Happy Monday!
Alys sent us a few new photos of Zenyatta and her Tapit colt out on a sunny day.
13Z has become quite the big boy! He had a visit with the blacksmith last week—watch the video below to see how well behaved he was.
Alys also caught Coz and Cooper Sawyer playing with a jolly ball.
In case you missed last week’s updates, we have recently added new content to the Photos and Videos sections. Head on over to see the new 13Z gallery and an especially unique video of Z.
Enjoy!

Coz is so cute playing with his ball! Love the updates!

13Z is still imitating his mother exactly! That’s why we get these remarkable pictures of the two of them together.

Zenny and 13Z look awesome. Coz looks more like Zenny everyday. The way he handles that jolly ball he should take up basketball as a hobby.

Coz is so grown up….should be off to school soon..

All y’all do the best job on the Zenyatta website and Facebook page, I just love them!
What’re the plans for Coz? Do the Mosses own him, is owned by a syndicate, will he be headed for the track when the time comes? Any plan to name him soon? Thanks.

Thanks so much TeamZ and Lane’s End. Love the updates to see how the boys are growing and looking so fine. Zenny is always beautiful. Love watching them move.

What a wonderful treat to sign in and see the new photos and videos!!! They are just marvelous!! Thank you so much for keeping us all in the loop in such a great way–we’re all SO lucky to be a part of the Zenny family!!!
Right now,I feel REALLY lucky to have you in my corner as all of the good wishes and prayers for us and for our courageous firefighters are SO appreciated!! When I got Sandy’s message,I was so happy and it was really great when I finally got to talk to her!! Getting Barnaby and Traveller safe was our number one priority and when the evacuation of East Fork became mandatory last Friday (the fire was right across the highway from the entrance to East Fork and it is a very narrow canyon, with a single tw-lane road going in and out) the farm where they will be going in December (we had already signed our contracts) came up and trailered them out ,taking them down to the farm, which is about 20 miles south in the Bellevue triangle. Both Sue and I followed the trailer down so that, when they got there, they knew we were with them. They were very good getting in and out of the trailer. They looked around like “where ARE we! Barnaby did his thing of seeming to get much taller as his neck arches and he is on “full alert”.. They are in their own large enclosure with a double shelter and automatic waterers. Since I have been back to see them four times,so far, they are finally figuring out that they are,for certain,OK!
I have just been released for my lunch hour,so will continue this missive when I return and sign back in!!!

Wonderful pictures and videos! Thank you so much. 13Z is such a big boy, and what good manners he shows.
Love Coz and the Jolly Ball. So that’s how Money’s always has holes in it. They grab them by the round part and not the handle! What a great start to the week.
Eagerly awaiting news from Sue F.

Both 13Z and Coz have grown so much over the past few months.
Both are such handsome colts–have a lot of Mama’s looks & moves.

Coz should be about ready to head to training Please let us know when he will be going and how he is doing. He looks so much like his MOM I’am looking forward to his career. Although I may have to travel to New York to see him run,as I’am in San Diego, but no matter. Thanks again Hugs & Kisses on your sweet noses

I just got home and can really see the pics better. The first one is so special. Like mirror images. Each hoof in the same place. Each leg in the same position. They are like statues of each other.
thank you so much Team Z

What a great day – a new post AND news directly from Sue Noel!! Will be waiting for more news when you get time Sue – just SO glad that all of you are OK.
That first picture is just “too cute” – Z13 looks like a replica of his mom trotting along just like her. High hoof to Alys for getting the perfect shot. As Laura said above, I also remember seeing the video last year when Coz had his first pedicure, but something is different this time. Am I remembering wrong or wasn’t Zenny right there watching every move the foot guy made? That may be her peeking out of a nearby stall, but I can’t tell for sure. Coz is so grown up and cute with his ball. And just a note to the web team that you promised an interview that would fill us in on plans for his near-future activities.
Thanks as always to everyone involved in keeping us in the loop here. No way to tell you how much these updates mean!

Thanks so much for sharing the pics and videos. It’s amazing to see how much 13Z has grown – he’s absolutely stunning (but then, I was always partial to chestnuts)!

Thanks as always for the charming photos and videos… We love to keep up with the growing babies! We were thrilled to see JOHN SHIRREFFS at SARATOGA with “Mr. Commons” on July 24th. It was a good race for Graham Motion (3rd) and McGaughey (1st) but not so good for John nor us! Oh well, win some, lose some. For anyone interested, there’s a terrific article about JOHN in the New York Times (Sports) on Friday, August 16, 2013 (go to NYT.COM). So sad about Hollywood Park closing… My grandparents were charter shareholders when it opened in 1938 and my father was given shares that year for his 21st birthday… We used to see Cary Grant lunching in the Turf Club…and WHAT WILL BECOME OF ZENNY’S STALL?
