Happy Monday!
We thought it would be nice to start the week with photos from last week’s visit to Lane’s End. Ann and Jerry went to see Zenyatta and her colt with bags of carrots in tow. Both Z and her son are doing well, enjoying the crisp Kentucky fall air. Zenyatta is healthy and happy, and 12Z is growing fast!
Enjoy!

Like mother, like son – what a strapping young lad Z12 is! Definitely a chip off of mom.

So much love in these photos….its really amazing to see so many familiarities in Z12 and Big Momma Z. Zenyatta took on her new life as a broodmare in absolute stride and she has so much love to give – you can just see it in her eyes. Big Baby Z is cool and comfortable…he will definitely be a vision on the track. Can’t wait!!
Happy Holidays to the happy family and thank you so much for sharing these intimate photos with us –

It’s always a great beginning to the day when new pictures of Zenyatta and Z12 are posted. The icing on the cake is when the Mosses are with them!

Great photos. Love seeing Zenyatta and 12Z. She is as gorgeous as ever and 12Z is getting big. Great seeing M/M Moss with them. They are definately the Queen and Prince of horses. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thanks so much for the photos . Zenny looks fab, but then she always has. Baby Z what can you say it won’t be long before he starts his training and he certainly favors his MOM. It warms my heart so to see Mother & Son so happy and well cared for. Thanks Again

You can just feel the Love between all. We are so blessed to be able to share in these wonderful memories and lovely pictures

I love seeing the absolute affection and trust between the Queen, her prince and Ann. If I remember correctly, Z put her head on Ann’s shoulder when they were looking at her before the auction – and the rest was history. If the Mosses hold on to the Queen’s progeny, they could have a dynasty and the epitome of a racing stable!

You’re right…Zenny rested her head on Ann’s shoulder the first time they met and the rest is history. We have been so spoiled by the Mosses with our continual look into Zenny’s life. She is gorgeous, happy and healthy. The love in her eyes when she sees her humans makes me misty eyed. And 12Z…what an awesome looking colt he has become! I was feeling a bit sad not having new pics of these two so when I saw the photos today I did a happy dance.
Donna from Baltimore
You can always spot the Prince in a herd – between those ears and his height – he just naturally stands out. And I remember seeing video of him running around the paddock with Zenyatta chasing him. I think he is going to be spectacular!

Great photos! Thanks for sharing – Love Zenyatta always!

Here’s a question for the vet, looking at these charming pictures….Z12 looks HUGE to me, but I am no expert in TB yearling types. Is he big/heavy, or average?

The pictures are absolutely beautiful. They are the best gift we could receive for the Holidays. May everyone have a safe & healthy Holiday Season, especially Zenyatta, Z12 and all the Z team, in Kentucky & California. Lots of peppermint kisses. XXXXXXX You definitely made my Christmas a very Merry one.

12Z’s knees are wide open! He’s going to be a monster! Very nice bone too. DON’T START HIM TOO EARLY.

I don’t think we ever need to worry about that! If Mr. Shirreffs is selected as the trainer, P-A-T-I-E-N-C-E will be the order of the day. I am thrilled to see the dense and sturdy bone in 12Z’s legs. Thanks, Zenny! And his refined and pretty face. Thanks, Bernie!

Ditto…love seeing emerging strength in those legs.
Pati-Holiday Humming!
John, or whoever is chosen as trainer, will know when he is ready. That is the least of our concerns. We should be worried about when he plans to stop growing because at this pace, he’ll be eighteen hands! Lol
Joanna from TX
Thanks Lanes End and Moss’s for the pictures and sharing with us! Merry Christmas to all.
Our little boy is growing up so fast; he’s looking wonderful, and Zenny is looking so motherly. Won’t be long now.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful ‘Family’ Album with us. Zenny and her prince look wonderful and the obvious bond between all of them is so touching. The future holds such promise for Zenny and her babies. If only every horse had the love and care these two do ~ ~ ~
Sue
It is wonderful to see Zenyatta with her owners. The pictures make it obvious she isn’t just another horse in a barn full, but a very loved mare, who expresses her affection back to them.

Dear Ann, Jerry, and Team Z/LE/12Z:
This is the best Christmas-Hanukkah present ever! (Short of being there in person!)
The love between Ann and Zenny is palpable in these photos. That heart connection is real. Anyone who would ever doubt that is a stone. And Prince Z? That head-on shot is marvelous! Love his “polka dots” too. He is – like his mother – one sturdy colt, and clearly a big-un. Not to leave you out, Jerry, but you must be “one proud papa” and your smile says it all – “Am I a lucky guy, or what?” Yep. You certainly are.
What a beautiful, beautiful gift you have given all of us. May all your dreams come true through this holiday season and beyond. We love you all.

OMG, OMG, I just got off the phone with my bff saying I needed a Zenny fix and here it is. Thank you so much LE for these wonderful pics.
Zenny looks fabulous and the hugging pics of those two beauties, Ann and Zen are so touching and sweet, you can just feel the love.
And EARnie, my gosh he is huge!! Is it my imagination or what…..his ears don’t look so big anymore!! He is a big beautiful colt and I’m sure we are going to be waiting a little longer for him to grow up…….shades of Zen and Ebby. He seems to have the sweetness too as he hugs his grandma. Lovely
Special hugs and kisses to all
nancy
Love, Love. Love it. Thank you so much Ann and Jerry for the photos. Both Z12 and Zenyatta looking wonderful. Z 12 is looking so much like his momma :) Just want to hug on them both :)
Tony
Great pics, Jerry and Ann. My girl, Zenny looks like a million and 12Z is a looker, too.
This new post with pics is a great way to start the week.
Randy
A huge THANK YOU to the Mosses, Lane’s End and the beautiful photography work of Alys Emson for these gorgeous pictures. It’s so good to see how Zenny’s pregnancy is progressing and I think she looks absolutely wonderful. And Z12 is so TALL! It’s hard to tell just how big he is when he’s ouside with his friends.
My two favorites are the ones of Zenny and Z12 cuddling with Ann. Both horses have their eyes almost closed and they look so content and well loved.
Thanks so much for sharing these treasures (the horses AND the photos) with us.
