Happy Thursday,
Today was our second day at Lane’s End Farm with Zenyatta. Her War Front foal will arrive any day now (our guess is next week) so we’re relaxing and eating healthy snacks just like Zenyatta!
Here are a few photos taken this morning, before rain set in. Tomorrow we’ll tell you a little more about Zenyatta’s friend and paddock mate who can be seen in some of these images.
Don’t forget that Ziconic is entered in Race 4 at Santa Anita tomorrow. #GoZiconic!
Enjoy,
Team Z
Debbi
So excited and thanks for the updates. You all are so generous to include her fans!

What Debbi said! So excited! Keep us posted. (:

Z looks relaxed and great as usual, however, cannot help but think about Ann and how she is coping. I am sure these are anxious times for her. Looking forward to the new arrival to Team Z. Take care.

Well, Zenny, this answers the question about whether you would continue to enjoy some time outside of the foaling barn. You look amazing – so calm and serene (unlike us). You are also a bit . . . ummmm . . . well . . . . large ? We are all thinking of you and sending our love and best wishes. Will look forward to hearing about your pasture mate tomorrow. Speaking of tomorrow, will you be watching Ziconic? Hope you’ve got a large screen TV in your stall. Sleep well ❤️

As I recall Zenyatta has the habit of foaling right after the Mosses leave for dinner. Can’t wait to see her War Front foal. Thank you for all of the beautiful pictures and news.
Susan
I could stare at these pictures for hours! Love you Z…hope the delivery goes well. Hoping for a filly!

Kimberly

She has a faraway look in her kind eye. She knows it’s close. Safe delivery Treasured one!

Looking beautiful as always. While you all are on Foal Watch, tomorrow I will be on Ziconic Watch! Going out to see him run. Good luck, baby Z. If Zenyatta has to wait until next week to have the baby, I hope she waits until April 1st. It’s so much easier to remember their birthdays! ;) Enjoy your stay!

Thank you, Team Z, for sharing these wonderful pictures and getting us in the perfect mind set for the coming event. Yes indeed, we want to know about Z’s pasture mate. She remains calm, calming, beautiful, just beautiful. Guess I’ll be changing my sign off to Z4z hugs, in a very short time.

Thank you so much, Team Z, for keeping your super-nervous subjects informed. Zenyatta looks over-the-moon beautiful! She is truly a madonna mare. I was not good in predicting the delivery dates for her other foals, but the number “28” keeps buzzing in my brain for some reason.
susan
Oh My looks like she has already dropped

Zenny looks more than ready for her baby to arrive. Hoping for a Mini Z, but most of all healthy Mom and baby.

Beautiful mare …. looks like she is very happy. But I have to ask (was taught this with my first Shetland 51 years ago) — why is her halter so loose? And actually I was taught never turn a horse out haltered at all. Or maybe they slipped a halter on her for the photo session?
lauraj_cincinnati
Horses on these big KY farms always have a halter on. They’re leather, so they will break if they get stuck on something. With hundreds of horses to manage, there isn’t time for the grooms to put halters on and take them off again. Also, the halters have each horse’s name on them, plus foal tags for the mares in foal. When you have hundreds of horses on the farm and most of them some shade of brown, it would be fairly easy to get them mixed up, especially in an emergency.
The halter isn’t really loose. It fits closely enough around her ears and behind her cheek. It’s only loose at the front.
Kathleen
She looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing. Go Ziconic! Love that beautiful boy.
