Dear Kathy. In my mind I am still a teenager but my body tells me otherwise especially Mondays!!!Age is just a number they say.The ratties were so engrossed in the match last night they seem to have forgotten the dreaded day is here!Little Cakees had 11 ins of snow and she is so tiny she can’t get out and about.I heard Angel Sammy’s family had got a new dog called Wrigley .Jessie and John have rescued another horse from slaughter called Bear Ranger plus Bear’s headstone has been ordered.
Lovely new pics of Treve on her FB her own CNSM was visiting, she still looks racefit. It’s a dull grey, cold day here rain on the way I think and hopefully milder we have really spoiled this autumn with the warm conditions.Ed hasn’t tweeted much since Red’s passing but someone sent him a sketch of Red with angel wings Moosie paid tribute too.Diesel’s handler spoke yesterday for the 1st time President Putin has sent them a new puppy.I really hope they will give her a posthumous award.Brussels is still in lockdown but they are coping quite well so far.Trouble is these fanatics attack when you least expect it.Fubu and momma intend to carry on.He may have glaucoma and that is painful. He is on medication to see if his BP will drop.I remember the docs would worry if my father’s was higher or lower than 140/90.How is Holly these days?Remember to turtle-turtle.Love and hugs to you, kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.No news on where Boo has gone??
Kathy
Dear Sheena,
So much going on with our animal friends, those in heaven and those we are so fortunate to still have with us. Hard to imagine the ratties forgot to remind us all to turtle-turtle. Holly is well, thanks for asking. She still rules the roost! Hope we hear something from Boo, Buddy and Blue. They’ve been very secretive about where they traveled! I will turtle-turtle as much as possible. Have a nice day in spite of it being Monday. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Today’s devo:
Since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself, saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.” (Hebrews 6:13-14)
There is one Person whose worth and honor and dignity and preciousness and greatness and beauty and reputation is more than all other values combined — ten thousand times more, namely, God himself. So God swears by himself.
If he could have gone higher, he would have gone higher. Why? To give you strong encouragement in your hope. What God is saying in swearing by himself is that it is as unlikely that he will break his word of promise to bless us as it is that he will despise himself.
God is the greatest value in the universe. There is nothing more valuable or wonderful than God. So God swears by God. And in doing that he says: “I mean for you to have as much confidence in me as it is possible to have.” For if more were possible, verse 13 says he would have given us that.
Now this is our God. The God who is reaching as high as he can reach to inspire your unshakable hope. So flee to God for refuge. Turn from all the superficial, self-defeating hopes of the world and put your hope in God. There is nothing and no one like God as a Refuge and a Rock of hope.

Dear Sheena,
Watched Seabiscuit last night the video and had not seen it for years; very heart warming. Loved the ending where he eyes War Admiral and takes off to win- it is all
in the eye. That was Tiznow’s game, he would look them in the eye and they would never
get passed him; the same with Zenyatta, she looked at her foe and said goodbye. Amazing story our Depression hero.
Love and hugs
PS War Admiral was a hunk !!!!
sheena.davies(wales)
Dear Tizgood.Sea Biscuit was on one of our channels the other day and I always cry at the end. It’s an emotional roller coaster and the little guy wins!!Hugs Sheena.Cue Card is trying to go for the Betfair bonus to win the Betfair(already has) King George and Cheltenham gold cup!
Tizgood
Dear Sheena,
Best of luck to Cue Card he is doing things so easily; hope Silvi catches up. Surgery can really be a wonderful thing. Read the book Seabiscuit in highschool forgot about his great pedigree and how he was “swept under the straw”; only to
be rediscovered and to be recognized the champion that he was born to be. Saw the movie when it came out; such a wonderful depression hero. Hearing a lot about Belgium and how things became they are; with O attitude Belgium will be replicated here. Heard a mother of an ISIS son, who threatened to kill her if she revealed herself on the news, so remorseful and guilty, just not understanding what she did to create a son who belonged to ISIS. Felt so very sad for her. Belgium is still in lockdown and Europe is in chaos. We are getting prepared.
Love and hugs

Just read Steve Haskin’s “Its In The Blood” on Bloodhorse.com. Says it all for those of us who have suffered from and gloried in the “horse racing bug” for so many years. Hankies in hand when you read it. Sorry, I don’t know how to post it here.

It is your life, so get it all together. Go back and see where you dropped the threads you were weaving. Was there a weak one? Did it break, or was it inferior from the beginning?
Know these things. Know what happened and if it was your fault or if you tried to weave alien threads into your life. Never be afraid to admit fault, it is one of the most freeing things you can do. Simply say, “I did wrong and I am sorry. From this day on I do right”-and begin again.
Unite your effort with your new vision and don’t get lazy. Get it together-body, mind, and spirit-if you want a good life.
It has come to me as through the bushes that you are not yet all united; take time and become united…

Dear Kathy.I am never afraid to admit I am in the wrong and apologise!Sad to hear Coneygree is out of the Hennessy a poor schooling session. He had spread a plate about 10 days ago and hasn’t really recovered.Their one aim is to get him ready for the festival now.Gorgeous pics of Princess Quevega on Fly’s page today I could only share the one from the stud though.Trouble at mill as the northeners would say Turkey has shot down a Russian plane and one of the pilots is dead Russia denies they were in Turkey’s airspace why do humans make such a mess of things? The ratties were confused yesterday because of the holidays I told them we hab no Fanksgibbing in the UK so I had to turtle.Gosh he looks sweet with his Teddy.Zoe is such a sweetheart asking for folks to give to a rescue who lost many animals because of a fire.Boo and Buddy were out walking in the park with the human no news of their travels last week.Did you see that horrific story about some siblings left alone in a flat who literally cooked their baby sister!Pregnant mother and boyfriend were out Children are all in foster care now.Happened in Houston I think.Whatever next??
Hope you have a great day..Love and hugs to you, kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO.No more news of Fubu or Mr No Ears

Dear Sheena,
too bad about Coneygree. Hopefully he’ll be able to take part in the festival. Loved the pic of Princess Quevega you shared with me. What a beauty! Seems like we hear one horrible story after another these days. I always check CNN.come throughout the day to see what awful things are occurring. The ratties were funny yesterday. It was Wednesday for us, but sadly still Monday for you. Love the pics of ratties with their Teddies! That was a wonderful gesture from Zoe. She is precious and you can see her Mommy has such a good heart. Saw the pic of Boo and Buddy out walking with Human. Perhaps the park was near their travel destination. Had not seen the Houston story. How horrible! Just haunting. Will look for it. Have a good day in spite of this crazy world we are living in. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO

Rob dropped me off at the laundry mat while he’s at work. We desperately need clean clothes.haha.
@kathy – wonderful devo today?
Today’s devo:
So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us. (Hebrews 6:17-18)
Why does the writer encourage us to hold fast to our hope? If our holding fast was obtained and irrevocably secured by the blood of Jesus, then why does God tell us to hold fast?
The answer is this:
What Christ bought for us when he died was not the freedom from having to hold fast but the enabling power to hold fast. What he bought was not the nullification of our wills as though we didn’t have to hold fast, but the empowering of our wills because we want to hold fast. What he bought was not the canceling of the commandment to hold fast but the fulfillment of the commandment to hold fast. What he bought was not the end of exhortation, but the triumph of exhortation.
He died so that you would do exactly what Paul did in Philippians 3:12, “I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.” It is not foolishness, it is the gospel, to tell a sinner to do what Christ alone can enable him to do, namely, hope in God.
So I exhort you with all my heart: reach out and take hold of that for which you have been taken hold of by Christ, and hold it fast with all his might.

To LauraJ, what a wonderful post of yours on the previous page. Just wonderful. I so agree with you. There are so many evils that face us all. I can’t understand not helping our fellow human being from being slaughtered. I think Asad and IsIs are responsible for over 300,000 deaths. I have faced the evil of cancer and would not wish that on any human. Is it a test for us here while we live? Don’t know, but I think for those that give their lives and do good while here, I think there is a wonderful place in heaven for them. Look at Todd Beamer who stormed Teorrists with other brave Americans and saved others. Look at Lisa Halaby, Great American, Horse Person, and better known as Queen Noor, Widow of King Hussain of Jordan. If you look at all she’s done, helped rufugees in many country’s and yes Syria. It’s just amazing. And her religion is Islam. There are many good Muslems right here and all around the world.
There are always going to be bad things happening while we are here on earth as it is. Untill God comes back in final victory. We can’t walk around in fear, we have to be as vigilant as we can, but I think the US will do everything it can to keep Terroists out. My heart goes out to all the people who are being brutalized in these foreign countries and I say Bravo for all who want to help them survive. I know its who I am to want to help people to survive and not only people but animals, horses, cats dogs, all. Its life and very precious, we only get one.
I know I don’t want any person to die, not even one, but I believe if it happens to a believer there’s a better place.

Dear Peggy. It’s such a sad world at the moment.Russia is warning of serious consequences now because their plane was shot down.as if that region hasn’t enough problems,Sometimes I just tire of the human race.We are only here a short while and inhabit a glorious planet. Why cannot we learn to live in peace with one another?Hugs Sheena

Agreement is a power tool in getting things done. It has been written that where two agree as touching anything on earth-it will happen. This can explain why some things happen and others do not.
It is not often that we set out to agree with someone. More often we want to put our point across and we’re not set to hear what someone else thinks is good. But this is one of the spiritual laws that govern a person’s ability to live well on this earth.
When you have a need, or there is something important that needs to happen, call in your agreement partner and make a pact. This is the gi ga, the covenant between two people that produces results.

Today’s devo:
It is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 4:15)
Gratitude is joy toward God for his grace. But by its very nature, gratitude glorifies the giver. It acknowledges its own need and the beneficence of the giver.
Just like I humble myself and exalt the waitress in the restaurant when I say, “Thank you,” to her, so I humble myself and exalt God when I feel gratitude to him. The difference, of course, is that I really am infinitely in debt to God for his grace, and everything he does for me is free and undeserved.
But the point is that gratitude glorifies the giver. It glorifies God. And this is Paul’s final goal in all his labors: for the sake of the church — yes; but, above and beyond that, for the glory of God.
The wonderful thing about the gospel is that the response it requires from us for God’s glory is also the response which we feel to be most natural and joyful, namely, gratitude for grace. God’s glory and our gladness are not in competition.
A life that gives glory to God for his grace and a life of deepest gladness are always the same life. And what makes them one is gratitude.
