We’re still waiting! It’s day seventeen of foal watch, and it could happen any day now. In the meantime here are some more photos from our time here at Lane’s End.
Dear Kathy.A blessed Sabbath to you too.I have just been watching Songbird’s race Mike certainly as a way with the girls! You look to have gotten a lot of rain in CA and must be very happy. It’s very cool and blustery here today.Rule the World has been parading back home in Ireland and Many Clouds (who got best turned out) is happily rolling in the puddles at his Lambourn home. This foal is certainly taking it’s time to arrive.Surely is 2 weeks overdue now.You must have seen Ted E Bear is running for president as well as Mr Fibbs.Trump or Clinton have no hope!!!.Enjoy your day.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Dear Max.I am and always will be fiercely proud to be Welsh/British.I know the hereditary system has a lot of faults and the sun set on our empire many moons ago but I cannot bear people who criticize our monarchy and our traditions.I know a lot of peeps in the UK would love a republic but me never. And the North of Ireland continues to be part of the UK.We have had a troubled history with Ireland but as things go it seems to be improving especially after Her Majesty’s visit in 2011.One must always learn forgiveness is good for the soul and the healing process has begun for the majority. We look to the future.Sheena
No one here as far I know ever tries to criticize the British system of government. We’re interested in horses not politics. You mentioned however that Mullins should get a honorary title from your Queen for winning the British training title, if he does. The Irish constitution prevents that because the Irish accept like the US that their people have no need for class titles. Horses on the other hand or hoof are clearly superior everywhere.
Dear Max.You should read some of the comments in the daily mail if there is a royal story printed.I know the Americans always respect and admire Her Majesty as do the majority of Brits Bob Geldof got an honorary knighthood but Willie lets the horses do the talking. You misunderstood my post I meant the British who are critical of the monarchy and our traditions.Sheena

The strength of democracy is being able to discuss things like changing the system openly. Freedom of speech is a great thing. And don’t throw in the towel yet on the racing title. Nicholls isn’t finished. I read an article about Silvi. Paul doesn’t understand what made him stop in the Grand National. The horse wasn’t hurt and he did not bled. He just stopped racing on his own. Moose behavior may be spreading far and wide. In my opinion, horses know best. Zenyatta, we wait.
Zenyatta, Racing Queen and Queen of Drama is loving the attention she so deserves I am hoping she will have an April 10 foal, since it’s my birthday. Thanks to the Mosses and Lane’s End for allowing us to be part of the life of the Queen
Hi there. I am having fun reading all the blogs and enjoying the wonderful pictures. I didn’t know horses would eat bananas. I used to feed my horse celery. He like that. I check this site often.
Thanks Team Z for the cute video of Zenny’s Birthday Celebration. Watched it more than once or maybe twice or um, who’s counting. Hope it warms up in KY before our little boy or girl makes an entrance.
Beautiful Zenny, beautiful Ann! Any second now! ;) Thanks to Kyle, Land’s End and all of
Team Z for the awesome updates, pics and video! What a Happy Birthday for Zenny!
RIP to all that we lost today. I saw the Market Rasen incident and feared the worst when I did not see ME get up. It breaks my heart when I see this happen. More Angels in heaven.
Thank you to Marshall, Judy Berube, Ann NC and Sheena for the birthday wishes. It’s been a great birthday so far and would be even better if Queen Z delivers before midnight. Happy Sunday to all.
Huge congratulations to Danny Willett the Yorkshire man who has won the Masters at Augusta and gets to wear the green jacket.Jordan Speith had a quadruple bogey when in the lead,Danny has just become a dad and it’s his wife’s birthday so celebrations all round.Sheena
Dear Sandy.Great finish.I’m a night owl is 12.45am over here!!!I did feel sad for Jordan though but he is young and will learn to cope with the pressure.Sheena
Dear Judy.Poor Betsy is trying to tear her bandages off in the night they are doing all they can to control her pain. Some idiotic people want Viktor to post a selfie they don’t believe she exists!!She is having more surgery this week but she has a strong will to live.Hundreds were out to welcome Rule the World home today Mouse Morris was quite overwhelmed.Waiting to hear the good news about Jordan.Maya has laid her 3rd egg but still we wait for Zenyatta to foal!Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank Bentley and all the sweeties.Love and hugs Sheena.X
Prayers for Betsy: Happy for RTW. A cat has been found; Peggy trying to determine if it is Jordan. Will let you know when I know more. Hoping Z’s baby comes tonight. Love and Hugs, JB, LM, PC, HT, Cap. Herc, Frank, Bentley and all the Sweeties
Goodnight Queen Zenyatta

Dear Mama Z,
Just checking in again before I go to bed.
Prayers are being sent to heaven for you & your baby to come as well as for Violet & her baby. May God watch over all of you and keep you safe.
May God bless all creatures & humans as well as every living thing on earth, especially all who need it most.
Dear Ann and Jerry: What are you doing to occupy your wait? At least when I’m on foal watch, I’m home and snooze during the (many) off hours. :-) I know the Lane’s End crew (bless them! ) have it covered — so to speak ;-) — but I can’t help but wonder what you’re doing to occupy the time. Going to the races? Checking on your other lovely horses? Dealing with business? (I’m sure of that!) Waiting is tough enough at home, I can’t imagine it “on the road.”

Unfortunately most people speak the opposite of peace. As a young girl I was in a storm cellar with an old lady who told us all the gory details of past storms. Good morning sweet Zenny. Still no baby. Thought all the rain might bring on a foal. Guess you really are waiting for tax day. A foal would brighten things up on that foul day when many of us finally figure out how much Uncle Sam wants from us.
Dear Rosemary,
Happy Birthday! Missed a post yesterday, but hope you had a wonderful day and will have a great birthday week. My husband told me years ago, that birthdays should be celebrated longer than a day. Hope you celebrate at least all week! Pray God’s many blessings for this ‘new year’ for you. with love and very best wishes, Elizabeth
