If any of you have questions or trouble signing up, feel free to ask us here.
You may also notice that the DIARY and NEWS items can now be accessed through the single menu item, BLOG. From there you can choose to view Z’s Diary, News, or both.
In other news, Tasty is still patiently waiting for her foal to arrive.
There are also new photos of Z and her colt available for purchase in the SHOP! Check them out here.
Enjoy!

Zenny,
On the way to Lexington today I drove past Ramsey Farm here in Nicholasville and saw maybe 10 babies & their moms in the pastures. They were so cute. I just imagined how your & the little Prince look together in the pasture.

Kim-You are so fortunate to be able to see such things without taking a major trip. We have horse farms here in California, but nothing like Kentucky.

Thank you Judy B. and Margaret for you comments on my videos posted to Backside 55! I am not sure if I respond in the forum, if you’ll see this! LOL!

Just a heads up that “Belair Stud” by Kimberly Gatto is now for sale on Amazon. Belair Stud owned Gallant Fox, Omaha and Nashua. Most of you probably already know this, but Zenyatta’s pedigree includes Nashua on the sire side. I just ordered a copy. I am hoping that Tasty Temptation delivers her foal tomorrow. More pacing…
carol in utah
Hi allie….think Nashua is found on both sides for Z….check out his ears

Hi Z and Prince, hope you two had a great day today. It was beautiful out here today, a perfect day, like the day you Z had your baby.
Kisses for the little Prince, Peace and Love to the two of you. Sleep tight.

Terry Crow,
YAY!!! So glad that you are back! We really did miss you! Hugs!
Terry Crow
Thank you, Marshall.
Terry Crow
Marshall-I remember when you posted indicating that Marshall was a girl’s name by way of identification. Here is an oldie which I am dusting off just for you, the president of the North Carolina chapter. However, if others want to see it that’s OK, too. You might be a redneck if you have ever used a toilet seat as a picture frame. I don’t know why I find that one so funny.
Marshall (NC broad)
Terry Crow,
Your memory is correct — I did note that I am a girl named Marshall; however,
I just made a little change in my identification as you see. I think maybe “broad” is better than “old girl/old lady”! Maybe I am channeling Sinatra?
Thank you for the redneck “frame-of-reference” humor!! Great design tip-LOL!
We have missed your humor. It brightens our day!
Cheers!!

ZENNY,
Your Prince’s ears are just too cute! He already looks as if he’s growing with each new group of pictures. YOU are such a great Momma, Z!
Thank you Team Z for working so hard to make this wonderful website even better! You have been so wonderful to us fans.
Many of God’s Blessings to You, ZENNY, and Your Prince, Team Z, and everyone here on the website.
PS Will have to keep scrolling up to see if there is news of Tasty yet.

Carol in Utah thank you for the information on Zenyatta’s pedigree. Roberto line does link to Nashua. Even better. Can’t wait to get my copy of “Belair Stud”.

Hi Z Family I applied for the Forum. I don’t know if I have been accepted yet. Baby Z is so beautiful. I know some of you have been following about my student Trey. He gets buried today. It is so pretty here in Ohio. I think God is smiling down on us to help us get through this. Love you all, Shari

It is night now, and I hope you can get a good rest; you must be exhausted.
Hugs and love.

HugZ, dearest Shari. What a tough day it must have been. The students and teachers who knew Trey made such beautiful comments on his gratitude candles site about what a great friend he was and how he made everyone laugh. What a special young man he was, gone much, much too soon. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng&gi=trey

Help! I set up for the forum and received an email back requesting I click on a return address for confirmation. Nothing happens when I place my cursor on that address. I can’t figure out what I am doing incorrectly……

It seems to have happened to all of us on first joining. What happens is that an e-mail will be sent for you, but chances it will land in the Spam folder. Click on Spam in your e-mail account, and you should find the e-mail. Follow the directions in it, and you should be good to go.

Good Morning, I am set up ok on the Forum on my home lap top, but the password will not work here on my work computer which is an “older” computer. I should probably work anyway!!! I can at least comment on this blog and there is Z’s facebook page. HUGS TO ALL….

TODAY’S TECH TIP FOR THE FORUM (OR HOW TO COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY WITH SOMEONE IN EITHER A PUBLIC OR PRIVATE MODE)
I just sort of stumbled onto this, so I thought I would share it with anyone still reading here (I have NO idea where to post it on the forum, but if anyone else thinks that there IS a good place, feel free to copy and paste).
OK – by now many posters have figured out that if you click on someone’s picture (or the shadow where a picture would be) you will be taken to their account page. There is a box at the top where you can type your message and then click on the “Add Comment” button underneath the box. That comment (and any replies either from the intended person or others) will be visible to anyone else who visits the person’s account page. Unfortunately, the person you are writing to WON’T SEE IT unless he/she clicks on the “Activity” tab on his/her account page!! (So check yours every once in a while).
If you want to write something that you don’t wish to share with everyone else, click on the “send a message to (whoever)” link which is in black near the top left of the page. If the person has a picture, it will be under the picture. This will produce another box which is equivalent to an internal email. You type in the lower box (the recipient’s name is in the top box) and then click on the “Start Conversation” button below the box. Only the person you are writing to will get that message. You will be “notified” about an email message that someone has sent you in several ways (a) under the notifications tab on your account page, (b) by a little window that shows up and then disappears on your screen, and (c) by an email from the system to the email address you used to sign up for the forum.
Hope this helps.
Sandy

Ok girls, it’s time to break out the pocket book and not just be all about chatter, see below…woohoo!
A halter worn by 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta will be offered for sale during a ten-day auction on the Bidding For Good website beginning on March 24.
The halter was donated to the Living Arts & Science Center in Lexington by Zenyatta’s owners Jerry and Ann Moss and William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Farm in Versailles, Kentucky, where the champion mare and her recently born Bernardini colt reside.
Beginning on the afternoon of March 24, interested bidders may bid on the authentic Zenyatta halter here.
All proceeds will benefit the Living Arts & Science Center, a not-for-profit educational arts and science organization. The Living Arts & Science Center is in its 44th year of providing creative and educational programs in the arts and sciences. The organization serves more than 40,000 Central Kentuckians each year through classes, workshops, exhibits, field trip programs, and community events.

Don’t you just love this close up of the young Prince??? You can see each little hair in such detail ,you can just imagine how he FEELS!! It just looks as though you could reach in and touch Hhim!! And he looks so strong already—-look at those hindquarters!!! I just want to reach in and nuzzle his sweet neck!! He really DOES look unusually intellegent and alert and beautiful—even if we weren’t slightly over the moon over him!!
We are SO blessed to be able to watch him grow–he MUST feel all the love flying his way, just drifting on the breeze that ruffles his mane!!

@Sandy in NE Ohio-In case you missed my previous message, I tried to respond but was unable to do so. I sent you a message on who’s who. I always respond when a message is directed to me. @Karen Gogue-Whatever happened to the scrap book that you were putting together for Dottie? I think I will just post here for awhile.

I was thinking the same thing Terry, a while ago.

Terry,
Thanks – I saw your response. Apparently responding to an internal email is even more complicated than sending one. I clicked on my name to get to my account page, and then the “notifications” tab. Under that, it said “TerryCrow (in green) sent you a message (in green). When I clicked on the word “message,” your first response came up, and under that there was a window above which it says “Add message.” That is where I typed the reply that you got. This is going to make me nuts, and I’ve completely lost track of nearly everyone. Don’t even know where to look in the 34 different “discussions” that are now going on.

Dear Max:
Have you visited the Forum yet? I’m using the screen name Legend’s Dancer, which is my name for Z12. Hugs, JB
Max
LegendsDancer aka Judy Berube. I have not yet posted anything. Kyle just approved my membership request today. I like your name for 12Z.
What is our Tasty doing? It must be very good living in the foaling barn. From the sounds of things. Lane’s End is a big spa for horses. I would like to check in for a rest.

Dear Max:
Me too. Signofthetimes and I were talking about what a thrill it would be to have a visit there and observe a typical day at the foaling barn. The Forum is nice, but it’s different. Have to get used to it. Glad you like Legend’s Dancer. Sure the Moss’ will come up with something great for him. Hugs, JB

PS: Nothing new on TT yet. I’m trying not to be concerned, but it’s getting harder not to worry.
Max
Judy. I was not clear. I do not want to visit Lane’s End. I want to move in there permanently with my own stall, although I would be happy to share with Z or Tasty. This is a great life with no chores, no worries and with great accommodation and every service catered to a very high standard. I guess that one would have to win a Breeders’ Cup Classic or some graded stakes races like Tasty to get the hooves in those barns. However we can still dream.

Dear Vicki B:
Thank you so much for this link. We’ve been blessed to have been a part of Z’s daily life for over a year through Dottie and the Diary. Do miss it, but we knew there would come a time when Z would concentrate on being a broodmare. Luckily, we will get updates from time to time on Z, Z12 and future foals. Gee, still nothing on TT. Hugs, JB
Marshall (NC broad)
Vicki B.,
Thanks bunches for the link from DRF. Very relieved and touched by Dottie’s words.
She should get some sort of writer’s award for such talent!
Hugs!
Marty R / Colorado
Thank you Vicki B. for sharing this article. So, Zenyatta and 12Z will be moving on to a broodmare barn. Wonder if son will be as curious as his mom is about things. Will be fun to follow.
Vicki B. near Hollywood Park
Sandy, Judy, Marshall, & Marty – You are all welcome! I was in such a hurry, barely had time to post the link. I thought it was a great article, giving us a little more detail on Dottie’s thinking & feelings about the Diary. I also like how L.E.’s Mike Cline said of Zenyatta, “You don’t really appreciate how special she is unless you’re around her all the time.” Sounds like he didn’t fully know either, until after she moved to the farm. And the piece also reiterates, as most of us knew, that Lane’s End isn’t in any way “responsible” for THIS site. And it was good to hear R.A.’s owner’s take on the importance of fans’ connections after the horses are retired, to help increase the sport’s fan base.

Cynthia H.,
Amen! So very true.
Thank you! <3

Cynthia: Very true about Kari. Her last video of Z and TT together was really incredible.
I hope that you are coping. I think of you often whenever Kari is mentioned on the site, which is daily as it should be as she was a great fan of Z. She was also personally inspiring to those who knew even a little of her story.
How is John Shear doing at Santa Anita? I think about him too. A real hero and role model.

Dear Cynthia H.:
I join Max in hoping you are coping with your grief. Kari certainly radiated joy. A beautiful soul. Love and Hugs, JB

Hi Z and Prince, just me checking in to make sure you two are doing a-okay.
Still in Sac but will be returning to So Cal, soon. Hi everyone, Blessings to all.
Prince is just too cute!, if he gets any cuter, we’ll be in trouble. Is it just me?, I
get nervous when people start talking of the time when Prince here would start
racing the Curlin colt!. I do think we should enjoy them now and not worry of a time
still in the future. We’ll deal with that when the time comes.
In Human language, we would say let kids be kids!!!!!!!!!.Time goes by so fast, so let them
enjoy their limited non competitive life, stress free.
Just a thought. Wishing mother and child a happy weekend and all the Z-listers, Gods Blessings.Amen.
