    November 24 Cherokee Devotional

    Since Di Ka No He SGi-Di Go We Li SGi is a Cherokee, it is a curious thing why she was chosen to wear a Pilgrim costume in the school Thanksgiving play. Someone thought the little white apron and a prim little hat was proper for this dark-skinned child. But who has not stepped out of character at some point? Is it not true that unknowing people cast us in roles we couldn’t fit in a million years? And as strange as it seems, they may never learn how wrong they were. At a time of counting blessings, we can say it does not matter what costume someone tries to fit us with. If we know who we are and the Great Spirit knows our voices, who can separate us from our real identity? Only we can-but we won’t.

    Dear Kathy.Indeed,it is a very bright day here in Wales today.Marty must be having a hoolie in Heaben!I love his messages and Mondays will be called Marty Day in future!L shall eat some cake for him with my cup of tea.

    We will be listening for Marty’s messages from heaven, bless him. Mango was resting yesterday because she gets tired using her Freedom Wheels so much. Amen, I hope she posts today. Congratulations to Fubu on all those likes, and happy travels to him! I think Zoe’s teams all won. I always love Zoe’s reports of her Therapy visits. They may be off this week, though, due to Thanksgiving. We’ll have to wait and see. Max and Mia are precious. Boo and Buddy as charming as always. Love their red shoes! Ray and his bananas. I do believe he’d live on just bananas if he could! I did see that kitten intimidating that gold ball. So funny! Yes, i remember checking out James and Bob. Will look for Alexander. He’s really handsome if he looks like My Miss Kitty Face! I took today and tomorrow off so I can get started on my holiday preparations and I’ll also get started on my Christmas cookies…bake now and freeze for later. Sugar cookies, peanut butter cookies and maybe a batch of Snickerdoodles. Have a fantastic Monday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

    Yesterday my friend and I went to see California Chrome’s work at Del Mar. He looked pretty darn sharp. He has my heart but there is always room for so many more.

    And the news about Sarbonne….. Just the best. Old Friends is going to just love having him and vice versa.

    On Sunday there was a beautiful race by a son of Giacomo. His name is Jomello, I believe. Such a handsome boy. Love that late kick. Not a big stakes race, but a really wonderful race. Rafael Bejarano had a good day at Del Mar yesterday.
    BTW – “these pictures” my typing skills………

    Coz looks stunning and resembles Ebby, which is one of the reasons The Mosses chose Bernardini. A shame she was not able to perform better. Just saw a work for her in Virtual Stable.

    A little behind but want to say how much I enjoyed the video of Zenny saying Goodbye at Hollywood Park.Thanks Abigail.It is always so good to see her again and yes,brings a tear to the eyes and a warmth to the heart.

    BGG,I loved watching Chrome work out on the turf,am really rooting for him and hope he has enough time to adjust. He is so amazing in mind,spirit and body.Go Chrome!
    The sculpture of the pit pony Sultan in Wales was spectacular.

    Thanks for this wonderful news that Sorbonne has come to Old Friends. I went to Sarbonne’s facebook page and there is a video there that shows him “Surveying his happy kingdom.He’s loving it”. Brought happy tears to my eyes,very worthwhile if you have a minute. Hats off to Diane Reischi for purchasing him and donating him to Old Friends.She is there with him while he adjusts to his new home and you can feel the love.
    I just found out El Vino worked with Zenny too,do you know what happened to this horse? Let’s hope for the best.
    I enjoyed the History of Old Friends book and would like to go there one day too.

    May El Vino rest in peace.
    It is good to hear that so many horses are going to Old Friends.
    It was so great to see Sarbonne ,sniffing, gazing all around,checking out every corner, trotting abit and then a little canter in a circle and finally,down near Diane for some good grass.Happy days!!!The grass and large trees in his paddock are gorgeous.
    I wish all the rescues and senior sanctuaries all the best-there are so many good people out there.

    Oh happy day. Danny Boy has tracked me down. I got a long letter today from The Danimal himself with a picture included. He looks superb. Dan says that he is getting lots of support from his fans. He also says that he enjoys getting cards. Likes “cute” cards especially. Knew it. Am now getting his present together for Christmas. I love that horse. He really is the most interesting horse in the world.

        Danny is getting a case of peppermints, the kind that are wrapped. Horses love it when the peppermints are unwrapped for them. They hear that wrapper sound and know that goodies are on the way. Uncle Mo used to love sucking and chewing on his peppermints. Danny will let me know if he likes these peppermints and then I’ll get more or others for him for his B-day. I love this horse.

      This letter was all handwritten or rather hoof written in ink, cursive not typed. Amazing that Danny took the time to pen a personal reply. You do not see that too often these days. Extraordinarily kind. This horse and his peeps are amazing.

    Coz looks wonderful. What a beautiful horse. Here’s wishing him a successful racing career. The following poem is for our lost Princess:

    Somewhere in time’s immortal space,
    there must be some sweet-pastured place,

    where creeks rush on, and tall trees grow,
    a peaceful place where horses go,

    for sure as the love that guides my pen,
    I know great horses live again.

    spare El Vino, spare Dubai, when i saw video of kentucky derby 2014 and preakness 2014 i understood, that Chromy has long fetlock bones and joints, they work well on soft or sloppy course, so when Chromy breeze near left fence or breeze on dry hard course in circle of horses, i always are afraid about Chromy that time, Coz its well that you care of your legs in photo, beautyfull Zenny Ziconic Coz and mates kiss your soft noses, lil 14z im remembering you

    November 25 Cherokee Devotional

    Our friendship has been strong through many seasons, but this time brings you to mind so vividly. Why must we rely on such changes to remind us that we are friends, not acquaintances. All is important-the way we laughed together, the times we comforted each other, the tears we shared and the deep understanding. This time, like no other, enhances those things that make us akin. It surely must be the hope, the vibrant life of power unused-the power of love to transcend time and space and lost connections. It is the same power, the Great Spirit, that is all good, all peace, all ours by divine right. It is a precious partnership between friends.

    These beads are a road between us. Take hold at one end, I will at the other, and hold fast.
