Happy Friday!
Spring is in full swing at Lane’s End! We spent the earlier part of the week in Kentucky visiting Zenyatta and her two boys.
13Z is quite a frisky and independent colt. He’s equally interested in greeting visitors and cruising around the paddock with his mom. You’ll see them running together in the video at the end of this post.
Coz, who is now a very handsome yearling, was always waiting at the fence to greet us.
There are so many more photos from this visit, and we’ll be putting up brand new photo galleries next week.
Enjoy!

These photos and the video are a feast for the eyes. We are so darn lucky to still have such access to our Queen and her foals.

Amazing photos! ! You captured his spirit…..really he is gorgeous! Zenyatta looks amazingly happy ans healthy. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing the wonderful photos and amazing video. Looks like he’s getting trained by the PRO!

This is one of the best things about Team Z. They aren’t afraid, selfish or snobby to let us see Z and vicariously enjoy all the special moments they get to experience. So what were a few days behind? We’re seeing Z, her babies, how they’ve grown up. We’re watching Z teach her baby all about racing.
We love you Team Z! Thank you for sharing Z and all the joy. Watching the video just assures me more and more that Z is happy and content with motherhood.

He looks so handsome as a Chestnut, kinda hoping he stays Red. I read alot about Greya and Greying and it reads that he will probably be grey, which he would be handsome as a Grey as well, but I am so in love right now…Lisag
Nan Schaefer
Where did you find the info on graying? I am not familiar with equine coat colors and would love to do some research. Thanks in advance, Nan
LauraJ (Cincinnati OH)
So far he does not show any signs of graying. For instance, he does not have gray goggles around his eyes. Lane’s End describes him as a Chestnut, and they know what to look for.
Linda Shull
Love the great photos and the video. Is there ever a time that the public is allowed to see them in person???
LauraJ (Cincinnati OH)
Nope, sorry. It’s just not feasible for Lane’s End to host hundreds of rabid Zenyatta fans. They’d never get any work done. Sometimes visits are auctioned off to benefit charity, but they tend to go for $$$.
Sue/FlCPRC COZ I CAN 2015 ;-)
Even a 1100 miles away from home I can never get enough of you Zenyatta. Love the pics and video.
Beth
Gotta love that self confidence at such a young age. I also find it ironic that’s 13Z has the same (close enough for me) markings as Secretariat….coincidence? I like to think not ;)

It is a tall order to keep up with her!

What awesome pictures!! Thanks so much for posting them :-) Our Beautiful Z looks even more beautiful with that little chestnut boy next to her. And look how big Cozmic One is getting….oh my gosh….he’s just stunning! We can never see enough of Zenyatta and her kids. Love ’em so much <3 <3

Thanks so much for the pics and video. Finally a chance to see the little fella with his mom. They both look incredibly healthy and happy. Very self-assured little guy (seemingly). You can bet I will be following Queen Z and her (growing) family. Thanks so much for giving us a window to her beautiful world.
Fordyce
Z still shows the moves that made her a champ. She has 13Z well trained to stay beside. He’s looking like stallion material!

These pictures are adorable! I’m a huge horse racing fan and Zenyatta is definitely my favorite. Man can she run! If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s a great feature on Zenyatta and her second foal.

Love the photos and video! Z is as beautiful as ever…and her colt is so very handsome!!!
Rachael
12Z will always be crowned prince, but 13Z is an exceptionally classy colt, much nicer than his half-brother, IMO. (A lot more early energy, too! 12Z slept for about a week after being born!) Great pictures!
Barbara Glazer
I can’t believe how big Z12 is now. His going to be huge.
Judy in South Carolina
Wow! I couldn’t pick ONE photo as my favorite as hard as I tried!
Thanks SO much for sharing these with us.
Coz looks exactly like Vertigineux! And loved the photo of him with Ann.
And what can you say about Z13/”Blaze”???? He is simply spectacular. He has hind quarters like a locomotive! Dottie and David certainly knew what they were doing when they proposed the Tapit mating.
These photos and the video made my day. Thanks to everyone who made that possible.
Celeste
Thank you so much for these pictures and the video. They all brought a smile to my face. The pictures are so beautiful and the video is priceless. I am impressed how 13Z keeps right up with Zenyatta!!! How adorable!! He is something else… so sure of himself. He knows he is special!!!
Coz is so handsome and he really has an affection for Ann. You can tell just by his expression. I love seeing the pictures of Ann with her horses.
All three of them are so lucky to have such great owners and we are so lucky to have a window into their world. THANK YOU!!!
Sue Fredrick Happy as a lark
Could team Zenyatta be any greater? Could Lanes End be any more beautiful? Could Zenyatta look any happier? Could Red look any better? Could CoZ look any more like mama?…….I think NOT.
Oh and could these pictures be any more gorgeous? WOW thank you so much to all involved…….what a treat. hugs
Cheryl
Awesome pictures, love the video! Thanks for sharing!

Just simply stunning!!The dapples are so gorgeous and little Z13 is really filling out and what a stride he has while running with his mom!! Thanks so much for these posts ,pics and videos!

13Z is so totally cute and full of personality….what a joy to see!!! could we possibly hear the story of his birth like we did for Coz….it makes us feel connected more fully with him and our Queen Z.
And,Coz – what can i say – he is growing into such a breath-taking young man!!!! does he enjoy the attention of humans also – as his mom does?
Thank you all so much for all your efforts to keep us connected with our beloved Zen and her family – it means so much….
Sharyn
Absolutely amazing photos – Just beautiful – thank you!
Misty
He reminds me of my little red Arabian pony – such a sassy face! He’s adorable, and the camera loves him!
Margit
This little fellow is striking! Even if he hadn’t been a celebrity from arrival due to his fantastic pedigree, any foal showing the quality that he does, would attract special attention all the same. I’d call him TapZen! :-)
Diana Stuart - Red Speed Demon
That little fellow can really haul! Beautiful video!
Zenny: You haven’t lost a step, beautiful girl, and I love your flagging tail as you wiz across the pasture. Both of your boys are spectacular kids, but this little red one looks like a handful. Prince Coz is looking so mature and pensive. Love the photo of him and Ann having a chat.
Thank you to the Mosses, all at LE, and Teams Z, C, and 13Z for letting us share such great moments.

Hello Everyone,
Amazing photos – THANK YOU for sharing !!!
On this morning CBS news there was an interview with 60 Minutes about Jockey Rose. They spoke about the segment they did on Zenyatta with a short video !!!

This so made my day!!

My Queen makes beautiful babies. I caught my breath when I realized I was looking at CoZ, not Z; was wonderfully surprised to see how big he is and how mature he looks. The baby looks like a handful, but now that Z is a second-time mom, it appears she’s willing to wander a tiny bit further away than with her first one.
Thanks for these wonderful pics and the video; her flagged tail says it all.
