Oh Ziconic, what a beautiful boy you are!!!!! That blaze is so perfect for you. Momma Z is very proud of you I am sure. Your friend Daisy is pretty too! It’s wonderful to see you looking so grown up and happy with your friend.
Thank you to the Mayberry Farm and always to Team Z.
Love and blessings to all,
Marypny
Hi handsome,
Hope we get an update soon on your training and how its going. You look to be growing up nicely and I hope you are learning your lessons like your brother CoZ, who should be in his first race soon. Hope your mama gets to see these pics of her gorgeous boy. Thanks to all for the great shots. hugs
wow he is gorgeous! Thank you all for sharing these photos. It’s so nice to be able to keep up with Zenyatta and her boys. Ziconic is a very special horse!
I was just thinking about you yesterday & wondering how you are doing.
Ziconic, you look wonderful. So grown up.
Thank you Team Z and Mayberry for the photos.
Your new friend Daisy is too cute.
Happy First Day of Spring and
It’s International Day of Happiness
Thanks so much for the pics of Ziconic. Of course, he is striking…. Can’t wait to see more of him as he “graduates” to the next stage. He’s built so differently from his brother, Cozmic One, as well as being the color of a shiny copper penny.
Hey ♥ Ziconic! I was just going to post your brother’s workout on the previous blog… I decided to share it on here :-)
Cozmic One (3-Year-Old Colt)
Date: March 20, 2015
Track: SANTA ANITA PARK
Distance: Five Furlongs
Time: 1.01:20 Handily
Track Condition: Fast
Surface: Dirt
Rank: 36/59
ZI you are so handsome!!! Daisy is one lucky pussy cat!!! I envy her LOL I hope you got the card I sent for Valentine’s Day.
We look forward to when you are in Shirreffs’ barn. Heart be still to think of two Zenyatta boys at the race track!!!! I don’t know if we can take it LOL
Looking good, Ziconic! In only 12 more days you will REALLY be 2, not only officially 2. What a big, beautiful colt you have grown into in those 24 months. Of course, you have always been beautiful, but now you’re also big. Enjoy your work there at “school” and especially enjoy recesses.
Thanks Team Z and Mayberry Farm for these updates.
Thanks for sharing this link. Love Mikey. We Z’sters and Dumplings relive that race here on the Blog often. Can only imagine how Mikey feels. I think it was one of Z’s best, if not THE best, race of Z’s career. What a team they were. Love and Hugs, JB
Judy,
Every discussion I’ve had with racing fans all agree it was the best race she ever ran! She passed every single horse. But one. We do not see it as a “loss”. She proved what an incredible athletic she is (was)!
I fell in love with her more (if that was possible) because of what she accomplished in that last race!!! She got more respect with that 2nd place, too. A lot of people’s jaws dropped with that stretch run LOL
I has the honor to be there when she ran that race and my heart still pounds and tears still well up in my eyes when I recall her effort. Zenny proved, for once and for all that day, why she and she alone is The Queen!
Such a pretty boy! I shouldn’t call you pretty but wow, how handsome you are. Eat up all your feed, grow tall and strong and learn your lessons well. We can’t wait to see you. It’s like we all have this secret (that’s you) in our hearts as we wait to see your big brother Coz in his first race.
Your little sister sure broke our hearts but we’re all hopeful to hear some good news from you mom soon.
In her last race Zenyatta won far more than any of us could imagine. Of course I cried. I cried for Mike in the interview afterward. Zenyatta didn’t win the flowers draping over her but she was draped with a love that will never die. No horse ever ran a more tremendous race. She gave it her everything. To see her happy and healthy on the farm sometimes it takes my breath away. Long Live the Queen.
Thank you Team Z for allowing us into the lives of the Queen and her Princes. A wonderful Friday treat. Although it’s snowing in the Northeast again, Happy First Day of Spring!
Dear Team Z.Thank you for the wonderful new pics of Ziconic and Daisy his furry companion.Zenyatta’s 2nd son is a handsome lad for sure!!She has 2 princes to be proud of!A mother in a million.Love and hugs SheenaX
Will Ziconic be going to John’s barn any time soon? Don’t remember how soon Coz left Mayberry for John. That could be an age thing. Probably could look it up maybe. That would be a lazy thing!
Coz arrived at Johns barn in Belmont at the 1st of June 2014. John quoted that he had been in the paddock for a few weeks so he needed to rebuild his strength, etc. Hopefully they will send Zi a bit earlier so JS doesn’t have to rebuild his muscles. Can’t wait to see him on the track.
He sure looks gorgeous! Any word on when he will move to the next level? Thanks so much for keeping us updated. Never can get too much information or too many videos or photos!
Max
He is the most interesting colt in the world.

Mike Smith’s loss aboard Zenyatta in 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic still stings.

Absolutely beautiful, Ziconic!!! You have a gorgeous sweet face like your mom.
Read the article about the Classic in 2010. I could never look at it again either. Such a heartbreaker.
Love to you, Zenny. You are such a joyful part of my life.
Thank you for the update.
