Dear Judy B.,
Thanks for posting these links for today’s races. That certainly was some performance by Honor Code and Javier!
Have a lovely Sunday. It’s supposed to be beautiful here tomorrow — today was very nice. Tolerable temperatures and best of all, low humidity.
Hugs and Love to you and Lola Mae

Dear Marshall:
HC was magnificent. Glad your weather is pleasant. We’re in for another week of high humidity according to the forecast. Love and Hugs, JB and LM
Congratulations to Honor Code and all the connections, including LE! What a race.
Also Cavorting. If anyone has news of Brandi, please post. Hugs to all.
Hi Z’sters,
Just a moment to announce that I have adopted a shelter dog to be a brother to my sweet, beautiful Bailey! He comes from the Orange County (NC) shelter, and Bailey was at the Chatham County shelter. I am still working on names, but am leaning toward “Smudge”. He only weighs 25 lbs and is estimated to be 5 years old, though my vet thinks he could be a little younger. He is black with a small white spot on his chest, and he has somewhat wiry hair. Bailey and he are doing very well together. This little terrier mix barks at Bailey which confuses her, I think. Just brought him home yesterday afternoon. He seems to be a quick learner. He feels a bit intimidated by Bailey since she towers over him and weighs 57 lbs, but she is being very good with him.
Lots of Hugs and Love
Congratulations on your new family member, Marshall & Bailey. He sounds like a real cutie! Thank you for choosing a shelter dog. May you have many happy years together! love, Donna, Amy & Cappy

Sheena and lovers of older horses. Bashboy with shorty aboard won the Australian Grand National in good form. Bash is 12 years old, a beautiful looking horse, and tough as they come. He was very proud of his victory. He looked like he was smiling. This is a magnificent win.
Dear Max.You rise far earlier than me,I have just found out about the short guy and Bashboy!!Australia’s answer to Red Rum.A fabulous win for Shortie!Between the Ashes yesterday and Ruby there must be some woeful faces in Australia today.Very excited for all.Sheena
Dear Sheena
Just read Ruby is going to the Australian Grand National to ride a horse
they were going to send to jump in the UK. They want Ruby’s opinion and
they may send him. All are excited to have such a prestigious jumps jockey
come there.
Love and hugs
Dear Max.I have just watched the replay What a horse!Such testing ground.I had heard the connections had once thought of sending him over for our Grand National remember Crisp in 73′.He was a huge chaser and jumped the fences as if they were hurdles. There’s been a huge buzz about Shortie’s visit to Australia! congratulations to Bashboy and Shortie.Sheena.
It was a fabulous race. Bashboy was sailing over those fences. He might do well in the UK because he jumps to the right. Ruby said that the regular jockey gave him a full briefing on what to do. Bash gave his all. Very courageous racer. Love some of the names of the other horses. King of Dirt is a good one.
Conversation does not reflect the grand training our mothers and grammar teachers hoped we would remember. But we are aware that when we say “ain’t,” it ain’t right. Frequently, those little words express what we want to say better than what is considered correct.
Why is it that we notice these things when dozens of vulgar and offensive words are used without anyone showing surprise. Maybe people are not aware that words are creative and shape who we are-coarse and without polish or gentle and caring. We have a responsibility to keep ourselves clean and it begins with our words.

After seeing Honor Code who is one of my favorite horses win the Whitney and the Met mile I am thinking that American Pharoah should not be complacent coming home in the last furling of the Classic.
What a race that is going to be if all is well with both horses.
Honor Code reminds me of Zenny coming from the clouds so far back and eating up the ground.
He would be a good match for her in the future, I hope being a ridgling does not affect his ability to breed.
Dear Donna
What a great race the Whitney was, Honor Code came barelling down with
fast fractions to over come Liam’s Way, who set fractions consistently of 22 and
change. Not sure AP has consistently run that fast and LW ran that fast the whole
way with out giving an inch. Maybe the older guys are pretty good. Will have to see.
Love and hugs
Hi all Zsters,
Just saw this new post and had to drop in and see the boys. Handsome devils they are. I wish JS would get those stall balls especially for CoZ he just loved his as LE when he was younger. They both look awesome.
Donna, I had the same thought about Zenny and HC having a future date. Daddy Indy is a ridgling and it never stopped him from producing many babies. Dottie had originally wanted Indy for Zenny so this might be a possibility. What an amazing race he ran, I couldn’t believe he could make up all that ground and win. One has to wonder if he had been able to race in any of the TC races if history would have been different.
I’m also very happy for Cavorting and Stonestreet and Bernie. His babies have been doing well lately.
Love to mama Zen, CoZ, Zi and angel Princess, and congrats and kisses to proud papa Indy.
Dear Kathy.A Blessed Sabbath to you.A great win for Ruby and Bashboy in Australia this morning!Mango is getting a lot of support about her “baby”talk Poor wittle Katy got confused and wandered off she can’t hear or see well now.Hawley’s ashes have returned home so Ray is happy to get his big Brudda back and was enjoying himself in the garden with Jack.Off to visit the Dyfi now.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
Dear Tizgood.Ruby was more than happy with Bashboy.A historic win for them.Ruby has,of course, won all the Grand Nationals over here. The English,Scottish, Welsh, Irish now he has the Australian to add to his CV.Hugs Sheena.
Dear Sheena,
Just read the article in the post, what a great win, love the photo of him almost falling
off. Those guys have such great balance and coordination, don’t know how he stayed
on. He has won so many GN. What a great horse, will he come to the UK?
Love and hugs
Dear Sheena,
Just saw the video of the AGN, Bashboy is one tough horse just like all great
jumps horse and a gorgeous light bay my favorite color. What a great GN. What
a great ride by Ruby, weaving in and out, such great balance, so envious of their
riding skill, just top notch riders.
Love and hugs
