Boy what a bad week for our beloved Tbreds. First Kauto then Chromey, then Lady Eli and Main Sequence. So, so sad. Hope some of them can heal and be back to normal so we don’t lose all of them. Sending healing prayers.
Sue, The Whitney, Oh No. My sweet beautiful Lea is training up to that one. He doesn’t need the kind of competition Honor Code will provide. But safe trip to both of these guys!
What terrible news. I got a cold chill when I read about Lady Eli. Prayers for all of our suffering equines. Earlier this week I met a lovely woman that just moved here from Lexington, Kentucky. She was finding the adjustment difficult. Her sister’s husband had passed away and she moved to be near her. In a small town it’s difficult to find your niche. Until she does I suggested she visit Zenyatta.com because when I feel down or lonely it’s like a warm blanket on a cold day. Picked my last blueberries of the year.
Happy birthday to Mrs Ann Moss. We are so grateful for this website where we can express our love for Zenyatta,Coz and Zi and look forward to Z16.As I am sure you know we all love the natural world and all our 4 legged friends in general and thank you for allowing us to talk about almost everything on here.Enjoy your special day.hugs SheenaX
Happy Birthday dear Ann! Hope it is a wonderful day full of laughter and love. Please know how grateful we here on the blog are to you and Jerry for allowing us to share your TREASURE, Zenyatta and her boys. Blessings on your special day.
Dear Max.I expect there will be an official announcement about CC soon.Rumours abound on social media!I read about the incident on the beach at RI.We had a long election campaign over here because of our fixed term parliament. As you know a Prime Minister could always call an election usually when things were going well for the government!Did you hear about Nicola and the SNP refusing to support an amendment to the fox hunting bill.Dave wanted more hounds to flush out a fox.I well remember Dave and his gang pleading with the Scottish to stay in the UK last September. Now he’s mad with them for interfering. Can’t have it both ways. Anyway hunting is barbaric there are far more humane ways to control foxes. The French were celebrating today even Treve is on her holidays she looks superb and CDA posted a pic of himself snoozing in the hay.I haven’t heard yet if Golden Horn will run in the big Ascot race on July 25th he may wait for the Juddmonte.Who’.d have guessed of a horse called John Wayne!!!!Sheena.
Thanks for the reference to Cirrus snoozing. I love photos like that of horses sleeping flat out. Doesn’t happen all that often. Like it that CDA only sleeps with one eye closed.
I’m always on the side of foxes. Most of them are chestnuts.
Waiting for JudyB to explain all about the RI beach explosion.
These rodeo horses are great athletes. Only hope that they all get as good care as John Wayne and his buddies. These are very hardworking horses.
CDA snoozing in the hay made me think of Life Is Sweet. Going to check and see if I can find anything on her babies.
Would you believe, State officials have indicated that they cannot say exactly what caused the explosion on Salty Brine Beach on Saturday past. They’ve indicated there is no sign of foul play. I have linked an article from today’s Hartford Currant. It occurred to me, although it’s probably far fetched, that it might have been some remnant of fireworks that had a delayed reaction. They do have fireworks displays at most of the beaches on the 4th of July. I wonder if one of them jetted off track and embedded in the sand and then in the heat of the days we’ve been having here, activated and exploded. If that is the case though, you would think the searchers would have found some evidence of the firework material. Very strange. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Sheena, About an hour ago (12:00noon), I watched Celyn(W2) devour a small fish herself, without mom’s help, mom and siblings could only looked on. Glesni attempted to get the fish back but, Celyn pecked at her but, Glesni did not peck at her. She is very fiesty, not wanting to share at all. I guess that is lesson #15. Imagine treating your mom that way. Celyn even pecked at Merin and Brenig when they tried for some of “her” fish. Pause…(1:49pm) Glesni has brought another fish and is feeding, I think, Merin & Brenig. I cannot tell for sure. Celyn is keeping to herself, She definitely acts like she will be a survivor. Ryan Moore could be sidelined until the autumn according to mum Jayne,.Although all his tests came back clear he is extremely sore and is going to spend the next few weeks resting.Heard the Coburns have sold their share in CC to Taylor Made and CC will arrive in Kentucky later this week. This horse needs peace and quiet to heal.Hugs Sheena.
