Happy Wednesday!

Last fall we held our third annual Zenyatta.com Celebration. Zenyatta fans everywhere helped us raise $23,000 for Thoroughbred Rehab Center Inc, and five participants were chosen in a random drawing to win our grand prize, An Invitation to Meet Zenyatta. Each winner was invited to travel with a guest to Lane’s End Farm to meet Zenyatta and receive a tour of the farm. These photos document their visits.

    was there ever a more loving, beautiful, gentle queen of a horse? Z is simply extraordinary. Love to see her interactions with people, and the smiles and expressions on those people’s faces….magic happens with her!
    One day I hope to kiss her nose. In the meantime, congrats to all who were lucky this year.

    Can’t wait for this new baby to arrive!

    We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to visit Zenyatta once again with our good friend, Don Lindburg. It was truly a magical day with snow falling, peppermints and kisses from The Queen.

    Zenyatta has always LOVED her fans. The pictures are wonderful and it is clear not only are the fans in heaven but Zenny is having such a good time too. She is so connected to people and the visits were great for the fans and for our Queen. Love you Zenny,so good to see you sooooo happy.

    Thank you Lane’s End for these wonderful photos of those lucky fans who visited with Zenyatta. My friends were guests and I have anxiously been awaiting these photos. The smiles on the faces tell the story. Zenyatta ALWAYS put a smile on my face and she always will. What a sweet, sweet mare. She loved the attention. I want to thank Lane’s End and all those who participated in the day with Zenyatta. It ( almost) felt as though I was there too.

    My friends got the “snowy, cold day” for sure. I know they had a wonderful time visiting and I got a chance to live it vicariously through them. Maybe, maybe next time.

    Thanks to Team Z, LE and all connections for these excellent photos! You are the very best. The Queen is such a total angel — the personification of gentle love. Her goodness is evident in every picture.
    Congratulations to all the winners! It is apparent that they are soaking up the Z love, and also that Zenny is soaking up their adoring love as well. She is definitely enjoying her visitors! It is lovely to see.

    Dear Kathy.What a marvellous devotional today.We must all learn to forgive ourselves or we would never move on and never be afraid to cry.Oh,gosh it was cold this morning a harsh frost last night and then showers.I hope the weather will not affect the racing on Saturday.I have posted a pic of Her Majesty’s Estimate and her Dubawi foal on my timeline I can’t find any way to share on here.One of Frankel’s fillies has been seen on Newmarket Heath and she is pleasing Ed Dunlop no name yet.Willie Mullins has entered Annie Power in a race at Punchestown next Wednesday but she’s unlikely to run!!Poor Mr Fibbs he’s got involved in an expenses scandal already spending too much $ on doughnuts!He’s heading for Souff Carolina now.A lot took to twitter after seeing Gillian Anderson in the X-files Monday night one thought the aliens had clearly implanted a lot of botox on her face was she sad?was she happy?who knows?I wasn’t too keen myself would have prefered to be left with the memories.I didn’t know about Mango she is a little better according to Mattie but is still tired bless her.Zoe had a spa day ready for Balentines I saw the pic with Gizmo.Did you see the doggie playing the piano?Far better than me.The poms are settling in well at their new office someone thought she was a nurse with a kind boss!.Have you heard of Michael Portillo’s railway programmes?He’s crossing the US in this latest series has been in NY state this week.Love learning a bit more of American history.Have a great Friday eve.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

    Thank you so much for making these wonderful days happen for these very fortunate people and for sharing their joyous reactions with the photos here. Clearly our Queen relishes the attention she recieves from her loving fans so it it a thrill for these people to be able to visit her like this. Maybe some day in the future more of us will be given the opportunity to meet Zenyatta, but until then I will continue to be so grateful for the web-site and your generosity in giving us the glimpes into Zenny’s life on the farm.     The most unbelievable experience of my life! Thanks to the fabulous staff at Lane’s End (Charles,Louise,Megan and Alys) and the kindest people, Jerry and Ann Moss for sharing the most beautiful, kindest, incredible horse, Our Queen, in the world.! My husband and I were one of the blessed people to visit with Zenyatta this year. Words cannot express how amazing Zenny is!! She is so sweet and loving . I DID kiss her on her soft nose. She even put her head on my shoulder ( a big hug!). I wish all of Zenny’s fans could have this amazing experience…..to look into the kindest most intelligent eyes on any animal or human on this planet. It was a dream come true!
    Thank you again Team Zenyatta, the staff at Lane’s End and Jerry and Ann Moss for the experience of a lifetime … We will never forget!

    Higgins Wins First Career Race Aboard Blue Law

    In just her fourth career mount, apprentice Rosie Higgins, who was raised on a farm in eastern Ohio, broke her maiden in Thursday’s second race at Santa Anita aboard Blue Law, who appropriately enough, broke from the rail and was assigned the number “one” in the track’s program.
    With her husband, Hall of Fame jockey, Kent Desormeaux, looking on in civilian attire, Higgins sat a close second at the rail to pacesetter Gavination around the far turn and took command turning for home to win by three lengths while covering 5 ½ furlongs in 1:04.46.

    I’m not sure who had more fun! I know the humans looked pretty excited but Zenyatta looked pretty excited about meeting new friends! Looked like a happy occasion all around!
