CONGRATULATIONS to all winners yesterday!! I’m especially proud of Honor Codes return to the track after his 6 month injury hiatus. The race video is on Bloodhorse, race 6 at Aqueduct, I can’t post things on here for some reason. He made an amazing move from way off the pace and slipped thru two horses to kick for home…….wow…….what a comeback. Love this boy. Glad there were no horse or jockey injuries yesterday, hope the same holds true today.
He really looked very powerful. I’m glad that I didn’t take him out of my “virtual stable” when he wasn’t able to run in the KY Derby. Hope he is off to a very successful second career attempt!
Dear Carol. Is it Sultan the pit Pony you mean? It’s stunning and is in Caerphilly which is SE wales I’m in Carmarthen the SW.Glad you liked it.Hugs Sheena
Sheena, here is an article about this incredible earth sculpture.
What a memorial to the pit ponies! Hugs, BGG
Massive Horse Sculpture Made from the Earth in Wales
CUBE BREAKER November 22, 2014
This massive figurative sculpture, entitled Sultan the Pit Pony, was created by Welsh artist Mick Petts in Caerphilly, South Wales. The enormous piece of art is comprised of more than 60,000 tons of coal shale, stone, and earth.
It is meant to be a tribute to one particularly beloved pit pony named Sultan who once worked the local mines. The animals were used to haul tubs of ore out of the mines that covered this area, with their work beginning in the mid-18th century and lasting until the final pony was retired in 1999.
When stood upon, one is afforded magnificent views of the landscapes these majestic horses once toiled in and around. Sultan is the largest figurative earth sculpture in all of the United Kingdom, with the majestic beauty stretching more than 200 meters (656ft) from snout to tail. http://www.cubebreaker.com/sculpture-horse-united-kingdom/
All seems to be well for our FB furbabies. Marty reports that there are lots of yogies in heaven. I’m off to get ready for church. Have a blessed Sabbath! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar.
Thanks to someone on the Forum side, I found out that Afleet Alex’s full sister bred by Stonestreet and owned by Mandy Pope is in training. Her name is Afleet Alexsis. With the success of Texas Red, she might be one to watch. She is a 2 year old like Ziconic.
Dear Kathy. The sun is shining in Wales today!!Our ancestors worked hard and always were good humoured!Oh,gosh the message Marty sent from Heaben the tears flowed again.I am sure he is stuffing himself with yogis!Sarah said they can never replace him maybe, one day ,who knows? They were due to have a birthday party tomorrow.A sad day for them,
Fubu is going away for Thanksgiving but had a good report from the doc,has even gained some weight. He’s a fighter!I loved Ray and Jack O playing the snow has disappeared.Such a sad story about Angel Wendy’s mum.Life can be so cruel. She has hit rock bottom and it’s sad she has no one to help her.
Did you see the hilarious video of the horse scared of water on Joey’s page? great end to it!!!Joey and Marty live on!Have a blessed Sabbath..Love and Hugs to you Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.Sheena.Mango was tired yesterday should we worry???
Well go out and catch some rays! I agree…the message from Angel Marty was a real tear-jerker. So sad they didn’t get to celebrate his birthday. Good news from Fubu. Amazing how he just keeps going. Ray and his bruddahs love the snow! Missed the story about Wendy’s mother. Will look for it. Loved the horse and the water video. That girl got two showers! lol Maybe Joey and Marty have met. Bless both of them. Hopefully Mango was tired from a busy social life! Blessed Sabbath. Love and hugs and kisses, Kathy, Holly, Nikko and Sugar.
Dear Max.Fabulous start to Vautour’s chasing career at Navan today! All roads lead to Cheltenham and, maybe, the Arkle.Mullins will decide.Shorty is happy!Sheena.
Thank you so much Dear Team Z for sharing these new photos of Cozmic One! He is surely a stunning young colt and I love how John is taking such care with his early training. I am forever grateful that you continue to share the life of our Queen and her young sons with those of us who love her from afar. We are blessed. Thank you.
Thanks to John and Team Z for the amazing photos of Coz.
It is so good to see him looking so well muscled, gorgeous and happy-all 16,2 of him.
Tully and Ash are doing well.Sending love to all.
Sad news from the Moose,he lost his friend Mission to Mars (Marty)in a fall at Huntingdon yesterday.RIP Marty.Be careful when you return,Moosie, could’nt bear to lose a national treasure.Hugs Sheena.
Marty also shared a father with the Moose. Presenting is their dad. Very great loss for the yard, especially his groom who is a woman. Marty was a good horse. Sorry to hear this news.
RIP Marty, Moose, may your pain be short lived, and may you find another best friend. It is well. Happy Thanksgiving Moose and all your rainbow crowd including your lovely mom.
Max
I would like to know more about his mother. She never raced. She seems to be even more elusive than Moosie.
Dear Max.I didn’t know Presenting was the sire of Marty too.As I am sure you know he is the dad of Denman aka the Tank. What did you think of the Mullins horses this weekend? He has much talent in his yard.Sheena.
The wins are well deserved. Mullins has a personal touch with all of his horses. He knows them in a very detailed way. And his yard is a family operation. The fact that he went to the trouble to put in that long walking ditch so that the horses could cool their feet in clean running water after their workouts tells the tale. And he is modest. He gives all credit to the horses and jockeys. Great sense of humor too. A bite in the butt by The Fly didn’t even upset him.
CoZ, you look so handsome in your strut!!!! Wolf whistles to you. 16.2 hands?!?!? High hooves and three whinnies! Thank you, Mr. & Mrs. Moss, John & Dottie, and Team Zenyatta for keeping us informed. Unfortunately, Zenyatta, I was not one of the lucky ones selected to meet you. However, I hope to do so one day. Take care, Dear Zenyatta.

Hi Z Friends, my Big Girl, Coz, The Redhead and sweet Princess, running up a storm above us I’m sure,
Someone just posted this on FB and I wanted to share it here: Zenny’s goodbye to Hollywood Park. I’d seen other footage of this, but never one this good. Watch for John with his zoom lens in the winner’s circle!
No matter how many times I watch videos of her and see the great photos and posts of her on this blog, it still brings a tear to my eye. Ann Moss always said how blessed they were to have her. I feel blessed that they share her with her beloved fans.
Zenyatta, you are a bridge to the sun where we bask in the light of your beauty that the creator gave to you.
Thanks Abigail. I’ve never seen this one either. I didn’t see John and his zoom lens, but there is a great picture of our Dumpling friend, Karen Gogue, holding her sign in the still shots toward the end of the video!
Kentucky Derby Winner California Chrome Takes Test Drive Over the Turf
tvgnetwork Published on Nov 23, 2014
Kentucky Derby Winner California Chrome worked on the turf this morning live on TVG. It’s a surface Chrome has never worked or raced on, but the work was designed to prove he can handle the lawn. California Chrome is expected to start in next Saturday’s Hollywood Derby in his drive to win Horse of the Year. He’ll likely face the filly Lexie Lou who won Canada’s most famous race, The Queen’s Plate. Watch TVG’s coverage of California Chrome’s test drive over the turf in his pursuit for Horse of the Year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTH7HkkmucM&feature=youtu.be

Congratulations to the Mosses & John Sheriffs & team on Keri Belle’s win in the 4th race at Aqueduct today! She was the best of twelve and led from gate to wire. Manny Franco was her rider & she was his third winner of the day.
John & Team Z, thank you for the pictures of Coz. He looks fabulous! It looks like he has a really long stride. Coz must still be at Belmont because John has had three horses race at Aqueduct in the past week. I think his other two horses placed third & fourth last week.
I am looking forward to hearing how Ziconic is doing at the Mayberrys’. I wonder if “Monty”, Z’s full brother is stabled near him.
Wonderful win for Kerri Belle’s. Love n congrats to Ann & Jerry. I am so thrilled to see and hear about Coz. He is developing so well like his Mama did; and still growing.
