Zenyatta will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this week. Though she won’t be attending the ceremony, the people who care for her at Lane’s End Farm will make sure she knows how special she is. Alys Emson photographed her bath for us.
The 2016 Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion will be closed to the public, but fans who will be in Saratoga are invited to attend our “Belles of the Hall” viewing party for a live stream of the ceremony and fun activities for all.
For everyone else, the National Museum of Racing will stream footage from the ceremony live on their website starting Friday at 10:30 am. See their website for details.

Dear Kathy. When you truly love someone there are no need for words. My Parents were like that.We are expecting another mini heatwave next week! All quiet on the Dyfi but Aran has delivered a trout for W7.The BBC are driving me up the wall with their Rio coverage hardly anything on the eventing went off to the boxing on half.Michael Jung is just incredible and Team GB did catch up somewhat Valegro begins tomorrow and the freestyle is on Monday praying his career ends on a high and of course Hovey has trained Carl’s BarneyI had a fall similar to you this morning never thought I’d get such a huge bruise on my leg falling on carpet.Tripped over my own feet getting up!
A lot have been discussing the Duke of Westminster’s wealth this morning. The new Duke is Prince George’s godfather he had a £5million 21st birthday party.Of course, Anne Duchess of Westminster was the owner of the incomparable Arkle The Duke was a very heavy smoker and only 64 no age really but a lot of people in Chester where they had a home Eaton Hall all admired him.
Ziggy is getting a lot of cuddles today and Mango has been busy filming for the Hero dog awards.Lionel endorsed Mr Fibbs the conbenshun is going very well far better than the others!I wonder when Mr Fibbs will gib his speech!I cannot find any news on Mr No ears now they must have closed his FB page it’s nearly a year now surely something could have been done by now.Mother Theresa is going Putin in China next they have spoken on the phone.Larry will be in charge while she is away no doubt.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
I think it says a lot about a relationship when you are comfortable enough with each other to not have to talk incessantly, to be comfortable in silence. I remember that song from a long time ago, “Silence is Golden.” It truly is. Oh no…another heat wave! Maybe you’ll take your tea iced. i hope W7 enjoyed that trout! Sorry the BBC is driving you up the wall. You have Valegro to look forward to. It’s sure to be so impressive! SO SORRY to hear of your fall. I hope you recover quickly! Sounds like the Duke of Westminster’s life in no way resembles mine! lol Good for him, though. I hope he will do some good with all that money. Anne Duchess of Westminster was blessed to own Arkle. I worry about the people I know who smoke. It does none of them any good. Haven’t visited Ziggy yet. He is just so gorgeous. I’m glad he’s getting cuddles! Mango’s social life makes me tired just reading about it. Lionel’s endorsement speech was glorious. I, too, look forward to Fibbs’ speech. Sad there’s no news from Mr No Ears. i wonder when Mother Theresa gets to go home again! She’s really making the rounds. Good thing she has Larry to fall back on. Have a happy Hump Day.Love and hugs from me, kisses from Angel Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Thanks to Alys and Team Z for the wonderful photos. I think it’s great that Zenny is getting all shined up even though she won’t be making a personal appearance at the Spa (wouldn’t THAT be something??). Thanks also for the information on how to watch if we can’t be there (I’m guessing that’s MOST of us!). For those who will be there (either inside or at the Belles party), I hope you have a grand time and will share your adventures and photos with us when you get home. Congratulations and love to our Queen and to all those being inducted on Friday. ♥♞♞♞♥♥

Dear Judy B.,
Thanks for this link — very interesting and a super line-up of possibilities.
I agree with you about Tepin’s photo — very reminiscent of Queen Z’s “Look of Eagles”.
These are all fabulous horses!

An article on Criquette from the TDN and why horses were removed from her training facility. Love and Hugs, JB

shirleeinindy
Judy,
The virus sounds more reasonable than sexism. If she has won 3 Arcs for them it would not make sense to move them. But, sexism rears its ugly head in the most unexpected places.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Shirlee:
Indeed, it does. Love and Hugs, JB
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Judy B., and Shirlee,
This seems to be a mystery — what’s the real story, I wonder. It does seem more reasonable to move horses when there is a virus potential; however, it also seems that Criquette would be aware of this. Very strange indeed.
Hugs and Love
Max
Looks like Head Mareek has the sheikh’s entourage in spin mode in more ways than one. Good for her. She is not considered to be one of the best trainers in the world for nothing.

Bonjour Zenyatta,
Love those photos of you. Keep them
coming.
Love to you and your boys.

No matter how much we have learned or how much we know, someone else will always know a little more. That should never stop us from doing the best we can, because whatever someone else may know, we know something a little different. We have been created this way; we all have a purpose in life and we all have something to contribute to the world. We all need each other-and we need what the other knows.
Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.
-Chief Seattle, Suquamish
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Kathy,
This is excellent advice! We are indeed woven together — all creatures great and small, as well as the Plant Kingdom. I wish the human population would understand this; the world would be a much happier and safer place.
Hugs and Love

Everyone, Steve Haskins has done it AGAIN. Go to Bloodhorse.com and read his article on Rachel and Zenyatta. Some very nice pictures also. It is evident that Zenny is much more a “people person” than Rachel. Yeah, I said “person!”
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Shirlee:
The Queen does love being surrounded by her Court. Thanks for this. Will be sure to read SH’s article. Nobody does it better! Love and Hugs, JB
Barbara Wood
Oh, Zenny, there is never a time you are not gorgeous. Muddy? No problem. Soapy? No problem. After a good roll? No problem. Covered with snowflakes? No problem. Although Rachel is a lovely girl, you will always be our Zenny, Queen of Racing.
Hugs to all. Will eventually get back to the blog on a regular basis.
Judy B from Rhode Island
Dear Barb:
Miss your posts. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Kathy. All we can do in life is our best really.I heard a very sad story from India where a man was knocked down and people just passed by his body the only one that stopped stole his mobile phone. The man eventually died from blood loss who knows if he had been helped sooner?I am black and blue today and so stiff.Just about managed the weekly shop!I had a shock walking through the churchyard saw the grave of an old neighbour her parents and mine were close friends Surprised to see she died in 2014 and now her ashes have been interred. She would have been 67 when she died I have lost touch with a lot of my old neighbours since I moved. One starts to think when friends of your own age pass away.
We are celebrating our medal wins yesterday even the bronze.I wonder how Michael Phelps celebrates his 25!!!Larry tweeted congratulations from all the cats in the UK.Mother Theresa is going on an alpine walking holiday. She will be meeting Putin in China next month. The Duke of Westminster had planned this new rehabilitation centre for injured service heroes. He told his son that you have to give back when you’re that wealthy and all his children went to state primary schools. He had always wanted to be a farmerThe dressage is on the bbc Monday at 2pm!!!! Mr Fibbs has had a baff ready for his big moment one has to be squeaky clean unlike your other politicians.Hillary looked tired last night maybe she has heard about Fibbs??Mango was busy filming for the hero dog awards she looked so sweet.Aran delivered a garfish to the nest but no one cared to eat it.They were all flying high over Moel Ddu yesterday. It looked to be raining on the Dyfi.We will have a plume of heat next week for 2 days temps 95F in places.Hope you have a great day.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Angel Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
