    Dear Tizgood.Yes,John is considering sending GH out to the US.I doubt he would get good ground over here in October.Jack Hobbs may race on champions day.New market had an open day today and GH plus Jack Hobbs were parading.30 of the yards were open to the public.Next Saturday the Morning line is being broadcast from Banstead Manor Frankel’s home.I enjoyed Judy’s article about the two Bobbies.they were both magical.Sad about Sheikh Mo’s son so very young.Love and hugs Sheena

      Dear Sheena,
      Oh my gosh the great GH coming here for the BC turf, he is such a gorgeous boy, may have to go to the BC to see him and Gleneagles. Don’t think the Arc ground is going to suit any of the Euro’s too soft. So sad about the young Sheik, they have trouble with drinking and drugs that are very hidden in their culture. So glad butterstick is growing and getting spoiled; his mum is taking such good care of him. Steve Haskin wrote such a wonderful article about Frankel the horse and the man. Bobby the man would have so loved the horse, I watch the Champion stakes he won when he had tea time in the gate and put CIA away amazingly, such a great race showed what a great champion he was on soft ground not his favorite ground. I would love to have a baby Frankel !!!

    So terribly sad to hear of the passing of Sheikh Rashid. I visited Darley around the time right after he won with Henny Huges. Remember seeing all the pic’s of him with Henny Hughes. So much happiness I remember during that time for him. Remember seeing him with the reigns of Henny after the race.
    Rest in Peace Sheikh Rashid. Great Great Horseman. Remembering you this day.

      Wow, You did it. That’s my boy………………………Over the moon. Get you some good rest now. I remember the last video they did of you almost passing out to sleep after your other big race. Your a beautful boy

        • Max, he had come so close before. So happy for him. Wonder what would have happened had American Pharoah come to this race. Bob Baffert had talked about it.

        • I recall that it was reported that Baffert had thought of this race for AP. However, we can only deal with what we have in front of us. This was a terrific win for Frosted. He’s a trooper of a horse like the horses of old who ran back quickly without any long layovers. He deserves this win and all of the credit that goes with it. He also has the the most interesting coat since Oxbow. Good and noble head too. Great day for Frosted and his fans.

          You’re so right. I actually thought the Travers might have taken too much out of Frosted (he tried so hard) to be competitive yesterday. Wow, was I wrong. He’s incredible and a beautiful Gray. Love and Hugs, JB

      Judy, He did it. So Happy. A nice win for the Darley team. Knew he had to do it on this day. So heartbroken for Sheikh Mohammed’s family

        • Yes, this is just so sad, He was so young. We just never know do we. I remember seeing such happiness on his face for the horses. He sure seemed proud of Henny Hughes.

    Congrats to your boy, Frosted. He sure did it. Don’t know where or if Upstart finished. Did anyone notice if they gave Upstart’s jock a flashlight so he could find his way home eventually? That is something an old Kentucky hardboot told me many years ago. “You know you are in trouble when they put the jock up and hand him a lantern!”

      So happy for Frosted and JR too. That joke is a funny “Old Chestnut”. I think our TC posted it before on the Blog too.

      Upstart finished 5th; race comment was “wide, tired”. I was surprised Made From Lucky never fired either. He finished 7th; “outside, no factor”. Hope all of them came back to the barn OK. Love and Hugs, JB

      Thanks Shirlee – I was happy that Frosted crossed the line first (would have been even happier if I had stuck with him as intended in our little handicapping contest rather than bolting when I saw his very short post-time odds :-(. Was really upset that when he finally won one, TVG couldn’t stick with it long enough to show him and his peeps in the winner’s circle.

    I loved the photo of Zenyatta taking John’s hat off, she loves her people so much.
    I think she would enjoy seeing others too, that may be possible one day.
    She is forever beautiful and her spirit shines bright, great to see her enjoying herself.

    Sooo excited about Frosted’s win,have been fond of him for ages and he has been so close. Like Peggy,I remember when he looked like he was going to pass out after the other big race.You did it boy!!!! Now rest and recover.

    Very sad to hear about Shiek Mohammed’s son,RIP

    Dear Kathy.A blessed Sabbath to you.The furbabies I have managed to visit so far are well even Fubu is back up to 9lbs!His Nana went along to the doc with him she had been to the beauty salon.Very attractive lady.Judy should be home today there was a mix-up with her hotel booking but she was able to get a room for the night.I dread to think what all this is doing to her blood pressure.She has 500 miles to travel today.Lacy had a lovely birthday party and Katybug joined in the celebrations.Still no signs of Mr No Ears..Mio has had surgery on the wound he had on his head and a biopsy on his ears.Have a great day.Love and hugs to you ,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO

      Dear Sheena,

      Rough day at work yesterday. The Parks and Recreation department up on the second floor had their alarm go off and so THEIR Building Services men entered the building to check on that through the library entrance, causing OUR alarm to go off. We couldn’t even clear it, the alarm was going off all day long. It was a total mess. About 15 minutes before closing the Building Services supervisor called us and asked that we stick around so we could let in the technician he was sending out FINALLY. So worked 1/2 hour overtime. I was exhausted. Slept late this morning. All I’m doing today is having lunch with my aunt and cousin. I’m glad all is well with the furbabies. That’s good little Katybug could join in on the birthday celebration for Lacy. It’s so sad though with what is ahead. You’re right, all of this is not good for Judy’s BP. That’s wonderful news that Fubu has put on some weight! YAY! I hope we’ll get word for Mr No Ears. Best wishes for Mio, poor dear. Have a blessed Sabbath.       I am so Happy about Orfevre. He is such a talent. Just love this boy dearly. Will be eagerly looking for one of his youngsters to carry on for him. Any yeah a win in the Arc.
      You know only two weeks now to the Arc. I am hoping so hard that Treve can do it again, but I wanted to ask have any of you heard anything about Flintshire. Wonder if he will go. He seems to be a really talented boy. Like him a lot too.

    But how? Stop the mind from falling into uselessness that is a quagmire. When there seems to be no point to anything discouragement sets in. Let the weak say, “I am strong.” Speak to yourself in very certain terms that this is the end of blues and the beginning of colorful thoughts and delightful days. Then put your hands to work and give your mind a rest.

    The Earth-Mother is listening to me and I hope that all may be so arranged that from now on there shall be no trouble.

    On Octover 12, I am sure hoping that TVG will be showing some of the races from Kyoto Racecourse. I have a holiday that Monday and am so hoping some races will be shown here the night before. Sure want to see the Orfevre Memorial at Noon. This boy’s got my heart and miss him so much. It will be a late night for me. Time Difference. But, I would stay up all night for Orfevre.

    Dear Peggy.I’ll be getting up early next Saturday (a miracle for me)I to see Frankel.They are broadcasting from Banstead Manor I see Flintshire is a possible for the BC and the Arc but I should imagine it will be the Arc.I am getting excited about the new jumps season Nicky Henderson had a open day and he’s very excited about Sprinter Sacre.He seems back to his old self.Love and hugs Sheena.

    D. WAYNE LUKAS said he was not sure when he last had anything to drink, but knew it had been hours, if not a day or more. When he asked his nurse if he could drink anything late Sunday morning, she explained that he would be undergoing a procedure shortly that required that he not eat or drink for some hours before it.
    “I’ll cowboy up,” the Hall of Fame horse trainer said.
    Of course he would.

      It was a great day of racing at Parx, thoroughly overshadowed by outside events.
      Just before the eighth race, Bill Hudgins, who was doing in-house handicapping in the winner’s circle at the track as he does on every big day there and at Atlantic City, started to “feel really light-headed” and was about to topple over when fellow workers eased him to the ground.
      Dr. Rizen was summoned. Hudgins was placed on a stretcher. The man known by his legion of friends at the track as “Hudg” was a floor below Lukas yesterday at Aria. He had a small stent inserted above his aorta and is going to be fine, probably being discharged today.

      Dear BGG, Thank you so much for all the information. Loved reading about my boy Orfevre. Sure wish they would bring him for that celebration. I know i’ll have to keep hoping real hard for that one.
