Happy Wednesday!
November has been quite the month for Team Z. We’ve been busy finalizing the Celebration results, stuffing envelopes, and planning a product launch for the Shop just in time for the holidays (hint, hint).
We’re proud to announce that the first ever Zenyatta.com Celebration raised over $10,000 for Thoroughbred Rehab Center, Inc. We couldn’t be happier with Zenyatta’s fans that contributed by purchasing the event’s signature Celebration Sticker or by bidding in our online auction. All of the stickers were mailed yesterday, and auction items will be shipped by end of the week. Look for yours soon!
As we previously mentioned, we decided to pick five winners for our Grand Prize, An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta. A complete list of winners is below.
Our next post will be all about Coz, with photos and video from our trip to Mayberry Farm.
Enjoy!

Dear Kathy I know in the US wolves are not a favourite animal but I just love to hear them howling same as coyotes.Lovely pic of the 3 bruddahs in close up today and adorable video of Joey eating his indoor grass,I used to do the same for Katie in the winter he reminds me so much of her.The lengths we go to for our pets!Love and hugs to you and Holly ,Sugar and Nikko. have a lovely week Sheena

The wolf is such a beautiful animal, perhaps that is why my son fell in love with the german sheperd because as a child he had loved the wolf. I think there is somewhat of a resemblance.
Incidentally Mia, the german sheperd has recovered quite nicely from the major surgery she had after injesting pipe cleaners in garbage. The grandkids have to be careful and my son too!! Geez, her life could have been ended so short.
Recently while I was up North in Wi., our neighbor friend told us that back on another friends land, Glenn must have 40 acres woods etc., his grandson and a friend were out into the paths that Glenn created throughout his land. They may have been bow hunting. Three wolves encountered them, they did not run but started to circle the young men. Of course they began to worry, but eventually the three wolves went their way. I always thought that the wolf generally ran away from man. Anyone know more of this? Needless to say, they are so beautiful and should be left alone.

Sally B.–so relieved to hear that Mia is doing well. Hugs to you both.

Sally B.,
Great news about Mia!!
Cheers and hugs
Terry Crow
It is great that Mia has recovered. The more a wild animal comes in contact with humans, the less wary they are of them.

Hi Sheena,
It certainly gets you back to nature hearing wolves or coyotes howling. Yes, loved the pic of Ray and his bruddahs. So handsome! I got a kick out of Joey eating the grass. He was really chowing down! Did you see Boo this morning? Another adorable shot of him. It would be impossible for Boo to take a bad picture.
Happy Monday. Hugs from me, kisses from The Pack. Kathy

Sheena. They are politically controversial also. Canadian wolves were invited to live in Idaho in the 1990s. These are huge wolves of over 150 lbs, and they started to attack livestock in packs because that is what wolves do. It is not a good idea to mess with Canadian timber wolves. Maybe listening to wolf calls is the best strategy.
Terry Crow
Max-I have perfected a wolf call but it is more of a whistle and I do not think that it is appreciated when I use it.

Dear Sheena, JB and Zfans,
Thanks for refreshing my memory about the Clunes series. Have watched a few, beautiful. Our station aired them, at a not so convenient time, so missed most.
Love the dogs on Doc Martin. The big brown one and now a small white spunky one, both adore him and try to win his heart. No wonder I like Martin, he is a huge animal lover too!
Will catch up watching the videos here, thanks to all.
Hoping, Papa Charlie is NOT playing Blanket Bandit now…BRBRRRRRR!
Zenny, you have a built in furnance. Z13, enjoy that fuzzy new winter coat.
Gobble, gobble, awhoooooo!

Thanks to all of you for your prayers and concern. Since I am the only person in town, I guess I get the bulk of the caregiving. You can divorce them but they stay in your life forever if you have a child. As a Christian, I have to step up to the plate.
But on to other things. BGG, I loved the story of Megan and Alfie. Brought a few tears yet was so special. Thank you for posting.
Sorry sweet Zenyatta, I voted for Muchie in the Vox Populi! Does that surprise anyone?
Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you all.

Dear Max I believe they have wolves in Yellowstone, saw a wonderful series about the park a few years ago. The raw power of nature,if we humans just understood how to live with the wonderful wildlife that’s around us it would make for a better world.hugs Sheena
Marshall (NC broad)
Dear Sheena,
You are SO right! Our wonderful wildlife and domestic cousins have much to teach us if we would but observe and learn.
Enjoy your posts very much. Hugs
Max
Sheena. Yes, those are Canadian timber wolves from Alberta, very beautiful, but also dangerous.
Terry Crow
You are correct, Max. Leave it to the BLM to mess up what should have been a harmonious re-introduction of wolves to Yellowstone.

@all: I hate to be so stupid, but I was away for so long that I don’t even know if the HOY honors, etc. have been awarded yet. If not, does anyone have the date? Thanks in advance.
Janet Newman
Barbara,
Have not heard which horses are being named and the HOY is announced in January but I do not know the exact date.
Vicki B. near Hollywood Park
Barbara, I’m pretty sure Zenny’s HOY was on Jan. 17.

Hi Judy B, I was able to watch the video of the dog rescued and the autistic boy. This was so heartwarming!!
To all Zsters, I have not been able to read much. What I miss is the heartwarming stories, I miss knowing whether someone needs a special wish or prayer, I miss gaining knowledge from all of you, I have missed Hovis and other humor and I always miss Zenyatta.

November 26 Cherokee Devotional
If you want to know the meaning of peace, go down to a little stream and sit quietly. Sense the timelessness. Watch the water as it ripples past roots and over stones, and know it is washing away stress and worry and unhappiness. Close your eyes and listen to the wind rustling the leaves, and hear a bird chirp or a squirrel bark. Be so quiet you can hear the deer’s hooves dragging through a carpet of autumn leaves and the hoot of an owl in the dark part of the woods.
Be still and silence the fears that try to invade this time. Touch the earth and feel its rhythm and its vibrations. See how it restores itself after being turned upside-down. God made it for us, so receive it as a gift.
The Great Spirit made these mountains and great rivers for us, and all this Land.

What a way to relax. Just looking at the pics of Zenyatta and Coz makes me feel so peaceful. Somewhere in the world, all is right.
Got some good news for the ex. Insurance is picking up part of the tab for the facility he is staying in. Didn’t know if that was going to happen or not and paying on your own can break you very quickly. Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.
Terry Crow
shirlee-You are right about paying on your own causing financial problems. Big bucks involved. The average person has no idea about facility costs because it is rare when the patient is actually aware of them.
Barbara Wood (Texas)
@Janet Newman and Vicki B.–thanks for the heads up about HOY. Hugs.

Dear Kathy Have never understood how people can enjoy lazing on a packed beach on a hot day ,far better to be sitting by that little stream just listening!!Am a country girl at heart.Joey’s pic reminded me so much of my Katie today ,that’s exactly how she used to sleep and Ray was snuggling down as well! Boo’s followers are growing. Love and Hugs to you and the pack. Sheena

Hi Sheena,
I, too, prefer the woods, streams, lakes, rivers and the quiet in the forest. Your Katie must have been a beautiful, loving cat. Love Ray and Boo & Buddy so much, and love hearing about their antics.
Have a wonderful day.

Sheena. The timber wolves have travelled to Longleat. Here is a video. They are remarkably well behaved. Do you think that Moosie might run if he saw one with Nigel at the start of a race?

Dear Sheena,
Thanks so much! My old puppies seem to be doing quite well. Reilly continues on the medicine to help his heart cope with the leaky mitral valve, and Huey gets Rimadyl when needed for his stiff, achy joints. Appetites are very good!
RE: Thanksgiving — we on this side of “the pond” are extremely grateful for you! Glad
you are part of the wonderful world of Zenyatta!!

To our Z Family…safe travels during this holiday week. The weather is pretty bad along the east coast so we hope everyone is warm, safe and enjoys everything this special time of year brings. To our marvelous Zenny and her team, we give thanks to you for keeping us connected to our horse of a lifetime.
Max
Sheena. Moosie has tweeted that Nigel says that Moosie will soon be “sprinting up the creek.” The Moosester doesn’t know what that means. Do you?
Sandy (Northeast Ohio)
To Zenyatta who brought us all together, our precious colts Z12 and Z13, everyone at Team Z and Lane’s End, and everyone who posts here (on both sides of “the pond”), THANK YOU for SO much and Happy Thanksgiving!!
The link below is to a medley of 3 favorite Thanksgiving hymns that I posted last year. Many people said they liked hearing them so it seemed worth doing again. They bring back lots of memories for me, and I wanted to share them with all of you.
Hugs to all,

Dear Max Surely he’s not going to take on Sprinter Sacre in the Tingle Creek at Sandown???poor Moosie Will he or wont he? will Nigel bring out his bell??That will be a race worth seeing just for the start alone.I always used to enjoy watching “Animal Park” from Longleat ,remember wolf wood and 2 gorillas lived on an island in the middle of the lake ,I believe Nico the male is still alive aged52yrs Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.Enjoy.Hugs Sheena
Max
Sheena. Well, well, Moosie against SS again. He was second the last time out and the Moose might be ready for a win. I would like to see it done. Maybe Nigel should forgo the bell and get one of those wolves to chase the Moose to the finish line. Moose are prey for these wolves, although I would not like to see Moosie turn into a wolfy dinner. Thanks for the good wishes. I am looking forward to Black Friday. Need a new iPad as mine looks like Kauto has been using it. There is another thing. When is Steve coming home?
Ann NC
Moosie has had his eyes on this race. He is out to top, SS.
Come on, Moosie,

Thanks for posting the beautiful card.
Wishing all Z family a very blessed and safe Thanksgiving.
