And His Name Is…

Team Z is proud to announce that Zenyatta’s chestnut colt by Tapit has been named.

Inspired by the iconic Zenyatta herself, Jerry Moss has chosen the name Ziconic for her second colt.

Ziconic = Iconic with a Z! (zīˈkänik)

    Terrific name chosen by Mr. Moss! All we pacers and waiters needed some news, and this was great timing!
    Ziconic has grown into such a beautiful colt, just love his coloring, and that mane turning blond. Bet it gets lights in the summer sun and will be beautiful on a racetrack…

    We have so much to look forward to, first Coz and now Ziconic….and who knows who will be next. Zenny passes so much confidence to her foals, it’s a beautiful thing to see.

    Can’t wait for the next piece of news….. hopefully we don’t all crash the site. I know I’ll be checking regularly.

    Anne B (another Anne with an “e” from across the country)–I agree we all needed a brief respite from pacing and waiting….and when we least expected it! Do you think Ziconic will eventually be an “icon” on the computer? At the very least there is now a new Z word to add to Webster’s Dictionary! We need to lobby for that!

    Where’s our baby? I was sure she/he would come tonight at 11:xx pm and there is still no word. Zenny could still gonna hold out ’til the 17th which, as far as I can tell, is supposed to be her actual “due date”??? I thought the baby was supposed to be a full moon baby and so I named her “Moon Goddess” if a filly or “Moon God” if the foal was a colt.
    Well, Zenny is always full of surprise and so we all wait with baited breathe for her next
    big surprise. . . .whatever it may be . . .Unless she can just turn around, wink at us all and lay down right nw or very soon and just gently and softly slide out a brand new foal in just the next 15 minutes EST, or 3 hours and 15 minutes PST. I am just holding my breath. . . as are we all . . .

    ZICONIC…Love the name. It suits him and the family PERFECTLY! Equine and humane. Jerry you did a great job naming this gorgeous boy.I`m sure you were smiling when you told him his name. ;).. I must say that I so excited about the pending birth that I forgot about his naming. Oops!!! That being said, Love Coz and Ziconic. Two STUNNING young men. Lots of BIG hugs and kisses Alene.. Zenny, stay healthy and safe!

    Happy Birthday & In Loving Memory of “War Pass”

    Not going to post this long because I know you know what’s in my heart.
    It was the thrill of a Lifetime meeting you.
    Danielle took me and another lady over to meet you. I stood back while she visited and I heard her tell you that meeting you not only made her day but made her life.
    I felt exactly the same way.
    You were in the top maybe two or three of the most beautiful horses I have met.
    And, you had dirt and grass all over you that day. Remember. You had been rolling in the dirt big time that day. But what a beauty.
    I met your Gabby and fell in love with her. I told her about my meeting her dad.

    Thank you forever Danielle and Lane’s End for having War Pass there and letting me meet him.

    Too heartbroken to talk to much but,

        They’ve been having fits with that camera for a long time–at least a year. I think it was out so often that they finally gave up.

      Thanks for mentioning the video of Cigar so I could find it and learn that he needs some prayers and good wishes. I’ve been busy with my husband in hospital and have not had much time to check around on all the horses except to see if our third young prince or princess has arrived.

    I just happen to think that when Jerry accepted Zenyatta’s Horse of The Year award he said something like Zenyatta is like tonic to our souls. Now we have Ziconic!! Ann and Jerry I don’t think you could have thought of a better name. It’s just awesome!!
