Happy Sunday!

Team Z arrived at Lane’s End yesterday to await the arrival of Zenyatta’s third foal. At the farm, horses and people alike are enjoying perfect spring weather, green grass and sunshine. These photos offer a glimpse of how we spent our weekend.

    Some interesting info from “The Old Farmers’ Almanac” regarding April’s full moon (April 15):

    Full Moon Names
    April’s Full Moon, known as the FULL PINK MOON, heralds the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring flowers. It is also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and the Fish Moon.

    Pink Moon? Moss pink flowers? HInt, hint, hint!

      Thank you Barbara! April can be kinda cruel, too. I remember when I was a kid I had a birthday party cancelled because of a blizzard! What a downer! We actually had a dusting of snow during the night, but it is gone now!

    As usual, Zenny looks fantastic and is always happy to see Ann. Tonight will be a very special occasion, a lunar eclipse, and a most appropriate time for Zenny’s new foal to arrive. Vic has her fingers and toes crossed, her guess is for the very early hours of the 15th. Very nice to see Life Is Sweet and Zenny together but I always wonder how Tasty Temptation is.

    I guessed the 18th but I really hope it’s sooner (wow, pink moss//moon filly, eclipse)…I keep checking in. If I told my friends the number of times I check this site they would definitely think I’m crazier than they thought! Ha! So, I’m not telling them, only my family of Zsters would understand.

    Coz’ new official fb page has over 7000 likes in about 6 hrs…..Zenny “love buttom” just made 6000….on this site…..I think folks are missing it when they log on on mobile devices…..when first coming to Zennys blog….the button is in the lower left of the first page…..once you visit the blog or forum or store….that page is gone til next log on…
    On my kindle or phone….I had to scroll down to see it….

    Zenyatta, LOVE YOU!! Hmmm pink moss, that is intriguing. I would love your 3rd to be a filly and look very much like you!! Just think The Queen and her princess!!

    Today is April 14,2014 ….. Also my Birthday !! I was hoping to hear the news that Zenyatta would have delivered a beautiful foal today but the night is still young :)
    i think of her everyday and admire her so much<she truley is a magnificant creature!!

    On the forum side and Zennys Tribe on fb…..it seems there was a false report that Z had foaled a filly by Pulpit….
    …..all knew instantly something was fishy….
    however……if Z had a “celestial” date with P…..they would have had to hold a seance….
    hmmmmmmm …
    That was just my initial thought….”Mr Front” would be affronted …..
    I know….I know…..I apology ahead of time…

      That was just a mix up with Tapit. The story was all about 13Z and his birth on April 1. It even had a picture of Red with Z. Also said that Z was getting more beautiful as time passes. Cannot argue with that.

    @Sheena. While we wait for the new arrival, there is some good news from Moosie. A woman asked him if he will ever race again. His answer: Hope so.
    Let’s hope so too that his peeps will keep him in training. Compared to others, Moosie is the lightest raced top class race horse on the planet.
    Free the Moose! Neigh!
