dear sign our frankie did well at woodbine yesterday with joshua tree and siyouma winning the ep taylor gerard mosse was riding reckless abandon in newmarket on saturday a very fiesty son of american stallion exchange rate weather still quite miserable over here hugs sheenaX
Ann NC
Looks like Josh tree will go to Japan. He controlled that race, for sure…quite a guy he is!
Hope your weather improves,Sheena.
signofthetimes; President of Texas RN Chapter
Dear Sheena,
I saw Joshua Tree, what a talent, Frankie rode him superbly. Sooo very glad he won
for the second time at Woodbine. I think they said that he is only the second horse
to win the race twice. Siouma’s win was also very impressive. Sooo very much love the Euro fillies/mares they really know how to beat the boys !!!
I wish for you that the weather gets better, but for Frankel I hope that it stays terrible and that the ground is heavy and Sir Henry and owner decide to scratch him and he
comes back next year to race !!!! We can only hope. I have heard those rainy UK days
are definately challenging. Does everyone bring umbrellas to the races???

I have never left. I am in the process of relocating as I was notified that I was to get my old job back. I have been in training for the past week in order to catch up on seven years of rules and regulations which have been promulgated since I retired. I have not had access to a computer until now. I do think that it is time you elected a new GP as to think that I was gone never to return is rather insulting. Others have been gone for awhile without this reaction. Those who helped me recently need not worry as all will be settled soon. Those who have my email address are welcome to contact me.

O= Oh No! You are, and always will be, head grandpa! You are so nice and knowledgable! I would hate to see a member of my Z family feel bad. :-( I had confidence you would be back. :-) Z’s power is too strong to keep people away for too long.
Louise Castello
Terry, I had confidence you would be back, too, I was just worried because we knew you had had some problems. Glad you’re still here!

Thank goodness you are alright ….I am sorry if you took my post wrong….someone had said you were gone .. .you are such a great part of this site …it would just not be the same without you….and the proof of that is that no word from you for a couple days….and we all missed you
……
Hope this posts right ….they are all being scrambled lately
signofthetimes; President of Texas RN Chapter
Dear TC,
Sooo very glad that you are back. I think there was some miscommunication
and I am just sooo very glad that you are back at your job and boning up
on new things. YOU WILL ALWAYS BE THE GRAND POO BAH AND REMEMBER THAT !!! WAITING PATIENTLY FOR YOU TO GET SETTLE AND START THE REDNECK JOKES AGAIN.
Sooo very glad that all is well and you are back on track, looking forward to seeing the skunk hat and you at the BC.
Marshall (NC broad)
YAY, Terry!
Great news! Hope relocation goes smoothly. How lucky for your old employer that they have you back! How sensible they apparently are, too.
Please don’t feel insulted; it is just that we care and missed you so much!
Cheers and hugs!

Don’t go anywhere Terry!! I was so excited that I got to meet you at Santa Anita a couple of weeks ago with dear Trina. I have not been on here in a while, untill this week. For some reason I was having a difficult time posting. I would start to type and then in mid sentence it would just go blank. Sure it was user error :) So…just been hanging out on Facebook and Zenny Tribe, Prayers for Paynter etc. Where will you be relocating to? Still near Trina and the LA dumplings? Hope to see you soon…. From your San Diego Redneck pal.

TC – I missed several posts because of family health problems (two-legged and four-legged family) and so I didn’t know you hadn’t posted for a while. I hope all is well with you. I am trying to adjust to my situation and hope to be back on track soon myself. Looking forward to BC! I get out Zenyatta’s races to review more often now for inspiration.
BC is fast approaching. Hope to see you and everyone there.

Dear Dumplings and Z-sters:
Since many of you have asked, we wanted to let you know that TC is in transit to a new location and we are sorry to say we do not have further details.
Perhaps he will see fit to resurface in the future and fill us all in.

I really want to see the James Bond movie coming out. It looks awesome!
So my dressage coach is looking for a jumper! I get to help her, that’s an honor and a huge excitement at the same time!! Yay!
My Golden pictures were deleted for some reason… Hmm, maybe the links were broken.
Louise Castello
They are on page 1! I keep trying to tell you but my comments are getting lost! Sorry!
Pati- gradually losing sleep over BC!!!!!
Hmm, it seems my phone is glitchy. My posts are not showing up.
Let’s try again.
My dressage coach will be looking for a jumper starting next week. I get to help her look and I may get to also help her pick the horse! This is a huge honor for me and I’m excited that she trusts me enough to give me this kind of opportunity!
So all the golden retrievers were very well-behaved over the weekend. Of course, Bowman being the puppy that he is, decided that at 3:45 in the morning, he wants to go play. So, in short, I got no sleep over the weekend. But it was worth every second, and I would gladly do it again. If it wasn’t for the woman’s insistence, I would’ve never taken payment for sitting with her dogs; I just love them too much to need to be paid to stay with them.
I will be saving up my funds and help pitch in for my plane ticket to the Breeders’ cup and if I have enough left, and of course that it is allowed, I may even place my first bet at the racetrack! Of course, I will be signature prowling with a few fellow Z lovers from the forum. It’s going to be one of the best weekends of my life!!
I am tossing and turning at night, and anxiously awaiting for the day to arrive. I can’t wait to meet everyone there and I hope that I will make a good impression on my Z family. I’m really nervous about meeting everyone, and I want to bring some of my newer writing pieces so that everyone can read them. Like I said above, I am losing sleep!!!
Pati- gradually losing sleep over BC!!!!!

Dear Website Moderators — this page is maybe having an indexing problem — comment posts are appearing out of sequential order, with most of the newest comments on today the 15, appearing before a few comments posted on the 13th & 14th. Just a head’s up, that all is not in order. Thanks!
Stephanie in San Diego
Patti…mine just disappear in the middle of typing. At least, untill today when everything is working correctly. Only happens here.
Ann NC
YES!!!! It has a mind of its own!
Zenyatta's Web Team
Hi Everyone,
This strange behavior happens when someone posts a comment that is flagged by our spam filter (most likely because it contains too many links–you can’t post more than 3), and then replies to that comment.
If you see a notice that your comment is awaiting moderation, only you can see that comment, and posting a reply will disrupt the order for everyone.
Hope that makes sense!
Trina Nagele in SoCal
Thanks, Team Z Web Team!

dear ann I am hoping our weather will improve for frankel’s race on saturday do not want rain and heavy going!!!!!!do pray that terry will be alright and get in touch with us again love to moose and goose hugs sheena
signofthetimes; President of Texas RN Chapter
Sheena,
I definately want heavy going and Frankel to be scratched only to race again next year.
Sorry to be so selfish, but I wish he could race for two more years, the mares will always be lining up for him and he has 20 plus years for them.
Don’t want him to race on the heavy going, that French horse, forgot his name
is a heavy going specialist so Frankel may have a hard time accelerating like he ususally does.
Ann NC
Thanks Sheena,
All the bovines were clipped yesterday, ready for their trip to the fair!
Hoping for better weather for you. I hope they do what is best for our guy Frankel!

I have a question….related to absolutely nothing ….Musketier is running this week…I know he loves it and could have retired if he wanted…he chose to continue running..his trainer and owners are letting him and watching him…he has been competing for 7-8yrs….is intact and seems sound ….why is he not a stud prospect? Talk about durability.
harriett (Oklahoma)
OK. I sent in an entry, just before the finish line. I live 1,471 miles from Santa Anita. If by some twist a fate, I should win tickets, I will be there for the Cup. I’m older and more arthritic with each passing year, but I decided it would be a sign from above that I should make the trip. If I don’t win, which is far more likely, as I’m not particularly articulate any more, I will be there in spirit with all my fellow dumplings. Love you all and appreciate all of you. You bring cheer every day! Thank you! —
Martha Harriett

@harriett–you’re not alone in the arthritic department. There’ll be a lot of us. Hugs.

I hope to meet you there, Harriet! By the way, I have a touch of arthritis myself, now that you mention it…
harriett (Oklahoma)
Hey, Trina,
Mine used to be “just a touch,” and I tried to ignore it. It would not have gotten this bad if I had started seeing a rheumatologist several years ago. You might consider seeking treatment now, if you’re not already. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.

Hope you are well too, Judy. I am so proud of you for all you have done for Papa Charlie. Give him a kiss for me, please. Have a wonderful day.

Dear Darlene:
Papa Charlie is doing so well. Saw him on Saturday and will be going back to see him this week. He’s such a sweetheart and he’s bonded wonderfully with Angela. She said he walked by her side from the paddock gate into the barn no lead (like Lava Man) for his late afternoon meal. He’s a real character. Hugs, JB

Tressa MacKelvie
Zenny touches so many people in such a positive, magical way. She made something very special happen for my Dad, and it will be something that I will always cherish for the rest of my days.
I brought my Dad to SA on March 13, 2010 to see her run. It was very difficult for him to walk from the parking lot to the grandstand as his health was beginning to fail He couldn’t understand how a horse could effect a person just by her presence. I got him to walk down to stand by the gift shop. She came around the bend, my Dad said, “Oh–My–Gosh!!” He was IMMEDIATELY wrapped in her magical spell.
I never heard my Dad talk so excited about anything! He had her picture on his desk, read every word of the special Zenyatta Tribute issue, he called me in tears when she lost the BC Classic.
My Dad passed away shortly afterwards. I can only thank Zenyatta for giving me one of the most special times that I was able to share with him my whole life.

A simple book, a simple story, and a simple read … but a touching story in the end … I choaked up with tears … A story of twin foals bonded at birth, separated shortly after and their incredible journeys, across the seas, to once again be reunited, and a miracle of love. A story of the backside, trainers, jockeys, owners, grooms and their love for the powerful Thoroughbed and what they bring into their lives – the kindness, the caring, the courage, and the love … the power of love … the heart and soul of Thoroughbred racing. “Stride for Stride” by Thomas Marshall
