Hi Everyone,

As promised, we’re bringing you the latest updates on Zenyatta and Baby. Here’s a new shot of them enjoying the beautiful weather, captured for us by Jerry Moss. All is well, and they are both happy and healthy.

Many of you have been wondering about Tasty Temptation, so we asked Lane’s End for the lastest news. As of today, she still has not foaled.

    Thank you soooo much for continuing with the news of Zenyatta and her foal – and also of Tasty. We hope she does as well as Z did. We read the Zenyatta news every day – have since almost the beginning – it makes us feel like part of the family!!!! Thank you again!!

    Many thanks to the special ones who care for Zenyatta. So appreciated by her fans.
    Zenyatta may not be talking to us herself but any news is much much better than nothing at all.. Withdrawals are very painful.

    thank you so so so much for the news update…now I have to learn how to do this twitter thing. I am an old lady this is all new to me and ZEN has brought all this new stuff to me…what an amazing creation you are Zen. The impact you have had on so many lives…Not just about racing , horses and foals but about living again …thank you team Z you all are blessed

    I am so glad I signed up for twitter…I just saw the poster that I ordered from Santa Anita’s giftshop this AM. It is precious beyond words. Thank you Team Z for giving us updates, no matter how they come, they are appreciated.

        Cynthia, please convey to Ashton how much this video means to me. Kari and I swapped comments trying to figure out a way to put Z’s pictures and videos to Nessun Dorma, particularly by Pavarotti. At the time Kari couldn’t figure it out, but obviously she did at some point. The link to the video was e-mailed to me today and when I saw it, I cried like a baby and still haven’t gotten myself back under control. It is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen and exactly what I had in mind at the time. I think it’s the most inspired and powerful video that Kari ever did. I wanted to post a comment on youtube but couldn’t remember my old ID and password. I hope that either Ashton seens this or you can let her know for me. Words truly can’t express how much this video means to me.

        • Sharon, I remember well your previous posts to Kari and she to you, about using “Nessun Dorma” to make a magnificent video. Your dream has been realized! Your words are so beautiful and so straight-from-the-heart. I agree with everything you said. You made me cry. Again.

          Your beautiful words left me in tears. In Moma’s notes regarding that video she wrote “Sharon C.. (with your last name) this ones for you.” It is clear that she never forgot the conversation she had with you. I was not sure if I should include that under the video. I was searching for you here under your full name. I don’t have words to tell you, just how much your words mean to me. From my heart, I thank you.

      Oh My – my tear ducts have certainly got a work out this week! I always looked forward to Kari’s tribute videos but this one is exceptional. Ashton has her Mom’s gift. Thank you so much for posting the link – that’s one of the things that I was so afraid of losing with the diary. Thank you Abigail and thank you Ashton. I know you could sense your Mom with you as you completed her work.

      Thanks, Abigail, and thanks, Ashton. This one really got to me. Just beautiful, I loved all the music, ‘Nessun Dorma’ by Pavarotti had long been one of my favorites. And I had never seen a few of the clips, Zenny & Tasty, and Zenny chowing down on the tree above her, on the edge of her paddock. Kari would have been so happy about this one. Thank you so much.

        Thank You Abigail and Ashton for the wonderful video! Kari would be so proud. Where in the world did you get some of the video clips? The entire video was fabulous but, the ones of Zen and TT running around, playing in black/white was great. Loved, her eating the tree. TOO CUTE AND HIGH HOOVES!!! Again, Thank You!!

        • Heidi, thank you. I hope she is proud. The racing clips are from tvg. The clips of Z and TT were Moma’s. She left them to me. That is her at the end of the video. I agonized over including them. Right before she passed, she learned that many more were involved in making that happen for her. She never had a chance to thank them. This is my way of thanking them for her and I pray honoring her.

        Vickie, thank you. “Nessun Dorma” was one of Moma’s favorite songs. She has several videos with that song, she did through out the years in her computer.That was her “dream song” to do a tribute to her beloved Zenyatta. She put her soul and many hours into the final project, all I did was place photos of 12 Zenyatta where she had marked.

        • Thank you, Ashton! I watched again, and am bawling again. I am so glad you included those clips of Kari’s very own, Z & TT romping in the pasture, and Kari herself. I never met her except thru here, so never saw her picture before now. It got to me, as you said that many people were involved “in making that happen for her”, that they would do that for her. It always touches me when people do respond to someone so much in need, and it’s so clear what they need — when she wasn’t going to make it, herself. That just “killed” me. I hope this is making sense. Thank you, again.

      Abigail, thanks for posting that last video from Kari, it’s uplifting and heartwrenching at the same time. I loved the ending where she said she was here and they showed the sweet statue of the bunny. What a great way to picture Kari…..there watching over Zen and her baby! Hugs

      sequence is magnificent — I remember the conversation between Kari and Sharon about making a video of Zenyatta accompanied by Pavarotti. She figured out how to do it and WOW! What a gift to us!     Thank You so Much How kind of you to take time to remember the fans. Zen and her Prince are a true gift to this world. When things are dark in the news SHE brings a joy and peace we all need. What a gift to all of us. I know all of team Z have been touched by this creation and now her baby . WHAT A JOY THANK YOU AGAIN

    The Foal list on Lane’s End shows 7 foals born since Zenyatta but, no Tasty yet.

    Thank you many times over for giving us Zenyatta fans a chance to see her and her little crown prince. Dottie did a great job, and I understand why she needed a break………she has many other things to do. I really appreciate that the staff at Lane’s End will give us some updates on the progress of Zenyatta 12, and hopefully, let us know when and who Zenyatta is bred back to.

    THANK YOU to the Mosses and Team Zenyatta for giving us even these small glimpses of our beloved Zenny and sweet baby. We can live without the daily diary because we all know our Dottie has given her heart and soul to this for over a year now……..a monumental task. She deserves a rest! So much as we loved it we know it had to happen sooner or later. And it is very gracious of all of you to share anything from her life!! You are all very special people and we love you all.

    And we have fallen in love with TT too, so I hope its okay with LE that you share the rest of her story too.

    Beautiful pic of Zenyatta and her son! Can’t wait to hear if Tasty has a Philly or Colt and then Zenyatta and her can have lots of fun with their babies in the paddock! I love you Zenyatta and your beautiful boy too!
