Good is a force more powerful than any evil that imperfect mankind or the devil can ever create. LauraJ is right. This site is about nothing else but love, love for Zenyatta and all horses and their people. Fear and loathing only eats alive the souls of those who scatter them. Instead let us spread Zenyatta love widely and far across the land at Thanksgiving and always.

Received a very nice thank you note from Walker Hancock and Claiborne Farm for the mints I sent to Lea. Told Lea that all of you Zenyatta’s blog forgave Blame and wanted him to have some mints.
Blessed Thanksgiving to all here on this wonderful blog. So many friends to talk with about Zenyatta and the boys as well as other horses. I hope everyone has an enjoyable day with friends and families. Don’t know about you all but I am going to eat lots of mashed “taters” and pumpkin pie.
Tizgood
Dear Shirlee,
So glad Lea enjoyed his mints, he is one of my absolute favorites, too.
Thanks for sharing with Blame, I felt bad when no one was happy when
he won the BCC, we were all devastated and weeping that Zenyatta lost.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and be thankful for now our world is at
peace.

Dear Z Family,
Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to everyone. Hope to post some pics of the mustangs in a day or so. I can’t remember if I posted this or not, but we saw mustangs up on the mountain… and we saw mustangs on the ‘golf course’… of all places! We’re not golfers, but we drive up there to get a great view of the mountain. Look forward to catching up on everyone’s posts in the next day or so.
Love to you all!

PS Zenny, have a wonderful Thanksgiving! You’ve given us so much for which to be thankful. Maybe peppermints and a sip of Guiness will be on your menu.

Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Z Fans:
Here’s the update on TT’s I’myoursugardaddy from the Forum as Rosie said.
Here is an update on Sugar!
He safely arrived a month ago in Southern California. His trainer Scott Lake was very helpful and organized the transportation with no cost as it basically was a rescue missing as he put it.
Knowing that he had sustained a fracture we decided to let him heal at a very beautiful rehabilitation place in Temecula, where we had one of our horses some
time ago.
I know there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site so I will write
down the report which the vet gave us after having taken x-rays.
Left Carpus: there are two chips one off the distal radial carpal bone and
one off the proximal third carpal bone. The head of the medial splint bone
is fractured.
Right carpus: There are chips, one off the distal medial radius and one off the
distal lateral radius. The distal radial carpal bone has some lytic change.
So we were advised to let him rest for at least 2 months and then reevaluate
the splint bone fracture.
Maybe someone wants to explain the injury?
Anyway now Sugar is in a nice little pan with lots of sand in it. He enjoys the softness and all he does is eat and lay down to sunbathe along with sleeping and healing ….
He has a very mellow and sweet disposition. We try to visit twice a week and
as of recently he has started coming over to us when we call him Sugar. I like that name for him because he really is sweet!! Can’t change the name IYSD, officially
that is his registered name (:
Unfortunately he is a cribber and we hope he will give it up in time as we were
advised to have a collar put around his neck. He has a little difficulties biting
carrots and peppermints.
Overall he is doing well, seems very happy and is content
Will keep you posted
Poor baby was injured and hoping with time and care, he will be fine. So thankful he is in a good place. Thank you again Rosie, Scott Lake and all who were involved in rescuing this beautiful son of Tasty Temptation. Love and Hugs, JB

Dear Z Fans:

http://imgur.com/52GGFx6
Tizgood
Dear Judy,
Thanks for posting Rosie’s blog from the forum. So glad his trainer sent him to her
safely and had the horses best interest at heart. Great trainer. He is a precious boy,
TT son. Thought he would be a gray. There is a great article in The Horse magazine
October 7, 2015 on equine bone chips. Since he is not going to be a race horse seems like treatment will be on how lame he is after he rests. Some horses tolerate chips without chips without any lameness at all. The splint bone issue is minor and does not
cause lameness. So very very happy they are chips that can be treated conservatively or with surgery. There are many people on this site with horses who have had chips so hope they share there experiences.
Thanks Judy and Rosie for sharing. Keep us posted of Sugars progress. Lucky boy. Hope you plan to ride him.
Love and hugs
Ann NC
Sugar is fine as a pasture ornament for now.

Dear Ann,
TT son is currently in rehabilitation, you must have missed that in

Dear Z Fans:
This is a new twist on Future Wagering for the Kentucky Derby. The article below explains that for the first time fans can pick a horse they think will win the Derby by choosing that horse’s Sire. Guess who’s Sire is top choice. Yup, ZI’s daddy, Tapit. Maybe it’s an omen. Love and Hugs, JB
http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/96161/churchill-unveils-derby-sire-future-wager
Tizgood
Dear Judy,
I like this idea, nice little twist as can bet more than one possibly by sire.
Not sure Tapit has had a Derby winner yet, maybe ?????
Love and hugs
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
ZI could be his first Derby winner. Love and Hugs, JB
Tizgood
Dear Judy,
I wish I was as patient as JS with his horses; I am
getting frustrated that Zi has not started, guess that
is why I am not a trainer and definately would not
have had the patience to train Zenyatta or Beholder.
Just have to trust JS, he is the expert. As Dottie said Zenyatta
was JS’s Micheal Jordan if he gets it right – and he got it right !!!!
Hope the same for Zi !!!
Judy Berube from Rhode Island
Dear Tiz:
The Derby preps will be coming up in the next couple of months and maybe ZI will have his first MSW race soon. Things could become very exciting very quickly. I’m looking forward to COZ’s next start too. Love and Hugs, JB

Happy Thanksgiving, Z-family!
November 26 Cherokee Devotional
The Tsa la gi (Cherokee) senses change. He doesn’t take it from the world nor does he hear it from a voice that comes from a man. But when he stands by the flowing stream with arms outstretched, the voices speak.
The wind has lifted high above, barely touching the limbs of autumn trees, but it has in it a voice that calls us to be ready for change. It is not an imagined thing, not a lower-spirit voice, but a true message from the Great Spirit to stop looking at hardship and fear, to prepare.
A spirit of firmness comes in this call, but it is sweetness as well-a sweetness that heals all the wounds of centuries. It asks all the people to stand together in the true sense, and then they will never fail.
Remember! I have warned you to beware…

thx team Z for all u do fir us <3
todays devo:
Too often we let ourselves believe that we are holding the reins. Am I right? We start feeling like we are in total control of our lives and the lives around us, and before long there is a weight on our shoulders that is too heavy to bear.
This week, we encourage you to shed the weight and focus on Isaiah 58:11 – “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.” Isaiah 58:11 (TLB)

Thank you for this. Always nice to see a win for Mike. Pizza Man was a great favorite of a friend who passed away earlier this month. He loved Frosted too. Liked to say Frosted’s name at any time out of nowhere. Made me laugh. Miss the guy.
Ann NC
Sorry about your friend, Max. Sounds like a wonderful person and friend.
Max
Thanks Ann and Marshall. He was one of the truly good people, always sunny and laughing. He loved all animals. He had studied at one time to be a vet. He never got angry and he never held a grudge. He would give you the shirt off his back. We agreed about everything from day one and had the same sense of humor. He died very suddenly at home from a heart attack at 40. I saw him every day because we worked together. Still cannot believe it. I keep expecting him to walk through the door and yell out his two favorite greetings, either – hello everybody, or good morning Vietnam. Very hard. But have to go on.
Marshall (NC Broad)
Dear Max,
Ditto what Ann NC wrote. It is so hard to lose good friends — very sorry.
