Happy Wednesday!
Last fall we held our third annual Zenyatta.com Celebration. Zenyatta fans everywhere helped us raise $23,000 for Thoroughbred Rehab Center Inc, and five participants were chosen in a random drawing to win our grand prize, An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta. Each winner was invited to travel with a guest to Lane’s End Farm to meet Zenyatta and receive a tour of the farm. These photos document their visits.
View the complete set of photos from these visits in our 2015 Zenyatta.com Celebration Photo Gallery.
Enjoy!

Somewhere, sometime your dream will come true. Your dream, if you have shaped it and given it substance, is sitting in a mental package , ready to come forth. A dream is a vision given to you to work with and to bring into being. If some unfeeling person has told you that dreaming is a waste of time, you waste your time listening to that idea. Anything you can lay your hand on, anything you can see, anything that comes into your head as a good idea, was a dream before it ever happened.
As country children growing up, almost all our activity involved dreams of what we were going to be when we grew up. Those who had no dream let the world decide for them what they would be. A proverb tells us, where the people have no vision-they perish. Give gifts of vision to your children by playing the game of “see yourself as…” Try it yourself.
Treat all men alike…give them a chance to live and grow.

Dear BGG:
Wonderful find. Thank you for sharing. As I read down the list of the names of horses buried at Calumet, couldn’t help noticing how they bred, raced and laid to rest generations of their horses. One of the great old horse farms; hallowed ground, indeed. They cared for their horses from birth to death. Love and Hugs, JB

BGG,
Thanks for the post. I enjoyed seeing the graves of these great horses. Was especially glad to see the fine marker at my beloved Alydar’s grave. Of course, a few tears over him and Our Mims. Bless Our Mims who had an unhappy time before she was rescued. She was the reason the Our Mims mare retirement farm was founded.
Sally B. (Auntie cherishes Z and her young)
Bluegrass; Thank you for this. Quite a silent moment for me to see the gravestones of all these great horses of the past. Such a history and such a remembrance by Calumet.

Right this minute someone has a need and has no idea how to meet it. Right this minute someone feels alone and has no one to tell them they are loved and cherished. Right this minute a child needs reassurance and love and protection from real and imagined enemies. Reach past personal woes and see these people. See these situations and help without calling attention to yourself. Simply do a good deed-for the good, not the glory, of it.
Too little is being done because too many wait for recognition for their good works. Some will not get involved for fear of helping someone who doesn’t deserve help. None of us especially deserves love, peace, or other kinds of help, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need it. We can be glad for the grace of receiving without deserving it-grateful for those who give without measuring the outcome.
What it boils down to-do the right thing.

Dear Kathy.Thank you for the gorgeous card.Such a beautiful cat.I hope you and Steve have a great day tomorrow.I find there was a lot more community spirit around years ago.My mother and sisters were warned never to ask for reward when helping a neighbour .Yay I got my PC back this morning!Expensive start to my new year. She showed me the pics of all the crumbs Wow!!!.It’s been ages since I have been able to use my caps lock properly I would have to thump it.Zoe is staying silent today because Ziva died yesterday.I left a message on her page.Dolly has been having trouble with the internet and is hoping to post pics for Valentines.Mr Fibbs is exhausted and the Nebada cactus next I think.Felix(a female)they didn’t know the sex when she arrived but have stuck with the name is getting pretty famous she has over 44000 friends now even talk of filming her for a US show.James and Bob go from strength to strength well
over 412000 friends.Mr No Ears has a new page now I think they had to close the other because of some comments.I am really enjoying Portillo’s programme he was in Chesapeake bay last night and talking about the Mason-Dixon line.Portillo was a government minister over here and was sensationally defeated in 97′ but did return for awhile then retired in 2005 and has carved a new career in media.Just seen Denman looking fabulous When AP was taking about him and Kauto Paul looked very serious. It’s so wonderful to see him loving his retirement.Have a wonderful weekend Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
You’re so welcome, and we thank you for your beautiful Valentine. It’s kind of funny to think of how close you can feel to someone you’ve never met in the flesh! So glad you gt your PC back! Happy days are here again!! Yes, I read about Ziva. She was such a beautiful little Sheltie. Dolly having trouble accessing the internet. Poor thing. We get used to unlimited access. Fibbs is reading a book and looking forward to hitting a few buffets. Good for Felix! 44,000 is a LOT! And James and Bob…412,000!!! Poor Mr No Ears. Portillo’s program sounds interesting. You’re getting a lot of our history! Have a wonderful Saturday and thank you again, Sheena! Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
