Happy Tuesday!

Planning our upcoming Zenyatta.com celebration has been loads of fun, and we can’t wait to announce the details later this week. If you’ll be at the races, you don’t have to worry about missing out on the fun—we have you covered. Just don’t forget to take lots of pictures so you can share them with us on Sunday!

    Sorry I assumed 13LIS was a boy; my bad! She’s a lovely gray filly. What a perfect friend for our ‘Red’ for now anyway. And their moms are best buds too. Perfect.

      She’s had three foals: 2011 by Smart Strike, 2012 by Bernardini, and this little grey filly is by (you guessed it!), Tapit.

        As I’m sure you noticed, she has been bred to the same studs as Zen but she was bred back to Tapit for 2014.

    Thank you for the pictures of the family. Zenyatta looks as if she is thinking “I am the queen of all I survery.” Little Red Fuzzy Tail is getting so big and tall. I agree with the others who have said he looks as if he is going to be a big boy. Glad he has a friend to play with.

    Wonder what happened with Coz’s chestnut friend who was never identified for us?

        Dear Judy B.,
        Take good care of yourself and rest your back. It isn’t good when your back is hurting — makes you feel bad all over, quite incapacitating. Time and rest will work their magic ( not as quickly as we would like, however).

    Bonfire The olympic gold medal winning dressage star has died at the age of 30yrs,He was ridden by Anky Van Grunsven and suffered from Cushing’s disease.He dances across the Heavens now RIP hugs Sheena

      I have always loved watching the dressage and show jumping events.
      I remember a Canadian show jumper ridden by Ian Miller called Big Ben.
      Loved watching that horse jump. Just recently got into dressage by watching
      Carl Hester series on HRTV over here.

    Oooooo–these photos are WONDERFUL!!! Love the one of our Queen–she looks so regal,and so happy. She seems to get only more beautiful as time goes by!

    And–Little Big Red—WOW–he is SO amazing—I just want to hug him!!! It seems natural that he would stay pals with LIS13-since they were together with their moms—it must have made the transition easier,having each other to hang out with and talk to.

    We had so much fun with Barnaby and Traveller on Sunday—it was the last day of our Indian Summer so we went down to ride after church—leaving household chores undone because the weather was due to change drastically later that very day. It was absolutely gorgeous in East Fork with the autumn colors glowing in the warm sunshine. I rode Barnaby with just his halter to make him happy and he was so good. Sue took a little video on my new digital camera,bought for the BC,so I will have a little to show the Zsters who are there. Traveller was in fine form too–she is doing so well since her visit with the horse psychic–it really IS amazing! After we rode,we went to see the movie The Summit at the 2:30 matinee. When we came out of the theatre at about 4:30,we were in a different world!! The skies were all gray–the temperature had dropped many degrees and you could see the storm clouds brewing in the mountains. THIS morning there was snow on the ground!! Luckily,it melted by noon–hope we don’t get more for a couple of weeks–don’t want to drive to Boise Thursday after work in snow!!! Will fly out Friday morning and meet up with the Zsters Friday night for dinner in Arcadia. I thought I would get there in time for the last few races,but I think the train trip and connections out to Arcadia will make it too late for that,so will try to catch everyone at the restaurant—can’t wait!! It’s all going to be sio exciting–won’t really believe it’s happening ’til we’re wheels up!

    Wow!!!!! Our Queen Z is resplendent as usual. PrinZling looks so GREAT!!! Lane’s End is beautiful!! Thank you for rewarding me after a 12+ workday!

    Looking forward to the celebration. I will be at Secretariat’s Meadow for the celebration there. Let us hope all our pretty horses stay safe and sound at the BC and leave us truly breathless!!!!

    What a lovely surprise to see these wonderful photos of Mama Z and her weanling. Extra special to see his best buddy is LIS13 – A full circle as the Mom’s were best friends in California. Both are just such handsome boys.

    Thank you for the photographs and really appreciate your posts on the blog during this very busy Breeder’s Cup week. Zenyatta we will miss you. As exciting as it will be, there will never be another “What a performance, one we will never forget”.

    Zenyatta’s “Look of Eagles” has turned into “Look of the Queen Mother”. She is so beautiful, and I have a feeling, will be an awesome broodmare.

    Only a few weeks left and I can go home for Christmas. I am so tired of instant Asian food and cafeteria blah. I want my mommy’s amazing food. :-(

    Paynter is retiring to Winstar, and right as I am transferring to Kentucky. It is a sign for me to go! (As if Zenyatta and Kitten’s Joy weren’t enough motivation to move compounded with the worsening college conditions.)

        I have decided and I already talked to their admissions people. Most of my credits will transfer if I make over a C in every class. Now just the money situation to deal with, but I am remaining optimistic; for my sake and my parents. They’re already dreading it, especially my mom, and somehow she fails to understand what “Mom, I got this under control” means. I don’t know why she thinks I can’t do it…

    have made picks for both Distaff and Classic …..
    have played Winstars game….pick two per race….you can play with their free membership…so no cost…
    and…
    have played breeders cup game….of course…that would be picking a “deca-fecta”… top 10 in order…but who knows…since my top choice probably wont get many votes…
