Friday Filly Update

Happy Friday!

Zenyatta’s Candy Ride filly is almost three months old, and we couldn’t have asked for a better baby.

Currently weighing almost 400 lbs., she’s above average in height, well-balanced, athletic and leggy.

Much like her mom, she loves attention from humans. Her equine social circle includes offspring of Bernardini, Medaglia D’Oro, and another Candy Ride foal as well.

    I was asking about Z’s little princess and here she is! Boy, she has a lot of presence about her, doesn’t she? Maybe she knows she’s royalty. Big, strong, precocious, and beautiful. Thank you so much for the photos and videos. What a Friday afternoon teat.

    She’s got Mom’s big engine on her! Meeting Queen Z at Hollywood Park just before she retired was such a thrill–almost as much as being present for her BCC win!

    A million thank you’s to Alys and Todd for the videos and photos — wonderful moments! Thanks to Team Z and Lane’s End, also. 20Z is amazing! Can’t believe her beautiful build and her personality, WOW! She seems to be a perfect mirror of Mama, clearly in living “chestnut” color. Things of beauty and joys forever, Z and little girl Red!

    With all the terrible news being rammed down our throats, what a breath of fresh air and welcome news this is. She is so adorable. Those long legs. Those straight back legs. Her personality seems the same as her mom. Now, the question is, can she dance?

    She’s beautiful, and she’s going be as athletic as her mom! She’s the color of a graham cracker, has milk chocolate eyes, and a marshmallow on her forehead, and she’s the daughter of Candy Ride can we name her Z’more?

    She has her mama’s ears and the attitude Z had when she was younger. I have a good feeling about this one. Who knows – something good may come out of 2020 yet!

    She is so beautiful like her mom for sure. I am partial to red heads though since I am one also my granddaughter and her son so just a family of reds!! Little Z is so precious, also did I catch another Candy Ride foal? Does that mean Zen has been bred back to him for next year? Well if so another pretty baby on the way!!

    I misunderstood the comment about another Candy Ride filly of course didn’t read the article as good as I should being one of Z20’s friends excuse me but wouldn’t be bad if she was bred back to CR!!

    This not so little lady has the best conformation of all of Z’s babies, I think. Gorgeous neck and shoulder, beautiful walk and spectacular hindquarters. I lived seeing her casually top her pasturemates without bullying them. Her white star is less moon/ circle and looking more like a comment or statement balloon. And I love seeing Mama’s ears and bright interactive personality shining through. This one will be fun to name, Ze Lady in Red, Ze Red Licorice?
