Happy Friday!
It’s going to be quite an exciting weekend for all of Zenyatta’s fans! We just added a new photo gallery with lots of recent images of 12Z. We’ll continue to add to this gallery as he gets older. Check it out here.
Additionally, a life-sized bronze statue of our Queen Z will be unveiled at Santa Anita Park tomorrow. We will be streaming the events live on Zenyatta.com courtesy of HRTV! The stream will be posted this evening, with the ceremony happening tomorrow at 12 pm PDT.
Check back soon!

Ann and Jerry, you always make certain the fans are involved in the important parts of Zenny’s life. How wonderful to arrange a live feed of the ceremony unveiling the statue of the magnificient, unforgettable Queen.
LE, the latest pictures of our Prince are fabulous. You guys always seem to show us the very best of Zenny and her son.

Well, thanks to a fellow Dumpling, I finally found the TC GP grand birthday poem. It is amazing. Wishing you many, many more, TC, and better years to come that ’12 has been. You have so much support here.
Trina–superb!

Tomorrow, I get to see the amazing representation of my “once in a lifetime horse” unveiled at SA.

Whats up with the turquoise tape on his halter?? Notice no other one had it??
Keta
Suzie,
No one knows for sure.
Guesses have ranged from: repair broken halter to easy-to-spot in field.
If there is an answer, it will pop up here.
Welcome!

Dear Judy Berube,
Just saw that’s a maiden claiming race Gabby is in on Sunday. Oh my, I so hope she comes out O.K. Don’t know what to think about it. Worry time again.

I hope I can see it. He’s so cute, and Z is so great her self.
Lots of Love and Big Hugs to all.

REDNECK BAPTISM
Before performing a baptism, the priest approached the young father and said solemnly, “Baptism is a serious step. Are you prepared for it?”
“I think so,” the man replied. “My wife has made appetizers and we have a caterer coming to provide plenty of cookies and cakes for all of our guests.”
“I don’t mean that,” the priest responded. “I mean, are you prepared spiritually?”
“Oh, sure,” came the reply. “I’ve got a keg of beer and a case of whiskey.”
Max
Vicki B. A very good one.

Vicki-This one is a classic. About time for relatives of rednecks jokes?

Well, I will be watching Zenyatta’s bronze unveiling online here, like so many others. I had planned to go in person and have been SO looking forward to it, for SO many months — but could not plan for injuring my leg, which is getting better, but not up to standing for very long yet, plus favoring my leg has thrown my back off for the past week.
So I’ve tried to delude myself into thinking maybe I could do it tomorrow, it would be great, and got very excited about that today, until on the way home from work, I remembered the reality of just how much walking I ended up doing, the last time I went to Santa Anita. So, belatedly, I let sanity sink in, and will stay home, and do the next best thing — watch it from here with many of you.

What a disappointment for you. Will be glad to have your company here, though.
Please take care and get better.

Thank you, Sharon.

Thank you Terry, that makes me feel better. If there were any way I could have managed it, believe me, I would be there. Even this morning, I kept thinking about wanting to go. But I know it would be so insane, for me to try that. Even for just driving to work, my leg aches every day — so it’s not ready for the big time, yet. I have one month to get ready for the BC.
Say hello to Nina Kaiser for me, I’ve never met her, but told her I would be there (back when I thought I would!). I’ll miss seeing the Mosses and Shirreffs again, too. And all the horses in the paddock before the races. They are all so gorgeous, even if not Zenyatta.
Terry Crow GP
They were all there. They lingered awhile after the ceremony. I think they were witing to see if you would show up.
Karen
Just great pictures. Thanks always.

Max
Sheena. You will probably be able to see the unveiling later of the statue on a video. It may not be quite as good as livestreaming but still nice.
Let us know of news of Frankel. He is probably too smart to be fooled about this practice. He’s named after a very smart trainer. His fans must be thrilled by the chance to see him on the gallop.
Thanks for the news of Denman and his blog. I will have to check this out from time to time. It is great that Charlotte is keeping his fans up to date. I like the photos on the early entries. Denman is looking so fine. Glad that he found a job.

Snow Fairy to miss rest of 2012 due to injury
by Paulick Report Staff | 09.29.2012 | 7:43am
Current Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe favorite Snow Fairy will miss the race, and rest of 2012, with an injury. Trainer Ed Dunlop told the Racing Post that the mare developed some heat in her foreleg after a work on Friday and decided to cancel the rest of the mare’s plans this season to let her recover.
The 5-year-old mare was injured earlier in the year but racing manager Patrick Cooper said the injury is not related and that the mare should be back in 2013.
“It is a separate issue to the one which sidelined her earlier this year,” Cooper said. “Provided that she makes a full recovery, Mrs Patino has confirmed that Snow Fairy will remain in training next year.”
Max
Peggy. With Snow Fairy out of the Arc, there is less competition for Orfevre. He’s getting ready for the big day.

Here’s an interesting article on Frankel with comments on his character. He’s aggressive in a good way like the one for whom he is named. He also appreciates the support of his fans.

I’m way behind here, but thanks so much to Alys and everyone for the great pictures. The first one really gave me a start until I enlarged it. It looks like Prince’s head on CMG’s body, but I finally figured out that our guy is looking at us over his shoulder! HA! No way to say how much these updates mean to us or how much we appreciate your efforts! All of the comments about the unveiling seem to be on that page, but . . . it was just terrific!
