what we have seen. This sharpens memory and saves an experience that will come again when needed.

Dear Kathy.I miss my garden and especially the view of the towy valley.Nature is the great healer.Planet Earth finished over here last night It’s been a joy to watch but the modern generation are so squeamish about the hunting scenes. They assume their meat comes all neatly wrapped up in the supermarket.Felix has had to order more calenders herself!!She cannot rely on her humans.A family from Australia came to meet her today on platform 1 at around 6.30am.She is heading for 100,000 followers.
The drummers arrived in Downing Street today Larry prefers drumsticks.Big political fallout over here is about Mother Theresa’s leather trousers.Nicky Morgan former-education secretary criticised her over the cost(£995)said she had only spent that much money on her wedding dress. She was seen with a £945 mulberry bag.Oops she has been banned from attending a meeting in no 10 this week.Larry must have a word with Mother Theresa!
I went on Fubu’s page last night she has raised over $1000 but the donations have dried up now.No more news from her over the weekend.Judy and Nay will be finished with the house this week. The ratties are counting down to Christmas.I remembered a sprinter called the Tatling 5yrs ago today he won his last ever race in Wolverhampton he was nearly 15.He had ran 176 times in his long career and been ridden by 36 different jockeys! You can see the race on you-tube if you google his name.I pray all goes well for Ray and Cheryl today and will be thinking of them both.Remember to turtle it’s colder today in Wales and wet!Have a good day.Looking forward to Wednesday and Valegro.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Had lunch yesterday again with my friend Debbe at one f\of the wineries in Temecula and the rose bushes were in bloom.! That’s SoCal for you…Yep, our meat we had for dinner was once an animal walking or swimming around. Congrats to Felix with all those followers. That’s so silly to complain about the price famous people pay for their clothes. It’s none of my business as long as they are not asking me to pay for it…Judy and Nay have been working very hard. Hope they can get a little rest soon! Loved the pic of Fibbs in the most recent countdown pic. I will definitely look up Tatling. That’s amazing! Thank you for keeping Ray and Cheryl in your thoughts and prayers. I’m looking forward to Valegro’s farewell ceremony. I will turtle as much as possible. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Wow, what a remarkable accomplishment by Tatling!
Amazing boy, what grit and durability you showed at Wolverhampton 5 years ago.
Brilliant, brave boy. Happy Anniversary!
The death has been announced of 1997 Grand National Lord Gyllene at the age of 28,He was a little shaky earlier today and just died suddenly at his stable. He had been chasing his 2 girlfriends around the paddock yesterday,He will always be remembered for winning the GN on the Monday in the year of the bombscare at Aintree. He was owned by Sir Stanley Clarke and lived at his daughter’s home now after Stanley’s widow Hilda died last year.Always paraded at Aintree on the big day he had a wonderful life and will be sadly missed.Run free now my beauty.RIP Love Sheena
How lovely to see Zenny and her Ann. After seeing the video of Beholder arriving at her new home I remembered how worried I was about Zenyatta going to Lanes End. But then there was the day she was released and for the first time free to run and buck. She was so, so happy. I hope Beholder has all that happiness as well. It is plain to see that Zenyatta is happy and content and very well loved.
It is impossible for me to catch up on all your posts. I pray everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Just a nosy & very late question – what happened with Z’s 2016 baby? Have seen/heard a big zero. Am I looking in the wrong place? How about her 2 boys to race? Have’nt seen or heard a word about either in nearly a year.
