Take Charge Brandi will return in the Test on Saturday at Saratoga. First race back since injury in January. Godspeed beautiful Chestnut girl; safe and sound. Love and Hugs, JB
Love you, dear Zenny. So glad to see you enjoying your bath and looking great. Of course, you know we’re hoping for another filly but we’ll love whatever God gives you.
Bless you.
Hovis is very disappointed he hasn’t received an invite to “Your Horse is Alive”this year(tears) plus his mum gave him a bath in “Pimp your Pony” shampoo!!!Seriously mum!!!His new book is to be called Hovis. The fast and the feathery.Safe trips to all horses and jockeys this weekend in the Shergar cup.Sheena. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/blog/hovis-friday-i
Thank you for our Hovis update. Hopefully he will be invited to “Your Horse is Alive”next year. Mum must have a very weird sense of humor. No manly horse like our Hovis should be washed in pink shampoo. At least his feathers were nice and white for a little while! Happy weekend everyone. Safe trips for all horses and jockeys. Hugs, Kathy.
Sounds like the title of his next book should be “Hovis: The MIsunderstood.” Poor baby – the indignities just keep coming :-( Thanks, Sheena, for our Friday treat.
Love the photo of Hovis. His mane looks very “feathery”; no doubt part of his disappointment. Too cute. Thank you for our weekly Hovis update. Love and Hugs, JB
Coming home is near to being a gift of the spirit. Hours have passed and duty has been performed. It is the hour of return-the hour when the circle is completed and coming home is the hour of grace.
Sometimes the circle is just a little one-a time of going out and coming back. It doesn’t take long. But years can lie between the going out and the coming back. It is the innate compulsion in an Indian to return to his beginnings-the essential completion of going back. Indeed, of coming home. And he can hear the voices, catch the fragrances, and feel the presence of his forbears and it is a thing of grace that renews and restores his spirit.
When I look upon you I know you are all big chiefs.

Kathy,
Beautiful and true. Love the phrase “coming home is the hour of grace”. “Coming home” is like returning from a race – kicking off shoes, looking out windows, watching the sunset. Breathing again the scents of the desert and mountains, while we see familiar critters show up to check on us. And we hear …’nothing’ … except a slight breeze or distant thunder of a summer evening rain on the way, or faint whirring wings of the tiny hummingbirds. It is a bit of ‘heaven’ this side of Heaven. Praying God’s blessings today for you, Kathy, and everyone here on Zennys’s website and for Zenny and her ‘boys’. with love, Elizabeth
Yes, coming home resonates with all of us, I think. And even if we can’t go there we have all those wonderful memories. God’s blessings to you today, too. Hugs, Kathy
Dear Kathy.Home is where the heart is!All the furbabies I have visited are fine and Fubu has put on weight is 8lbs 6ozs now and got to visit Petco!Someone has told Mango it’s time she grew up now and spoke normally! As you can imagine no one agreed with her!Why on earth follow her then? so stupid.Oh,poor Hovis and the pink shampoo at least his feathers stayed white until it rained and Herman has deserted him too.Karen had asked for suggestions about renaming the shampoo on FB this week.
Jules Hudson of “Countryfile”fame visited the Dyfi this week.Programme will be on the 23rd.There are 20 reserves on the MWT and a female osprey from Perthshire turned up at Dolydd Hafren yesterday I think.I wish one of Monty’s chicks would return.
Oh,the cricket is going SO well. The Aussies are playing the 2nd innings now and Australia are very excited about Ruby visiting.Have’nt had such a buzz since BC retired.Hopefully he can win!Have a great Friday.Love and hugs to you,Kisses for Holly,Nikko and Sugar.SheenaXOXO
That’s wonderful that Fubu has put on weight! That’s a wonderful accomplishment when you consider the condition of his poor little mouth. Wow…harsh post on Mango’s speech! As you say, don’t visit the page if you don’t like the way she speaks. Feeling bad for Hovis regarding the color of the shampoo. Even if they rename it, it’s still PINK. Not a very manly color. It needs to be blue or maybe gray or something. Even just white. Poor Hovis…That’s pretty cool that someone famous was at the Dyfi. That would be great if one of Monty’s chicks returned. Enjoy the cricket matches! Did you see the great pic of Boo, Buddy and Blue? They are all so photogenic! Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy the weekend ahead. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy XOXO
Z’s face has such a sweet look. She looks peaceful and content.
So even thought Truenicks gives a cross between her and Pioneerof the Nile a D, what would be the chances of a cross with her and American Pharoah? Or even POTN?

Ooops, that’s “Sheena.” Not sure what happened to that S!

I think a vendor supplied the shampoo as a courtesy and to see what the “big guy” thought about it. He will NOT be hawking its virtues in public :-)

Hi!
Wow!
Zenyatta is so gorgeous.
Maybe her coloring was different because she was in the sun.
Thank you!
