Shared Belief’s has lost only once in eight starts and that loss can be attributed to the superstar getting slammed out of the starting gate in the Breeders’ Cup Classic. Despite the rough start Shared Belief went on to finish 4th in North America’s richest race that took place at Santa Anita nearly two months ago.

The Black Stallion airs again Saturday Night at 8pm on Turner Classic movies. I saw this movie just about a month ago and just loved it.

Can’t remember exactly what the sports announcer at the races on HRTV was talking about but Zenyatta came up and he acknowledged her as “the Queen of racing herself”. Isn’t it wonderful that she is still remembered properly as such?!!!

Vox Populi Presentation Info
Mrs. Chenery’s designees will present the custom-made Vox Populi trophy to California Chrome’s connections on Jan. 10 at Santa Anita Park. The California Chrome team is scheduled to be at the presentation and to sign autographs beginning at 11:00 a.m. The ceremony will be broadcast live on HRTV. In conjunction with the award, DAP is donating race-worn silks from California Chrome’s winning effort in the San Felipe Stakes for auction with proceeds to benefit the Secretariat Foundation and other equine charities.

December, 2010 (minus the snow) revisited. Zenyatta looks so glorious, just like she did when she first realized she could run free.
