It’s not worried-anxious, it’s excited-anxious. She is due any time now. Horses have imprecise due dates. Gestation averages around 340 days, but anything after 320 days is considered term, and some mares go longer than a year. Her two past pregnancies have been just past the 340-day mark. If she continues her pattern, she could foal literally any time now.

Oh Boy-Oh Boy!!!! Mr. Moss, you picked the PERFECT name for your red-head!!! I believe this is a name that will resonate through the ages as one of the racing immortals!!! From the moment I saw his picture,I felt that he was destined for glory–he has an indefinable “something” about him that has captured my heart and soul. I feel that he is going to be the GREATEST Red!!
All of the pictures are gorgeous–thank you so much for sharing these moments with all of us! I dearly love the photo at the tpo–there is something about the composition of that one, with the gorgeous blue sky, and the dark fencing and green grass–with Zenny the crown jewel set in the middle of it all that is just perfect. I believe that it should be one that is available through the shop. I’m sure you probably get tired of folks getting hung up on one photo or another,but there have been several that touched my heart in a very special way,over the years. Two of my favorites are the one of the four girls all lying together,as if posed,on a rise in one of the pastures—-also–the one of four of them ,taken from the rear, walking,seemingly without lead ropes, between pastures, on what looked to be a perfect Kentucky day. I imagine there WERE folks attached,but you couldn’t see that, just looked as if they knew where they were going and could do it on their own! Would LOVE to be able to buy THOSE!

My question is…will I survive all this anticipation???? As I wait on you, Big Girl, my son is lined up outside a local club downtown for the “Official Canadiens Play-Off Party.”
For those who might not know it, the ONLY Canadian team who made it into the Stanley Cup play-offs is our own Montreal Canadiens. They launch their bid to take round one tonight from Tampa Bay where they play the Tampa Bay Lightning.
I grew up with the Canadiens and remain a “hockey nut.”
I tell myself that it will help to pass the time waiting on Z14 ……….. LOL!
